Dugout Discussion – West Ham vs Huddersfield

The Gameweek concludes at the London Stadium where West Ham are treated to their first home game of the campaign against Huddersfield Town.

At the start of the season, this appeared to be a fixture which would have seen us back the Hammers’ assets for returns. Three games in and the outlook is very different.

The Terriers turn up undefeated and with no goals conceded. That form has seen the likes of goalkeeper Jonas Lossl and defender Zanka pick up 8.4% and 10.4% ownership respectively. Meanwhile, playmaker Aaron Mooy is backed by 12.9% having produced a goal and an assist to this point.

But West Ham have the best-supported player on show tonight.

Chicharito is part of 1.4 million squads and is backed by 159,000+ (3.3%) with the captaincy.

Significantly, he’ll be supported by Andy Carroll in the West Ham attack, in what appears to be a 3-5-2 set-up deployed by the under pressure Slaven Bilic.

Joe Hart is the next best owned West Ham asset in action, although 71% of his 500,000 owners have chosen to bench him ahead of tonight’s clash.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

          I know that you could probably do Chicha to Kane and then Kompany to someone like Simpson for the right funds but can't fit in both of them without either selling an in form player or taking a hit -8 or over

          The result of the tackle shouldn't matter but it does, it effects the refs decision, simple as that. Mane pasted the keeper, the other 2 was minimal / light contact.

    Re-post lost on an old page.

    I was planning on the October break wildcard going along with the theory of bandwagoning to increase value before tidying up before the deadline. But looking at fixtures could pre GW6 be better? Top up on Spurs if you want, get on Everton for the start of their run of fixtures and maybe double up on Arsenal? The new price changes seem to be making it less of a factor this season and you always have fatigue from the long haulers who may be rested. I plan on playing around with some options tomorrow.

    For this week I think I may just punt on Joselu with Mounie making way.

      I was planning to wildcard after GW5 for the fixture swing as you mentioned.

      But from Everton, who do we get in?

      They look slow going forward and shaky at the back, not to mention they will be doing Thursday night action in the Europa league too. I can't find a worthwhile player from Everton atm - the closest I can get is Pickford.
