He has more attacking returns that Arnie.

Do you really expect a defender to get a goal or an assist week in week out? He’s averaging an attacking return in 75% of the games he’s played.

It’s about that time, when Alonso goes more than 3-4 games without an attacking return, people get itchy trigger fingers.

Then when he scores/assists again they have to try to get him back in.

He's not so attacking as he was in the first three fixtures anymore. But I wouldn't get rid as Chelsea has some nice fixtures after United.

There are few natural replacements at that price point.
You can't release enough money from 1 player to upgrade any of your mids to salah or sterling if desired
I'm not quite sold on Laca as a captain choice yet, which leaves only Hazard imo

I'd own either Kun or Sterling.
With Laca (and Vardy) i'd opt for Sterling as both come with the value to make a "fairly easy" switch to a premium striker if necessary.

Double Leicester seems a bit much tbh, ID opt for only one.

Maybe switch Vardy+Rich for Jim/Ings+Sterling?

Also think mendy should be part of any wc team, but not sure how you would go about getting him in.

AWB is just a cheap dud going forward. You could Get Someone more exciting at a fairly similar price.

But so far this year, none of Salah, Eriksen and KDB have given enough output to defend their heavy price tags.
And of these, maby only Salah is worth captaining, if he starts to deliver on a regular base.

I just can't see the point in releasing all that money from the strikers to invest it all in a near 13m midfielder who is disappointing and risky in almost every respect

I like the idea though and think if you choose the right midfielders there is no reason currently to need a premium striker

What ever you do you will need to plan to be able to get Kun or Kane if they look like they may have a big ownership and hattie on the way against a weak team ... if there are no other good Captain options that week

I’d prefer Kun to Eriksen & KDB - he’s easily worth the extra 1.5. Downgrading Laporte to a wolves 4.5 pretty much allows that & improves the team

I believe Man City is key. Everyone is going mad for Liverpool but really there is quite a lot of doubts over Liverpool, and their fixtures, at least in the short term (next 3) are not the dream people think. BUR and SOT have conceded twice the number of goals away in the last 3 that HUD and CAR have at home and away. Liverpool is potentially fools gold imo
