Fantasy managers back Spurs over Man United in Monday Night Football

A large portion of Fantasy managers are backing the key Spurs’ men for their Monday night trip to Manchester United.

Harry Kane (£12.5m) comes into the match as the most popular player and captained by just under 500,000+ managers.

Only Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) and Sergio Aguero (£11.2m) were backed by more in Gameweek 3, and the England captain needs two goal involvements to outshine them both.

Kieran Trippier (£6.0m) is the next most fashionable member of the Spurs squad, 24 percent of Fantasy managers hoping for a repeat of recent free-kicks scored against Croatia at the World Cup and Fulham in Gameweek 2.

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea (£6.0m) remains owned by just over a quarter of managers, despite not yet keeping a clean sheet in 2018/19. Although with Spurs bringing plenty of attacking talent to Old Trafford, this match is unlikely to be the last straw for him.

The Spaniard is one of just two United players with double-figure ownership. The other one is Paul Pogba (£8.1m), currently backed by 18 percent following back-to-back converted penalties.

There will be some interest Christian Eriksen (£9.4m) and Dele Alli (£9.1m) with the Dane still just ahead of his English team-mate’s ownership, inspite of losing some set pieces duties to Trippier. Eriksen sits in 11 percent of squads with Alli in 7.6.

The secondary defenders (in terms of popularity) for each side are Luke Shaw (£5.1m) and Jan Vertonghen (£6.0m). The United man is in 8.7 percent of teams with Vertonghen in 10 percent.

SOMETHING ABOUT JOE AND WILLY BOLY.

I don't know what F F Fix ratings in the dugout section means but:
    100% 85% 83% 92% must be high.
I personally think I am nowhere near that level.

Good insight into Pedro. Chelsea fans think he's tailor made for Sarri system

    https://www.reddit.com/r/chelseafc/comments/9a45it/who_will_take_the_final_spot_in_attack_willian_or/

Definitely Pedro. Understands the system better and is a more intelligent player compared to willian. Talent wise willian
takes the cake but Pedro has played in a similar system in Barca. His experience in such a system has already reaped rewards
in terms of goals. Sarri prefers one of his wingers to dribble and create while the other one makes runs in behind the defense.
At Napoli it was insigne who was creator in chief in attack while callejon made those runs and at Chelsea it will be
hazard and Pedro who'll play those roles. It all adds up

May keep Pedron instead of Walcott instead now.Means doubling up on Chelsea at least until KDB returns.

They won't have the exact same roles, seeing as Mertens/Morata is not a viable comparison, but i take your point. It *could* end up being like that

    4. Yankee Toffee
      • 9 Years

it'll be Pedro over Willian. Pedro is better off the ball which is key for the "weak side" winger. If we expect the Alonso-Kovacic-Hazard combine to dominate ball retention on the left, the right side winger needs to be able to stretch play, draw defenders and make runs when needed.

Which is essentially Pedro's schtick, right from his Barcelona days.

How’s this wildcard looking dead zone?

    •Alisson Hamer
    •Mendy Alonso Robertson AWB Bennett
    •Salah Hazard Walcott Brooks Gunnarsson
    •Aguero Arnautovic Zaha

Considering Pedro instead of Walcott but it’s likely just as placeholder for Richarlison anyhoo.

    1. Francescoli

Liverpool fixtures will stiffen. Really keen on two Liverpool defenders? Otherwise looks good. I think you're safer with Walcott. Pedro and Willian will vie for one position when Hazard is back.

      1. *sigh*
        • 12 Years

I could go Ederson instead but it’s dependent on price rises this week.I like Alisson’s bap potential and his passing percentage in that defence is good.

        1. Francescoli
          • 9 Years
          5 years, 9 months ago

On the back of a strong defensive performance and little attacking threat, I think VVD and Robertson would get baps ahead of Alisson. Can't see value in Alisson. Fixtures and baps are not favourable.

That bunch of sh*t players were PL runners-up a few weeks ago. If the defence is a shambles it's because he's been repeating all summer that he rejects them - they lack confidence and motivation and don't know how he wants them to play. With the universal respect Zizou would command you'd see a different attitude right away, and Fench players like Pogba and Martial would start playing out of their skins. They wouldn't win the league, but they'd finish in the top 4, which won't happen this season under Mou.

They would score nice goals, and in reality that’s what fans want. They don’t mind if you lose 3-2 and actually play good football and give you something to cheer, but negativity off the field followed by negative football on the pitch is nothing but a disaster
