Which FPL players are on international duty ahead of Double Gameweek 32?

A week of international fixtures gets underway today, with Germany and Wales among the countries in action this evening.

This is the final international break of 2018/19 and falls before the biggest Double Gameweek of the season, so there will be a nervy wait for Fantasy managers as we keep our fingers crossed for an injury-free seven days.

This article gives a club-by-club rundown on which assets will be away from their sides during this period, also detailing the dates in which these players will be competing for their respective countries.

There are several high-profile names missing from this list, of course.

Mohamed Salah (£13.3m) won’t be linking up with Egypt, while Aymeric Laporte (£5.9m) and Sergio Aguero (£11.8m) will not be representing their respective countries either.

Alexandre Lacazette (£9.4m) was omitted from the France national squad, while Gonzalo Higuain (£9.6m), like Aguero, wasn’t selected by Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni.

Marcos Alonso (£6.4m), Cesar Azpilicueta (£6.3m) and Jonny (£4.3m) won’t feature for Spain, meanwhile.

There are a cluster of players whose countries are scheduled to be in action in the early hours of Wednesday March 27 who then face a long-haul flight back from the Americas: Tim Ream (£4.2m), Antonio Valencia (£6.4m), DeAndre Yedlin (£4.5m), Miguel Almiron (£6.0m), Fabian Balbuena (£4.2m), Javier Hernandez (£6.1m) and Raul Jimenez (£6.8m).

It may be, however, that some of those players have been the subject of agreements between club and country to return to the UK before their respective nations’ second fixture over the international break, as has been the case before.

The good news for owners of Argentina and Brazil assets is that those two countries aren’t playing their two international friendlies in South America, although Argentina travel to Morocco on Tuesday.

Sadio Mane (£10.0m) is amongst the popular Fantasy options in action in Africa on Tuesday, while Son Heung-min (£8.6m) will be heading over to Asia for a double-header with South Korea – the second fixture being contested on Tuesday morning (UK time).

Thoughts on this FH team please guys:

    Kepa
    Schlupp, Luiz, Laporte
    Sterling, Stephens, Hazard, Pogba
    Kane, Aguero, Zaha.

There's a few thoughts on this:
1 - no Higuain which could be a risk given great fixtures
2 - Sterling rotation risk - maybe go for D Silva instead?
    3 - Stephens!
4 - Zaha potential injury doubt but away on international duty, so probably ok

Same level of risk between Sterling and Silva so no need to drop sterling because of this imo

Dendoncker seems to have the highest point ceiling at the fodder price range

      1. I would be fine with no Higuain
      2. think Sterling will play both, imo a must have
      3. rather have a decent defender instead
      4. easy swap with Bats if neccesary

        3. I think 4.3(cheapest +0.1) mid is more decent than 3.9(cheapest +0.1) def.

    Free Hit Team

    Foster

    Aguero(c) Kane Rashford

    Norris Hudson-Odi McDonald Peltier

    Good to go? Any changes?

I understand that, but I don’t know why you wouldn’t maximise Chelsea’s fixtures and treble up.

Starting 3 City + 3 Chelsea is essential imo

Ok. Who would you take out of that 11 to get the third Chelsea player?

              Chelsea options prioritised for FH32:
              1. Hazard
              2. Kepa - (cheapest way into defence of City/Chelsea)
              3. Higuain
              =3. Luiz
              5. Azpi

As for who to lose, I would lose Foster and then downgrade Smalling to make £.

Don't think Chelsea defence is necessary. Can see Cardiff putting one past them.

For me it's Haz or Hig and thats it from Chelsea.

Not like most people can afford 3 City, 3 United and then 3 Chelsea starters on top of that.

CHO bench fodder that might contribute if necessary

Thanks for your replies. I guess I could downgrade Kane to Higuain for the 3rd Chelsea player and re set the team but I'm sold on having Kane.

My first draft of FH team. Need to think a little outside the box as I'm around 50 points behind leader in mini leagues. I presume he will be playing it safe.

