2 FT and 0.0 ITB, don't know what to do:

    A) Salah -> Foden, save 1 FT and 4.9 ITB
    B) Salah & Joao Pedro -> Foden & Watkins
    C) Salah & Joao Pedro -> Foden & Jackson
    D) Keep Salah, transfer Baldock -> Gusto and save 1 FT

Probably D for me. It depends on whether you want to keep Salah long term. I have Salah and am tempted by Foden, but would sooner lose Rashford or (if I had him) Fernandes.

I don't have Salah, so it's easy for me to say Salah > Diaz.

The issue is what to do with the funds. Haaland aside, all the premium priced forwards/mids are either injured or left the PL.

Chelsea fans, how do you expect to line up against Luton? I want to take a punt on Gusto for Mings but worried he might not start as the line-up is still a work in progress. Do you expect Poch to stick with the 3-4-3 after the arrivals of Caceido and Lavia?

If he moves to a flat back four, could that spell problems for either Gusto or Chilwell? I notice Colwill filled in at left-back against WHU after Chilwell was subbed and the formation changed.

I would avoid Gusto. He's an headache waiting to happen and there is a good chance he doesn't start . He's not been great from what I've seen

        Looked good on paper.
Not so good on the pitch.

Can see Chelsea reverting to a back four quite often, and they have options to play RB.

wondering same thing. I've got James on my bench and not interested in their attack so wondering if it's worth getting Gusto for when James is injured. I have Maddison a doubt so it will depend on Ange presser tomorrow.

    Gabriel - Estupinan - Chilwell

Is it madness to do Pedro + Rashford + Richarlison + Gabriel out for -8?

Just do 1 or 2 transfers, your team isn't that bad so no need to take the hit. Personally I'd just do Gabriel for now and give R9 and Rashford another week. Pedro likely to play with Enciso out.

I'm only playing for mini-league glory anyway, so taking the odd hit doesn't bother me really. I'd rather pay 8 points than sulk over team-sheets all weekend - if Pedro and Gabriel don't start, and Richarlison and Rashford drop stinkers again, I'll be kicking myself.

If it goes the other way, I wouldn't be as bothered because my moves would have been justified, if that makes sense?

Although I do kind of fancy Spurs to batter their next 3 opponents more than City actually, but Rich is struggling & if Maddi is out maybe nothing too excessive this week

        1. x.jim.x
          • 9 Years

Yeah, I'm waiting for Maddison news - if he's out, then Richarlison is definitely gone.

I can see City mauling their next 2 opponents at least, but I can also see them keeping clean-sheets, so maybe best to spread the risk and get Akanji to pair Foden rather than Alvarez.

I might yet get sucked into the Foden vortex myself despite my heavy skepticism. Really wanted Maddison but might take a punt on someone else til he's back & if its just 1-2 GW it might as well be someone like Foden/Sterling who I have no qualms about selling

That's my thinking too - think Foden should be pretty nailed on until Champions League starts at least. Unless Pep gets absolutely off his box on his back surgery meds and puts out some wacky lineups, that is.

My thinking too. But then could Zinny have a better output than Gabriel if he is inverting? I feel if Havertz plays the dynamic up the left with Zinchenko/Martinelli will be far more attacking than with Tomi. However if Zinchenko is inverting then I'm not sure what the likelihood is of Havertz starting! Real headscratcher now that arsenal have options! maybe I'll just stick with Gabriel.....

Its certainly complicated... I wouldn't entirely rule out Kiwior either. I just sold Gabriel - Henry

Even if you're confident Zinc plays GW3, can you be sure he starts after that when Tommy is available?

How so? Who goes out? Partey or Havertz? I very much doubt Havertz is benched. Partey might be benched, and White pushed out wide, and Gabriel in the middle.

I've only just realised how neatly the IB's have carved up the first 12GWs into 3 blocks of 4. Should have paid more attention in planning. Will probably shift the Salah flogging to GW5, but check injuries/transfers beforehand obvs.

Pretty much the same schedule every season with exceptions like World Cup and AFCON

Chilwell (C). Switch Jota & Eze (although may not matter with Maddi in there)

Chilwell much better option than Ødegaard?

Pips Øde on shots in the box, chances created and BCC so far. If it weren't for the pen, would you really go for Øde? Also Palhinha will be back to tighten up Fulham. I just don't think I'd captain an Arsenal player at the moment

Those who haven’t sold Pedro early what are you planning on doing?

I think as long as de zebra confirms injury to ensico I will hold and start to have 2FT for next week

Agreed.. I'm waiting for Ensico update. If hes injured I will start JP. Have you made a change already?

        2FT 0ITB
        Jhonstone Turner
        Saliba Estupinan Chillwell
        Bruno Salah Eze Saka Nakamba
        Haaland Watkins JP

What would you do with thew above? If Enciso is injured then feel best to give JP a start and after Watkins hattrick yesterday he deserves one more game for now. So potentially Bruno to Foden/Mbuemo/Mitoma/Enzo (punt) and then roll the other FT??? Thanks all

With all these rumours hanging in the air, it does seem like Arsenal are trying to sell Gabriel. Apparently one of the oil field clubs had a meeting with Gabriel on Monday.

Romano reported Arsenal have no intention to Gabriel

Could just be a negotiation tactic. Something is up with Gabriel being benched.

Forgot I was on a wildcard and didn't get Saliba in before his price rise.

Not paying attention isn't great for the team...

Not the end of the world. Many are doubling up on CHE defence for the fixtures.
