World Cup 2018 Predicted Line-ups and Team News

After weeks of research, we’ve predicted the starting line-up for every team’s opening fixture at this summer’s World Cup.

We’ve put these together using information gathered from qualifying matches, international friendlies and team news information from managers.

Hopefully it will help World Cup Fantasy managers pick their teams.

Main difference in this game is that mids are mids so for example Hazard is a 10,5M mid that makes Lukaku a 8,5M forward. Also Paulinho comes at 5,5M a bargain. On the other hand premium defenders like Kimmich cost 7.0

Struggling to chose between Müller and James. Should captaincy options come into it? Muller plays on the same day as Jesus who will almost certainly have the armband, but I don’t really have any captaincy options who play on the last day currently

    Think I'm settled with this.

    Muslera - Uzoho
    Meunier - Godin - Danilo - Dalsgaard - Pavard
    Coutinho - JRod - Cueva - Belhanda - AlDawsari
    Cavani - Lukaku - Werner

1m itb to do Pavard to Ricardo Rodriguez in Round 2.

    Thoughts?

      Looks great.

When are you thinking of bench boosting?

Surely you get more points from auto subs then trying to be clever and manually picking each day...

If a manager substitution or captain change is made, then no automatic substitutions will take place in your team for that Round.

    Kane - Neymar - Kaku.

    Eriksen - Mueller - Cueva.

    Meunier - Mojica - Varela - Hakimi.

    Smeichel.

    Uzoho - Sabali - Colindres.

Your man comes on for 2 minutes and you're screwed though.

Players who are substituted out will score 0 points.

If you do play the subbing game then surely you only do that on the penultimate day of games so you don't lose out...or is my logic flawed

Oh sorry that was a bad call, you can't wait to penultimate day:

After all matches on a single day have finished and before the next Round of matches start

Actually no this doesn't make sense...I really don't understand why anyone would sub out a player at any time except on the penultimate game day of each round

You leave your players playing latest on the bench.

Mine is currently Lukaku, Meunier, JRod & the Nigerian GK. GK comes in if starter doesn't have a CS. Other 3 will come in for blankers.

As much as we like to think every pick will do well, there will be blanks and surprising ones too, strong squad and bench will be valuable.

Any reason not to play max captain in GW1?...plenty of good fixtures to be had and a haul or three in there for sure...

The only reason I can see is setting up to bench boost GW1, wildacrd GW2 - having bit more knowledge as to who is in nailed etc, max captain GW3 - knowing who is on fire.
