Aubameyang and Lacazette among the substitutes as Arteta rotates once again

A match with limited Fantasy interest rounds off a busy Sunday afternoon of Premier League football.

Arsenal v West Bromwich Albion gets underway at the Emirates at 19:00 BST.

Not one player from either side has a double-digit Fantasy Premier League ownership.

Looking at the top 10,000 as a better gauge of interest among the ‘active’ FPL managers, one name stands out.

Rob Holding‘s (£4.3m) effective ownership – which takes into account captaincy and benchings as well as general popularity – of 17.03% in the top 10k is greater than the rest of the Arsenal and West Brom squads put together.

The budget Arsenal defender has managed to swerve Mikel Arteta’s now-customary rotation after a UEFA Europa League tie and starts tonight.

The Gunners boss has made six changes to his side that started the goalless draw with Villarreal on Thursday.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.3m) is among those to make way, with Kieran Tierney (£5.2m), Hector Bellerin (£5.0m), Thomas Partey (£4.9m), Pablo Mari (£4.4m) and Martin Odegaard (£5.7m) the others to drop out.

All bar the injured Mari of that contingent are on the bench.

Gabriel Martinelli (£4.9m), Willian (£7.5m), Gabriel Magalhaes (£4.9m), Mohamed Elneny (£4.2m), Dani Ceballos (£4.7m) and Calum Chambers (£4.5m) come into the side in their stead.

Alexandre Lacazette (£8.4m) is once again only a substitute, with match-fitness evidently still an issue following his recent return from injury.

Granit Xhaka (£5.2m) and David Luiz (£5.4m) are absent with muscle problems.

As for West Brom, Sam Allardyce makes two changes to the side that drew with Wolverhampton Wanderers last time out.

They’re attacking alterations, too, with Matt Phillips (£5.1m) and Callum Robinson (£5.2m) coming in for Dara O’Shea (£4.2m) and Ainsley Maitland-Niles (£4.6m).

Loanee Maitland-Niles is ineligible to face his parent club.

Albion will be relegated if Arsenal win tonight and even a draw will all but confirm their drop to the Championship, such is the disparity between their goal difference and Burnley’s.

LINE-UPS

Arsenal XI: Leno, Chambers, Holding, Gabriel, Saka, Elneny, Ceballos, Pepe, Smith Rowe, Willian, Martinelli

West Bromwich Albion XI: Johnstone, Furlong, Ajayi, Bartley, Townsend, Phillips, Yokuslu, Gallagher, Robinson, Pereira, Diagne

PREVIOUSLY IN TRIPLE GAMEWEEK 35…

Aubameyang and Lacazette among the substitutes as Arteta rotates once again
.

A goal for Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£7.5m) and an eighth away clean sheet of the season for Everton’s Jekyll-and-Hyde backline saw the Toffees’ Double Gameweek 35 off to a satisfying start.

Only Manchester City have kept more shut-outs and conceded fewer goals than Everton on the road this season, with Carlo Ancelotti’s men conceding at a rate of less than a goal per game on their travels.

Contrast this with their form at Goodison Park, where they have recorded only two clean sheets and almost half as many points.

There was only really one major scare against a below-par West Ham, with Vladimir Coufal (£4.7m) striking the post and Jarrod Bowen (£5.9m) unable to tap home the rebound.

Jesse Lingard (£6.6m) blanked for the third match in a row, with his repeated dropping into a deeper position as much of a sign of frustration as his late booking for dissent was.

Aaron Cresswell (£5.6m) and Yerry Mina (£5.5m) both limped off, with David Moyes confirming that the former merely had a dead leg.

They should do away with baps but would rather both if they are available

Townsend did more BPS wise, Periera was wasteful outside the goal.

Weird one, feel like if they kept bilic they would have stayed up, or if they had allardyce from the start they would have, switching midway set them back too much

If had Big Sam from the start, they probably would have stayed up. But their defenders were the reason they went down, so many errors.

Brom need investment and better players. Their backer has invested very little into the quality of the team to make them competitive in the lower part of the PL.

To be fair, there are better coaches out there. I think he's sold beyond his price & performance tab. Who Brom can get is debateable. I'd like to see Nigel Pearson in the frame.

Pundits always assume a relegated team will come back up straight away.

The Championship is notoriously difficult to get out of and it changes year to year. Albion have the better chance of the 3 that are going down, but they'll surely lose Perreira who they rode in the Championship last time.

That's right. In recent years the parachute payments give the relegated teams an advantage though.

They came straight back up last time they went down and Norwich/Watford done it this season but I do agree with you totally.

They will be one of the favourites to go straight back up, but difference with them and Norwich for example is that their best players apart from Pereira and Johnstone are all loan signings.

They'll be more similar to Bournemouth who sold Wilson, Fraser, Ake, Ramsdale, etc.

At this stage price is not the most important, the FTs are key. Which one do you replace? Lingard?

I rate them in this order:

                Greenwood
                Lingard
                Jota

I've got all three and not sure.

Greenwood having no fixture in 36 is a pain but has the form. The other two will stay one more week but I might move them on depending what happens.

The thing is that they have good fixtures (Greenwood can stay on the bench 36) and will use FT to get rid of assets in a good team with good fixtures.

Fair point and selling any looks risky.

Its one of the reasons why I think ill go Bamford rather than Raphina.
