FFS Cup

FFS Cups – Results and Quarter-Final Draws

We take some time this evening to find out who has made it through to the quarter-finals of our two Premier League cup competitions.

Topping the bill among the last eight ties is a Live Hall of Fame top ten derby between Mark, whose rank of 297 makes him the highest-placed remaining manager, and the 423-ranked My Pretty Pony (aka Peter Kouewenberg). While Mark has the rank advantage, Peter’s second placing in the Live Hall of Fame, compared to Mark’s sixth spot, could see him prevail.

Choppers13, who conquered Patio Kev in round five, takes on Team Fosu-Mensah, who is at 3,474 – 2,506 places behind his top 1,000-ranked opponent.

The third quarter-final looks likely to be another close affair, with Sleepysi ranked just 960 behind 1,192-placed Fouad Khan.

Given the current rank of the other six managers through, both 364,588-placed K3lviN and 229,821-ranked The Shaman will be breating a sigh of relief as they face each other in a clash of the competition’s lowest-ranked remaining managers by some distance.

The full quarter-finals draw can be found here.

Choppers13 is the Members cup’s highest ranked-manager – and the only one still in both competitions. He has, on the face of it, a far easier tie in the Members cup, when he takes on 132,642-ranked Barwood.

The giant-killing exploits of 46,996-placed rogerbarton have taken him into the quarter-finals. Fresh from seeing off an 88th-ranked Pukka in round four, Roger defeated 20,109-placed Dr Ennet in the final 16 to set up an encounter with aspern, another higher- ranked manager, who sits in 12,763,

Cheltnamshire lalala, who currently sits at 3,056 and defeated community writer Kryten in the last 16, will square up to 59,241-ranked Malaikat Jahad.

Elsewhere, 13,579-placed Dynamic is the favourite in his quarter-final tie with Thecrystalball, who is the contest’s lowest-ranked manager at 171,998.

The full quarter final round draw can be found here.

There is £350 in Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk vouchers up for grabs for the final top three managers in both tournaments.

Good luck to all those involved and if you would like more information on the schedule and prizes, click this link.

Hazard involves too many decisions right now so just going to let his price rise. Anyone else?

Think so yeah but don't know who for. Don't want to move Eriksen and Gabbiadini out only to want them back in and lose £0.4 in saved value. Wiser just to take the extra £0.1 hit on Hazard if he does rise

      Caballero Pickford

      Alexis Alli Erisken Sane King
      Kane Jesus Gabbiadini

The problem is money is tied up in all of them, especially Eriksen. So going to wait before deciding how to get Hazard in as don't want to lose lots of value.

Should we not be getting a little more realistic about Soton.

Four fixtures in ten days with absolutely nothing to play for. Shane Long, Austin, Jrod...blah, blah, blah...

Can somebody give me a single reason why they won't rotate with a view to taking another look at their striker options for next season.

I know what I'd be doing if I was manager...and it wouldn't involve playing the same player four games in a row,..why would he?

Good points, though they don't have the personnel to rotate their defence that much. As for their strikers, they know what they have with Shane Long so I don't see him preferred to Gabbiadini for any reasons other than rest.

just checked the statistics... long & JRod was bad when they're on pitch.....so i guess gabbi still their main striker.

subbed early maybe strategy to keep him fresh, so i as owner expect gabbi to deliver early 🙂

      - puel want to save his job by winning all their remaining fixtures.
      - players want to perform at their best to attract other teams.
      - they want to punish FPL players who dare to bench them 🙂

Hmm, this could go both way. Can see Leicester scoring at least two and theres a decent chance he could get an assist. Might be a cleanie too so thats +1. But Soton plays two so that should be at least 4 points. Cant see a CS though. Probably still Yoshi but like I said, could go both ways easily.

    Good Morning DZ,
Looking at the following transfers next week for the big GW37:

    A. Hennessey + Valencia + Eriksen + Gestede to Caballero + Vertonghen + T.Carroll + Jesus (-12) 0.4 itb

    B. Hennessey + Kane + Gestede to Caballero + Jesue + Llorente (-8) 1m itb

I currently have the big three Spurs attackers in my side and one needs to give way to Jesus. Thoughts?

What do you think of it, G2G? On WC.

    Pickford - Caballero
    Alonso - Monreal - Yoshida - Stephens - Holgate
    Alli - Sanchez - Hazard - King - Albrighton
    Jesus - Kane - Costa

Cech and Monreal sure look tempting for the Double Double especially with BB in 37 with Willy and Cech both playing.

Experienced managers - will monreal rise tonight? Currently on 92.9.

100.5 on FFFix...... I reckon he probably won't.

Can FFFix price predictor ever be trusted? Seems to often be all over the place, e.g.: FPL Stats has Townsend on 74. Fix has him on 145!

    A) Play Lowton or J.Stephens for DGW 36?
    B) Do i need to upgrade Stephens to Yoshida?
    C) Di i need to upgrade Monreal to Kosc?
    On a WC

C Monreal should play. Kosc more chance of bonus and maybe due a goal.

How's the lineup looking? Would you promote Albrighton (WAT) to first sub or replace Yoshi? Considering Alonso/Monreal captain too

    Cech
    Alonso Cahill Monreal Yoshi
    Hazard Alli Eriksen Sane
    (K)ane Jesus

    Pickford | Stephens Albrighton Anichebe
