Dugout Discussion – West Ham vs Man United

Double Gameweek 37 comes to a close at the London Stadium this evening, as West Ham entertain Manchester United at 7.45pm.

The visitors boast three of the top ten players for transfers in ahead of last Friday’s Fantasy Premier League (FPL) deadline.

Paul Pogba (147,000) was second only to Raheem Sterling in midfield, Chris Smalling (133,000) was the most bought defender, while over 68,000 turned to Marcus Rashford up front due to Romelu Lukaku’s ankle injury.

Unfortunately for Rashford’s owners, he drops to the bench as Jose Mourinho makes eight changes as a result of Friday’s 1-0 loss at Brighton. Pogba and Smalling, along with David De Gea, are the only players to retain their starts.

Drafted in by 15,000+, the fit-again Alexis Sanchez is back on the teamsheet tonight. Similar to Pogba, he had two double-figure hauls in his four appearances prior to Gameweek 37.

This evening’s line-up suggests that Sanchez could be handed a role up front, with Antonio Valencia and Luke Shaw operating as wing-backs.

Meanwhile, De Gea – owned by over 45% – is the Red Devils’ most captained player, with over 61,000 handing him the armband.

For the Hammers, Marko Arnautovic (58,000+) was the main draw ahead of their two matches.

While the Austrian chipped in with an assist in the 2-0 win at Leicester, he was somewhat overshadowed by midfield differentials Joao Mario and Mark Noble. Both grabbed a goal apiece to tally 11 and 10 points respectively so far.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Willian + Pogba-> Arnie + Zaha for a final -4 to round off the season?

Or should I only be making one of those moves for a FT?

Is it realistic that tonight’s game will raise the total average above 70 points? It’s current at 55.

If it doesn’t, I will win my H2H league

I really really want manu to be relegated next season. Sanchez such an awesome player last year with arsenal has become a joke. Lukaku an exciting player with Everton looks he is going to retire now the way he plays. Attacking players like martial and rashford are kept on the bench. Mctominay doesn't do anything, Pogba not even worth 10 million. Lingaard useless, Herrera useless. I think their most exciting player is Fellaini.

Btw, I know it's hard to tell at this point, but who do you reckon is going to be benched, if any, at the weekend?

    A) Lingard
    B) Willian

Who would your England starting XI be for the World Cup?

I think I would go for something like this:

    Pope
    Walker, Smalling, Jones, Young
    Dier, Henderson
    Sterling, Lingard, Rashford
    Kane

What would you suggest? Alli might come in Lingard but his form isn't exactly great. I have no idea who could play on the left side of attack. There doesn't seem to be an automatic CM pick to go with Dier. Young has been very consistent this season but I would go with a fully fit Danny Rose but he has barely played this season so I wouldn't think he could play every 3 days.

Thinking about losing some City assets, anybody else on board with this or are people feeling confident that they'll deliver? City will want to win to reach 100 points and break new records, however one can assume that Southampton will do everything they can to keep the goals at a minimum to note give Swansea any hope. 0-2 or something like that is something both teams will probably be satisfied with.

I know it's anybody's guess really with pep's team selection, but does anyone have any info/quotes on what we might expect for Sunday? Sterling playing feels like a given, but how about Sane? Is Dilva still in Spain? Surely Jesus will play, but how will he do? Will Pep field any youngsters alongside him? Is there anyone who needs just one more appearance to get their medal?

Sorry, didn't mean to play 21 questions here but here we are (no my computer does not have a backspace button)

    Thoughts appreciated.
