Martial returns for United as Fraser is benched again

The final match of Gameweek 20 takes place at Old Trafford this afternoon, as Manchester United take on Bournemouth. Kick-off is at 16:30 GMT.

Anthony Martial has recovered from illness to reclaim his place on the left of United’s front three, while Paul Pogba makes his third successive start under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Martial takes the place of Juan Mata, while Solskjaer has made three other alterations to the side that beat Huddersfield Town 3-1 on Boxing Day.

Ashley Young replaces right-back Diego Dalot, Eric Bailly ousts Phil Jones at centre-half and Ander Herrera is in for Fred in midfield.

Having been beaten 5-0 by Spurs in Gameweek 19, Eddie Howe has made three changes to his side and is deploying a wing-back system for the trip to Manchester.

Diego Rico and Jordon Ibe come into the side on the flanks, with Joshua King joining Callum Wilson in attack.

Ryan Fraser is benched for the second time in three Gameweeks, meanwhile.

Jefferson Lerma – who sits on nine yellow cards – and the injured Simon Francis are the other two players dropping out.

Manchester United XI (4-3-3): De Gea; Young, Lindelöf, Bailly, Shaw; Ander Herrera, Matic, Pogba; Lingard, Rashford, Martial.

Bournemouth XI (3-5-2): Begovic; Cook, Ake, Daniels; Ibe, Stanislas, Brooks, Surman, Rico; Wilson, King.

Does anybody ever feel like giving up on this game? I feel like I'm playing snakes and ladders. Had a great week last gameweek jumping up to top 60k and now the same team contrives to get me a pathetic score of 32 which has sent me back down a huge snake and we'll outside the top 100k. Just can't make any head way at all. I did 2 transfers this week and brought in Peryerya and Richarlison who have both been consistent performers whilst ignoring Pogba as I failed to believe that a different manager would suddenly result in him becoming a points machine. Look what happens, Rich and Peyreya both blank and Pogba gets another ridiculous score. I seriously give up.

Not as simple as that. That will just create holes elsewhere which is the problem. I brought in Richarlison as he is a rank killer. However it seems with this game that you avoid one trap but then fall into the other.

What a massive mistake it was getting Martial instead... 2nd time going cheaper has killed me this season after I went for Bennett because he was 0.2m less than Doherty and still stuck with him...

I got Marshall in instead of Pogba last week and went crashing out of the cup. This week did Marshall to Pogba!

Sometimes it's a very fine line between a kneejerk and quickly correcting a mistake but my thinking was Pogba's points potential is at least as good and his minutes are more assured with all fit.
