The first of a rapid-fire pair of Double Gameweeks is now finally upon us, and brings with it an opportunity for diligent managers to make up considerable ground upon less-prepared rivals.

The four extra fixtures also offer the opportunity to deploy one of their potentially game-changing chips, with many now stuffing their benches with Double Gameweek assets ahead of a weekend Bench Boost.

With this in mind, this week’s Technical Area is dedicated to identifying the ultimate Gameweek 34 Bench Boost side, as recommended by Fantasy Football Scout’s own Rate My Team (RMT) tool.

In addition, we also sprinkle in some standalone statistical and eye-test observations of recent form for the key assets involved.

          TC kaku should reduce the deficit. I wouldn't do anything rash. I understand the appeal of a big differential and it could pay off but it's a big gamble.

      I like it. No obvious weaknesses. Lukaku is maybe the safest captain pick but Kane is more likely to go nuts and help himself.

    Planning to use bench boost, but have to free up 1m to go Auba --> Lukaku. Which option would you go for?

    D) something else

    Current squad:

    I am not convinced Davies will play both matches. Naughton would be a good option in preparation for DGW37, too.

      I'm just pleased that, having made my transfers and activated the BB, all 3 of my core potential options scored pretty much the same on RMT tool!

      1) Lukaku (C), Vardy, hold Salah, Eriksen/ Son double up and no Vardy - 115 pts
      2) Lukaku, Kane (C), no Spurs mid, Mahrez, weaker def - 116 pts
      3) Kane, Vardy, Sanchez (C), no Salah, no spurs mid - 115 pts

      So at least (if the tool is right), I haven't lost too much not having more of the "big 3". Question is if 115 pts will be enough vs my ML rivals!

          Can get him back in free hit GW35; he plays at a resurgent Newcastle where Benitez has them organized well, most are selling for golden boot Harry or wipe the floor with the minnows Lukaku so little risk.

            I think it’s highly debatable that he’ll ‘easily’ get more points than Kane/Lukaku/Vardy in one game when they all have two.

            And if transferred out for Kane or Lukaku then there’ll be enough money to get him back (as long as the difference isn’t eaten up in a second transfer).

          B or C, probably. I had Bailly myself on GW31 WC, so obviously I'm not sure if he starts both matches now.

          Honestly, I'd lean towards Smalling if Bailly might be rested. Both risks of rest, so just get ne cheaper one?

          Long is worth a punt, it's unlikely that you will need him for more than 1 GW, and as you say the MITB would come in handy.
