Fantasy Premier League Launch day is here and ScoutCast duo Joe and David have produced our first ever summer broadcast to offer their initial thoughts on the game and the prices.

Early doors, they couldn’t stop themselves from asking the big question: ‘Should we have Mohamed Salah in our teams when he costs Β£13.0m?’ You’ll have to listen in to find out their feelings on that.

Elsewhere, the reclassification of key attacking players has altered early strategies while the pair also name their over-priced assets before picking out some potential bargains.

Finally, they stick their necks out by declaring the three premium players likely to make their Gameweek 1 line-ups.

    Loving the prices this year. There looks to be quite a few mid-priced options in midfield. Will jump on the best Arsenal asset after the first couple of games.

          Try doing both and see what happens.

          But bench boost probably should have been used when your team wasn't full of people playing each other (and is also fairly worthless when you have subs)

    Currently on taking in Maguire
    Modric and Pogba in midfielder
    Giezman in attack

    Can change to other defender and Mbappe, but i need to take some risks now.

          Lingard maybe or one of the Russians. Rakitić also played in a more advanced role last game. But I'm not sure about any of them, really. You could try saving one FT for next round since you can get 11 with just 3?

            Dalsgaard is also out, forgot to star him out. So for a full 11 i need 4 transfers. Rakitic has crossed my mind. Lingard a good shout i can get Sterling for the same price of Pogba

        Agreed.

        Pereyra, Hughes and Deulofeu are all 3 interesting prospects, but we need to keep in mind Javi Gracia is not the most attack minded manager. Their defence - Femenia and Foster for example - are more appealing IMO.

    Don’t know about you but having more mid to low priced FWs in FPL such as Zaha and Arnie have really opened the game up more now.

          I take your point totally. But Kun is not someone you will captain this year either with Salah, and KDB outscored Kun by 40 points last year, it’s madness that he is only 10.0 & I will be taking advantage of this error by FPL. Also Kun is one of 7 attackers fighting for 4 slots (Mahre! Sané, Sterling, Jesus, Bilva, Dilva)... KDB is guaranteed starter every week, much less stressful than Kun imo.

          I think of it’s more of a case of KDB should be 11.0 rather than Kun being a bad pick.

            Yes what matters is the points per match. You will always transfer out kun if he doesn't play and he will demand your armband. It's not consistency that you want from captain, it's explosiveness. Salah has both which is rare

    Just thinking, in a Salah team, is Bobby worth the same as Eriksen?

    They’re both 9.5 but it might be better to diversify & get Eriksen if you already have Salah... although liberpool’s Fixtures are nicer at the start... but also Bobby may be rested due to WC duties.... toss of a coin between those two I think

      Don’t fall for “coverage”. Having both is fine if that’s what you want. Fixtures also great for Pool. But if you like Eriksen go for it

      Eriksen's there from the start to finish me (cue: piano music), and Firmino's first LFC cover. Hazard's just within my price range and I'm sticking to that principle this year (he says).

    Deulofeu is so tempting considering that Watford almost always start the season well, but it's true that Javi Gracia is a pretty defensive coach, but I don't think I can resist for 5.5.