    Kepa
    Luiz Laporte Lindelöf
    Hazard Delofeu Milivojevic Bilva
    Aguero Kane Lukaku

    Got 0.5 itb.

    Thoughts?

Kepa waste of a keeper spot imo. Not convinced Chelsea defence will keep CS against Cardiff.

I know you have Kun, but not doubling him up with Sterling is just asking for trouble.

one cs out of two games for kepa +4 for two played games and potential save pts meaning around 10pts is pretty reasonable to justify his inclusion imo

Starting to doubt my initial judgement now... I know it's just an indicative tool but tinkering with RMT tool and I think sticking with the masses and going Rash over Lukaku may be the way forward because of what the extra cash enables. What do you reckon:

    A) Lukaku, (Success), Bilva, Mili, Duffy, Schlupp
    B) Rashford, Jimi, Dilva, (Stephens), Smalling, PvA

It's a real tough one.... but at least per the wisdom of the tool, B will net me 10 extra points this week!

    Thoughts?

      Really ??
Eye test suggest Lukaku will rock !
I'm sticking with him unless Injury doubt.

And i personally don't see how to upgrade defense of two Chelsea + Duffy + Schlupp. (I'm not going to get a city defender at any cost & don't trust United Defense )

As an alternative if I do stick with Lukaku I’ve discovered that I could downgrade Mili to Stephens and play Jimi up front

        Could be tasty.

          Jimenez is rotation risk though.
That's the reason why I'm thinking about Batsman.

I’m feeling like Jimi’s points potential from even one match or one plus a cameo is higher than Bats even if he plays most of both...

What's the consensus regarding risk/reward ratio for DGW 32?

Deeney - if he plays, he hauls v Fulham
Higuain - if he plays both, he hauls, if not, he's only a SGW player
Lukaku - huge points if he starts both, if not risked, then he could be a complete blank

    And the list goes on...

At what point do you risk on these players? Only have 1/2 max and then keep the rest of the lineup nailed?

I'm weighing up Lukaku vs Rashford atm ....
Lukaku definitely has better form and ceiling but obviously doubts around fitness
Rash enables a much better team overall...

I had planned to go Lukaku but the team looked so much better within Rash in overal

If Rashford is out, go for Zaha, then you've got even more money to play with.

I think if he’s out I may go Lukaku and Jimi and downgrade defence

                  Feels like higher ceiling

I’m feeling like Jimi’s points potential from even one match or one plus a cameo is higher than Bats even if he plays most of both...

If that's your feeling then go for it.
I personally would favour Zaha against Huddersfield.

Risk/ reward has to do with ownership imo. Can see only players from Cardiff and C.Palace being possible to get 180 mins since the rest teams have something else apart from the league to fight for. But there are certain players who are difficult to miss a start (Kane, Pogba, Aguero are a few examples)

Even if a player doesnt start a game could contribute as a sub. Deeney was benched vs MCI (personally i doubt he ll be benched vs Fulham, the MCI game was the one WAT could afford to lose and there was no reason to start all regular players in an almost certain loss) and yet he assisted a goal. My point is that every player with a DGW has a risk percentage of not starting both games. I d rather have Deeney with a DGW than Salah with that ownership and a SGW though anyday.

Looking for some opinions please. Been messing about with my team and wondering which you see as the best option to fill my free hit 11?

1 (343) – Kepa, Laporte, Dunk, Tomkins, Son, Batshuayi
2 (352) – Ederson, Azpilicueta, David Luiz, Lindelof, Deulofeu, Batshuayi
3 (442) - Kepa, Laporte, David Luiz, Dunk, Tomkins, Son

The certainties in my team are Sterling, Hazard, Pogba, Aguero, Rashford.

Kane because I feel that potentially Son at 3.9 less can do as well or maybe even better and because 12.5 is a lot in a week where you probably aren't going to captain him.

Fair play with the Son comment but I don't really care much about Kane's price and not captaining. I just want the ones who score the most points
