The latest international break gives us the opportunity to take stock of the key underlying statistics being posted by teams and players over the first 12 Gameweeks of the season.

In this extra to our usual Scoutcast format, David and Joe sift through a raft of statistics to uncover who have been the most attacking players in terms of both goal threat and creativity.

They also find out who has been over and under performing and delve deep into the team statistics.  Most threatening sides, best defences and those vying for whipping boy status are among issues looked at.

Meanwhile, our Scoutcast duo also find out which defenders are set to produce points at both ends of the pitch and they name the best bonus magnets to consider.

Key talisman, who are integral to their side’s chances of scoring, are also put under the microscope.

Joe and David also reveal how this autumnal stat-attack has affected their future transfer plans.

      $1m difference. Both look good. It's probable that David Silva's playing time will be hindered when KdB comes back from injury in the near future.

    What's all the fuss about Mendy anyway? Just wait until the IB is over, look at the press conferences, see who's available, and pick literally any player, given Mendy's price. No reason to jump into action or take hits.

      Unless it matters if you lose that TV. For some people it could make or break moves. For others it doesn’t matter

        Really? For 0.1 only? I really doubt many people bought at his current price anyway, so there's no net loss.

          Yeh I mean it’s very minor. Tbh though if someone wants to maintain City defensive cover then Laporte seems a no brainer as not playing in internationals and could make the move now

            Yeah that's it - all of the likely replacements (and I've almost exclusively seen Digne and Laporte mentioned) are cheaper unless there are people who somehow don't have Alonso yet, so I don't see the need to do anything other than sit back and make a move nine days from now.

        What do you mean make or break moves? Given his ownership and the mentality here, doubt anyone was brave enough to ship him out in order to fund another move.

          Actually I saw a few on here that were downgrading Mendy to fund a move as they were fed up of his lack of attacking returns and having brought in a point less than Laporte who was cheaper

              Lol perhaps. Would be interested if any did and benefitted as a result (I.e caught a price rise or two and got in early ahead of everyone ditching Mendy now)

    Sane, Delph, Zinchenko, Danilo, Pep has quite some options there but only Zinchenko is a left back. Does that mean Kyle will play more up high or down as a third cb?

    Don’t forget Internationals playing time when considering Mendy replacements. That great article a couple ago is invaluable for that.
    Digne for example has only been used in 1 of the last 4 internationals. Laporte hasn’t been called up.
    So both good options I’d say. Consider playing time during IB when bearing any other choices in mind

    What to do with Mendy

    Already own Robertson, Alonso and Digne. Along with Ederson

    A) Mendy to Walker
    B) Mendy and Mane to TAA and Sterling own Salah
    C) Mendy and Deulofeu to Wan-Bissaka and B Silva
    D) Ederson Mendy Alonso Deulofeu to Hart Dunk Wan-Bissaka and Sterling
    E) Any other suggestions

    Think I’ll probably wait now until IB is over. Logical move for me is Mendy to Doherty but Doherty is injured too. Probably not wise to jump into anything drastic so soon.

      Anyone that thought Barkley was nailed needed their head testing. Same doesn't apply for Martial. As long as he keeps playing well Mourinho will keep picking him.

      Not quite but nearly ... he only had his chance because first choice Lingard and Sanchez were injured ... the minute he stops performing then Lingard, Lukaku & Sanchez will start up top and Martial will be back on the bench with Rashford

      He is a trap for sure 🙂

    With Mendy out until 2021, what Man City defender are you getting for the start of 2020/21 season?
    With Vincent Kompany as manager I think he'll be more defensive orientated than Pep. I think I'll go with recent signing Joe Gomez.
