FPL Question Time – Consult our panel ahead of Gameweek 6

The Fantasy Premier League dynamic is set to change somewhat this week with the return of continental competitions.

The Champions League and Europa League group stages will be back on our screens over the next few days, and are likely to affect the top-flight’s best teams going into Gameweek 6.

That’s just one of many talking points to discuss this week though, so we’ve put together another panel of Fantasy managers to answer your questions…

Who’s on the panel this week?

Ted / Rotation’s Alter Ego – Moderator and the site’s recently appointed Assistant Community Manager. Ted finished 633rd in the world last season.

Holly Shand – Founder of Fantasy Football Community, two top 10k finishes in four seasons and regular FPL Show guest.

Who Got the Assist? – Tom and Nick run one of Twitter’s most active Fantasy accounts and run their very own blog, also producing an excellent regular podcast.

FPL Family – Lee and Sam run the popular Fantasy podcast and Twitter account. They were guests on the FPL Show last season.

    I have 2 FT's. Which of these moves appeals more?

    A. KDB + Emerson - Son + Vertonghen/Soyuncu (Already own Sterling)
    B. Greenwood + KDB - Wilson + Cantwell (Save the extra money for later. Will also mean a formation switch to 3-4-3)
    C. KDB + Haller + Emerson - Son + Wilson + Soyuncu for a -4

    Ideally would like to get Auba in, but I can't do that without getting out Sterling.

        4.5 for a Chelsea defender is still great value. I think when Kante is back he looks even more appealing.

        I'm more interested in the fact he's played 90 minutes in the last two rather than that freak goal.

    Callum Wilson next 4 look absolutely superb. Down 0.2 and could be great diff in my ML.

    Rashford > Wilson or hold?

    Worth noting that Rashfords next few look great too I'm just not convinced he's getting the chances despite the penalty inflated XG stats.

      I am tempted to do Haller to Wilson as well. Going under the radar a bit. Go with your gut. I am not too impressed with Rashford so far. Wilson better and cheaper.

    I've got so lost in tinkering I can't see the wood from the trees. Need some advice from you wise people. Current team looks like this:

    2FT 0.5itb
    Heaton
    VVD, Zinch, Digne, AWB
    Salah, Sterling, KDB, Mount
    Pukki, Haller
    (Button) (Lunds, Dendo, Greenwood)

    These are the players I'd like to bring in over the next couple of weeks, but not sure which and how many at once:
    Abraham, Son, TAA, Cantwell

    Players I'm willing to lose/ downgrade:
    VVD, AWB, Mount (if I'm getting Abraham), Digne (if absolutely necessary), and of course happy to drop Dendo and Greenwood
    It looks like to get Son I would have to lose KDB which makes me way too nervous!

    I could do:
    Mount, Greenwood, AWB > Abraham, Cantwell, Rico (-4) and have 0.6itb to upgrade VVD > TAA next week?

    Thoughts appreciated as ever 🙂

      Way too much in D and you’re wasting valuable striker spot. I’d get rid of Digne for Diop and use the funds to upgrade greenwood

          He is gonna start that block of green fixtures for me. Kicking myself I didn’t do it sooner. Don’t see the point in getting a mount or whatever when I can just play him. As long as Pukki thrives so to will Cantwell. It’s a great situation to have available tbh

        VVD and TAA is one too many Liverpool defenders, looking to swtich VVD to a 4.5ish. Burnley looks the best option with the fixtures, but already own Pope and is a double up worth it?
        I already own Soy and Lund also.

          Given the fixtures Burnley look the best option but even I have Pope so wary about the double up.
          Other options are Villa, West Ham, Newcastle def but not sure about any tbh.
