    Would you bring in

    A) Virgil (nfo)
    B) Senesi (bur)

I'd be tempted by B because of the double coming up. Although he's now on 8 yellows, so might just get 1 game in the double if he gets carded the next 2 games

It's quite funny that this is even a question (especially if it was without context), but I think I would get the doubler in.

Would you hold Trippier for another week or just bin him off now for Senesi? He's been a poor buy but luckily all the other options (Porro, Estupinan etc.) have been similarly awful.

Hard to say without rest of team however things to consider.

      - KDB will likely start against a poor united side
      - Do you have other Spurs assets i.e. richarlsion? do you really want to double up?
      - Spurs have a fixture in 29 so depending on if you are FH or not, he's a good move with that in mind

Guys would you bring in Son or just play the below and save FT to have 2 for the Bournemouth double? Free hitting in 29 but Son vs Palace could be decent returns.

    Dubravka
    Bradley Saliba Gabriel
    Gordon Saka Palmer Foden
    Haaland Watkins Solanke

Areola Porro Hwang Taylor and 6.7 itb

Bit unsure as to why so many are convinced on Son right now, can someone enlighten me? He's played 30 mins and 90 mins since returning and hasn't had a single shot in that time, and he's not playing at CF either. Spurs' xG in the last few games has dropped off a bit too. Palace are now under a new manager as well so I'm not sure it's easy for people to suggest that Spurs should have an easy time this week

I'm not saying he's a bad choice but I'm starting to think people just feel an inclination to spend the money given it looks like Salah may be a no go

On current form he shouldn't be touched with a barge pole, but he does have to potential to haul, usually when you least expect. I'm comfortable not having him, but can see the punt potential.

I've got him. It's not that I'm fully convinced at all, but he's a nice little punt as a relative differential and works very well as a placeholder for Salah over the next 3 weeks.

The flaw in that plan is I'll want Salah in GW30 and if Son hits form I won't want to sell him before LUT... but that's what they call "a nice problem to have."

Fair points. I don't hate the idea of punting on him at all, just I've seen a lot of people here planning on it so I wondered if I was missing something

Not playing CF isn't a turnoff for me; did more than enough at LW before Asian Cup to warrant inclusion from that position. The Palace game could be tight (although it was only Burnley so let's not get too carried away) but the following run is brilliant.

Admittedly the collective performance v Wolves was quite uninspiring but with a couple weeks to regroup I'm happy to back him to come back sharper.

          • 3 Years

I agree (especially in games like v Newcastle), it just felt like some must have thought he'd be up top given the interest, if Palace were expected to be so bad I would have assumed Richarlison makes more sense especially given recent form

Think I'd prefer Salah over Son but it does depend on whether Salah is fit for GW27. Who would you take out anyway to get Son in? All your mids could easily return in GW27.

I've got 4 of the same mids as the OP except I'm stuck with Bowen instead of Foden. Think there's a chance all 4 of his mids could do well this week and not sure that Son would be a huge upgrade this week for the reasons you mentioned above.

What do you think, how many players is "safe" to have for bgw29? There 3 games confirmed and 55% chance for NF vs Luton (if either Luton or NF don't win their cup games vs ManC / Man U).

Not sure it's worth sweating about now - we'll know what is happening in GW29 for sure in two days. It may be many more games than most are expecting.

Blackburn beating Newcastle would be an update, but not unimaginable

Leeds beating Chelsea, Forrest beating Man United, Leicester beating Bournemouth and Brighton beating Wolves are all possible

(Assuming) we only have the 3 fixtures currently confirmed, then I'd say you'd want Toney, Watkins, one of Bowen/Kudus/Paqueta, and two of Son/Maddison/Rich, plus Porro and a Brentford def.

In short, 7 from the 3 fixtures.

I gotta feeling it's not worth using FH for bgw29. Curretly: 2x Spurs, 2x AV. For perhaps 1 with would be enough.

Anyone not had Saka the last few weeks and been absolutely destroyed by it?

Someone in my mini league has managed to create a 60 point gap and I'd say about 40+ of those points was purely because he owned Saka and I didn't

Sold Saka in GW24 for Jota and missed his two 15 point hauls. Corrected that mistake last week and did the reverse move to bring Saka back in. Probably the most in form player in FPL at the moment.
