FFS could do with a deadline rumour mill, where news and rumours are reported with sources (or 'no known source') so that I can come here for 5-10 mins before deadline and make informed decisions. If it's done with Hot Topics, one per rumour, there's opportunity for the community to provide updates and offer their opinions on the legitimacy of each rumour. Ideally there would be a separate tab to list the Rumour Mill Hot Topics, so they don't get muddled in with the rest. This all would save me from spending an age inefficiently sifting through pages of RMTs and tuning into live streams, an impractical experience for a man on the go!

Think it would be better to have FFS representatives curating the rumours, pointing to potential leaks, than the free-for-all we have now. Might even learn something over time. I certainly don't have the time to build a library of sources to rate their legitimacy, but if anyone's going to, I think FFS is the place for it. So much untapped potential in this site, as usual.

This sounds like a sensible suggestion.

However, I've been here as long as the little number next to my name (plus a fair bit of lurking before) and there has been zero change to how these comments operate to make them even remotely more useful.

      1. Deulofail
        • 10 Years
        2 years, 1 month ago

They have tried things other things without changing the underlying comment system, trying encouraging people to sort comments by rating, making Hot Topics and community articles just for RMTs, and other things that haven't worked because they fight against the flow of easy usage. I think my suggestion here doesn't fight against anything besides the resources FFS puts into it (just having someone to collate info and write Hot Topics), and actually makes usage easier and could bring more people to the site too.

Which goalkeepers would you go for if you were wildcarding now?

I want one of the dgw28, someone for bgw29, and then someone likely to have a decent double later.

Do you think Neto and Kaminsky is the right choice? Can play either in 28, Kaminsky in 29, then Neto has another double later I think?

Permastarting Pickford. Actually went for Ortega, not Kelleher, after long consideration, because I want to keep 3 outfield spots available for Liverpool (have Bradley; doing KDB - Salah as soon as fit, and might get Darwin back at some point). Pretty confident I won't need the 3rd City spot because I'll never buy a defender & Haaland/KDB/Foden is impossible with Salah/Son/Saka
