Andy throws his own selections under the spotlight, explaining his preference for a 3-4-3 and inclusion of Harvey Barnes (£7.0m).

    Currently tinkering with a Salah,Bruno,Kane/Lukaku draft.

    Kane/Lukaku,Toney

    4.0,Brownhill,Ayling,Obafemi

    Would mean playing 2 of White,Ayling or Amarty every week though.
    Of course if it’s Lukaku he’ll be at least 1m cheaper than Kane so a defender upgrade would be possible with him.

      I think Barnes and Robertson are the standouts.
      Jota could be gold but has some rotation risk.
      Buendia a solid pick.
      Raphinia a solid pick but doesn’t have the fixtures.

      Mahrez best pick going forward, likely gonna get the most minutes and then Dias at the back for definite starts and yeah Cancelo probably for highest points ceiling (maybe Stones longer term)

        Not keen on doubling on either Attack. If I was convinced Benrahma was nailed I would consider the double with Antonio but he was nothing like nailed last season even before Lingard joined so not sure why he suddenly would be now

    What about just getting all those 5.5-8m value mids/attackers in your starting team, saving plenty ITB then evaluate after gw1 and put in those premiums who perform for the value picks who don't, doing it vice versa

      nice idea but one week isn't sufficient time to evaluate, and going any longer without premium captain options could get you off to a very bad start

      Look at Kane and son last year for an example. Awful first week, unbelievble second week

        Just a different idea, maybe give them 2 weeks then use FTs. Certainly a different way to go against the crowd. Could pay off!

          Certainly interesting. A better option might be to only have one premium and gamble that one or both of the biggest players in the game will dip enough that they're a flop. That could create a marginal advantage

            Wow that’s bold. Personally wouldn’t start with Chillwell given those fixtures and Martinez doesn’t seem VFM. I get you with the price point, solid Rom plan.

              Obviously not finished but Chillwell fixture proof IMO. The 2.5 mil gives me options GW2. I know it is out of the box.
              Martinez there is a really good argument for 27 bonus points last season with no likelihood of drying up. The team is very subjective.

    Plan is Havertz > Grealish/Gundo for gw2.

    If ings doesn't look like starting, I'll get Toney in and upgrade Veltman to Maguire.
