Why Fantasy managers should wait and see on West Ham this season

Fantasy Premier League managers might want to exercise caution over West Ham assets at the start of 2019/20.

The Hammer start with a tough opening weekend fixture against Manchester City, but it is hard to guarantee Fantasy potential even in the more appealing matches that follow.

Looking at last season’s data, there is a possibility that their new-look attack could take some time to gel.

Meanwhile, the Hammers defence was questionable in 2018/19.

We’ve taken a look at all areas of Manuel Pellegrini’s team last season to see where Fantasy manager can find value in 2019/20.

Do we think Zouma now a better pick than KWP to start the season with David Luiz gone? Thoughts? Thanks.

Man City fans - how long do you think Zinchenko has before he becomes a rotation mess? Is Laporte the only sure starter? How about Stones? Or Walker

Let's face it nobody knows?!! Stones i just don't really want full stop, Zinc...anything could happen? Could get a 2/3 weeks or even or could only get 1 if doesn't impress if Mendy back fit and also Cancelo able to play anywhere?!! Walker also at risk from Cancelo, Laporte only sure starter (if fit?). Think i'm staying away from City defence until more becomes clear tbh.

I've had him in for ages but now looking at ways to get him out, the Cancelo signing is one worry too many. Angelino is probably not a threat but Mendy is in in the medium term and if Walker plays well, Cancelo wasn't signed for the bench so could well nick Zinc place in the short term.

I still reckon he'll start on Sat but impossible to say for how long, seems more likely to be a transfer waiting to happen than not really.

Stones could prove to be more reliable in the long term but too risky for GW1 team.

      West Ham (A)
      Spurs (H)
      Bournemouth (A)

These are not 'easy' clean sheets on paper too, which draws me further away from City def to start with.

      1. Pope + TAA + Laporte vs. Ederson + VVD + Wan-Bissaka
      *(Already have Robbo)
      2. Siggy vs Richarlison as Everton cover?

Is it madness to play 5 at the back for the below? Should I go one Liverpool and strengthen mid?

      Pope
VVD, TAA (or Robertson?), digne, ake, KWP (or Zouma?)

      Salah, sterling, Jorginho

      Kane, Wilson

Probably won't get a response in the mayhem but how's my big at the back team looking:

      Pope
      VVD Robertson Laporte Zinchenko
      Salah Sterling Siggy Perez
      King Kean

      McGovern, Dunk Dendonker Greenwood

Dunk comes in with reasonable GW1 if Laporte or Kean miss out, hopefully both don't.

I like that a lot...…if you hold your nerve with Kean for the first few GW's could be sitting pretty!!!

It looks very nice. Kean is appealing to me but probably gonna be a 20 minute job off the bench for first GW.

      Most ridiculous?

      A) Having 0 players in Pool vs Norwich
      B) Having 6 players in Pool vs Norwich

Seeing a lot of love for him currently, so he must have played good?

Worth the money over Martial, Fraser, Siggy etc
