Captains

Aguero early favourite for Gameweek 7 captaincy debate but differentials appeal

Sergio Aguero (£11.4m) is expected to be the favourite for the captain debate in Gameweek 7.

We’ve started our poll to ascertain what the Fantasy Football Scout community are thinking for the next round of matches.

With Chelsea and Liverpool going head-to-head on Saturday afternoon, options such as Mohamed Salah (£12.9m) and Eden Hazard (£11.0m) are unlikely to score well in the upcoming vote.

That may mean that Harry Kane (£12.4m) and Romelu Lukaku (£11.1m) receive more attention than usual.

Both strikers have favourable fixtures, against Huddersfield and West Ham respectively, and have found some form in recent weeks.

Differentials may well be found at Goodison Park with Richarlison (£6.6m) the likeliest to take advantage of Fulham’s defensive frailties.

However, Everton’s back-line has been almost as poor as the Cottagers’ in 2018/19, opening the door for Aleksandar Mitrovic (£7.0m) to get a look in too.

Make sure you vote in the poll and watch our latest video analysing the Gameweek 7 captaincy debate.

    Pickford
    Holebas* - Mendy* - PvA
    Richarlison - Fraser - Mane* - Hazard
    Mitrovic - Aguero - Zaha*

Hamer - David Luiz - Tarkowski - Jorginho*

    1 FT, 2.5 ITB

I'm thinking of Wildcarding after the International Break. But I have some problems which immediately need to be fixed.

    A) Holebas - A tricky fixture vs Arsenal, and also he is just 1 YC away from a 1 game ban.

Could get in Monreal/Bellerin. Even David Luiz could make way for either of them.

    B) Mendy - Out for who knows for how long.

Trippier might be a good shout, if he doesn't get rotated. But Mendy might be back sooner than expected.

    C) Mane - 2 tough fixtures

Could swap to someone like Sterling. Still seems like a far fetched punt.

    D) Jorginho - Meh.

Lucas Moura for him for the next 2/3 could be a good shout, provided he keeps his place.

    E) Zaha - Being deployed on the wings diminishes his chances to get on the points even more.

Vardy/Lacazette could come in for him.

Which of the 5 looks the most appropriate??

Sorry for the long post, but your replies will be of much help!

Alternatively, pick one and ride out the rotations (and have a decent bench). Most Çity mids will outperform most other teams nailed-on options over the course of the season. I'd go Dilva or Sterling (if you can afford him) until KDB is back full time.

I’m asking why you think it’s bad news?
Maybe I’m very biased, but if he is a major doubt for the game tonight, then he is in contention, right? If he is in contention, it doesn’t seem to be a long term injury. I’m not expecting him to play against Brighton, but at least it doesn’t seem like a long term injury IF the tweet is anything to go by.

Simple: you don’t throw players who haven’t trained and are, therefore, unfit into games. Why? Because they are more likely to re-injure. Mendy isn’t training.

I am realy considering dropping Aguero yes. Got 1.6M in bank so could do it without a hit.

Kun will max play 60 mins and will get a B team with him (although that is still extremely good). Focus will be on CL.

    Pickford
    Doherty,AWB,PVA,Robbo
    Mane.Salah.Madd,Fraser
    Kun,Ings
    Stelke, Hadergj,Pedro,King
    FT1 , $2.3
Going ok but Struggling this week with
Chels vs Liv, Bourn vs CPal fixtures

    Any suggestions

    A) Pedro to Richarlison
    B) King to Mitrovic
    C) Save
    D) Hadergj or PVA to Trippier

Leaning towards A but doesn’t solve a lot apart from move to 3-5-2

Your goalie is first thing I'd change.

To be fair, there od very little worse options than Pickford imo. I'd personally consider Patricio, Ederson, Hart, Ryan and Fabiański.

Ryan, not for this week, for the 10 after it.

Yes or no to the following subs for a -4 hit

    Out: Mendy, D.Silva, Wilson

    In: Laporte, Richarlison, Vardy

Bit silly that, sausage. No need to get rid of Dilva. Maybe Laporte and Mitro in?

    Morning all,

Off the back of another decent GW, up in to the top 6.5k now, real nosebleed territory for me!

I've got the following team currently (playing this season without premium strikers at the moment). Would you consider a Free Hit this week considering all of the clashes?

    I have 1 FT and 1.4m ITB.

    Kepa
    Alonso / Robbo / Mendy / AWB / Tomkins
    Salah / Mane / Hazard / Frazer / Cairney
    Mitro / Ings / Wilson

Cheers in advance and have a great day

I should add that a Free Hit team would likely load up on Man City, Arsenal players...

Your team definitely isn’t that great for this GW, but most are in a similar position.
I wouldn’t use (waste) my FT yet, as it is very valuable in blanks weeks.
Most of your XI could still deliver points this week + you have a FT and money ITB

      Free hit is needed later.

Save FH for later in season when there's a GW with only 4 fixtures or so. Will do you no good in long run using it now and no guarantee it will even get you loads of points.

I have 2 FT. Thinking if I should do

    Salah —> Sterling and

    Aguero —> Kane

This would leave me with no liv and I will obviously want to fit back either Mane or Salah in another 2 weeks time. Would you advise using FTs to do back and forth transfers ?

People with wc, do you have a plan when to use it or you are saving it for fixing big mess when needed?

I was hoping to hold out til xmas but having dropped from 129k to 182k the past two GWs I might have to play this bad boy in the intl break

I was hoping to save it for later but my team needs it now so I've pressed the button. You need it when you need it.

Get new keepers and upgrade Quaner and Bennet to Jiminez/Ings and Doherty.
Template, but for a reason imo
