Dugout Discussion – Crystal Palace vs Liverpool

Gameweek 32 gets up and running at Selhurst Park this Saturday lunchtime as Crystal Palace entertain Liverpool at 12.30pm.

Having served up a 29-point tally in his previous league outing, Mohamed Salah is again among the key captaincy contenders for Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers.

Up against an Eagles’ defence with two clean sheets in front of their own supporters, the Reds’ winger goes in search of a fifteenth double-figure haul of 2017/18.

Elsewhere, the likes of Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane both have the form to punish those who parted company on Wildcards.

Over the last five, Firmino has three goals and a pair of assists, while Mane has struck twice and supplied a trio of assists.

Christian Benteke has been the hosts’ form player of late, delivering a goal or assist in seven of his last ten league outings. He’s joined up top by the fit-again Wilfried Zaha, who has recovered from a knee complaint to start against the Merseysiders.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Bench boosting next could potentially outscore my bench boost in gw34

      Ryan (HUD)
      Fernandez (wba)
      Lowton (wat)

Could easily be 18 pts there vs 12pts in gw34. Anyone else feeling the same

          Good but reachable attempt.

If Pool work more on getting him to place headers in the corners, he could do well next season. Not there yet though.

Starting to feel that Lingard could be the one to own in DGW.

He has energy to burn and has not started a few games off late.

Could be the one that plays both games in the DGW with curtailed minutes for Lukaku and co. before the cup semi.

People were criticising Lovren earlier for not trying to head the ball away from Lukaku. Just noticed now Henderson did the same against Benteke right before the penalty !!

Lovren is a cb and should be good in those situations vs strikers. Not excusing Henderson but its different

But both cases were outside the box which shouldn't make any difference for any player's basic role which is to try and claim the ball

I'm always a fan of wildcarding as early as possible.* Assuming that your new team is better than your old one (and not just a DGW team with average players), you want to have it for as long as possible surely.

*As early as possible meaning as early as we have info about DGWs of course!

Never trust anything Mourinho says before a game ... or after a game ... or at all... but esp before a game ...

Guess I’ll watch Leicester and pray for Mahrez and Vardy to get pumping

Want to transfer Bailly > Vertonghen NOW out of spite, but I'll do the sensible thing and wait till tomorrow...

(Man United defense > Vertonghen was always going to be my transfer this week, so just gotta take it on the chin.)

I'll be pissed if Morgan gets a cleanie & Bailly comes on for a cameo, though.
