Kane and Eriksen benched for Spurs trip to Leicester

Harry Kane (£12.5m) owners are in despair after he was named on the bench for tonight’s game against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

Mauricio Pochettio has shuffled his pack ahead of Tottenham’s crunch tie against Barcelona on Tuesday night. Midfield maestro Christian Eriksen (£9.3m) is another who finds himself on the bench.

Son Heung-min (£8.4m) looks set to lead the line in Kane’s absence. The South Korean has been in fine form in recent weeks with two goals and an assist in his last three appearances. It will be no surprise to see him register more attacking returns tonight.

Ben Davies (£5.6m) starts ahead of Danny Rose (£5.8m) while Dele Alli (£8.9m) comes back in to the starting XI having come off the bench against Southampton in Gameweek 15. Jan Vertonghen (£5.9m) also returns having served his suspension.

Harry Maguire (£5.4m) is named amongst the substitutes for Leicester City. Kelechi Iheanacho (£5.9m) leads the line again in the absence of the injured Jamie Vardy (£8.9m).

James Maddison (£6.8m) owners will be hoping he can find the back of the net for the third consecutive Gameweek. He’s likely to be on spot kick duty if the Foxes are to be awarded one.

          had it Xmas GW last year but got back to top 100 by Feb.
          Just stick with what you were doing.
          Everyone is going to get caught with these rotations over the next month or so.
          Very easy next week for City to go crazy and Liverpool have a quiet one against Utd.
          OR may look shaky but in points terms probably not as many as you think to get back up there.

    First solid week in a while. Jumped 60k back into top 100k with 62pts, but Alonso comes in for Martial so 68, plus I have Jiminez, Richarlison and Doherty to play. Oh how’s I’d love a Kane 1pt cameo to put the icing on a decent weeks cake,

          Yeah it would, but my rival was 9 points behing me and I was sure he was captaining Auba, so I played defensively and did the same... Now, it was obviously a bad choice, but the logic was right I guess

            Yes ditto, fixtures suggested Salah would do well to get more than a goal but Auba has just started scoring and vs Huddersfield, so could have been massive. However, the deciding factor for me was how popular a choice he was elsewhere for captain. But I think when people are selling a player like Salah, Hazard etc them Sod’s law says they will do well, plus it’s a bigger differential when they do. So it may make more sense to bet against the run of play in these scenarios. I have only started to realise this after 9 seasons though so may be wrong!
