sorry to bore you all with this on the page top
Nice one Gaz. I took a -12 myself and am happy as LEI double CS paid off. As did Vardy.
Not so much Moreno 🙁
You made 5 transfers and bought only two dgw and 2 sgw vs Chelsea? Not sure what the thought process behind that is...
Setting up for the ARS dgw I'd assume.
Right? 🙂
I looked at the DGW candidates, and then looked at the players that I really wanted in my squad for the run in.
And have a gut feeling Arsenal will tear Chels a new one today.
Added bonuses are the DGW and 3 big differentials.
Best way forward to GW37?
Pants Myhill
Terry Bertrand PvA Skrtel Yun
Hazard Silva Sterling Fabregas Boyd
Kun Kane Vardy
GW35: Fabregas > Sanchez
GW36: Kane > Giroud
GW37: Sterling > RamseyReckon both teams will score in the Arsenal-Chelsea game? It's the last thing I need to win my accumulator.
Anything could happen in that game Innsie, but I can see it being a tight game.
That said, if Arsenal score first it could become very open. Should be good.I am an Arsenal fan, but I really think Chelsea will shut it down. But, as an owner of Sánchez, Terry and Ivan, if there's scoring, I hope the defenders go nuts on set pieces but Sánchez outdoes them with a hat trick or whatever you call a four or fiver.
I think so.
Nah... 1-0 victory for someone
Sorry Innsie, but I'm predicting a 1-0 Chelsea win. #ParkTheBus
Could be 0-0 I think
How nailed on is Kolarov? Seems like an impressive display yesterday...
Sorry Innsie
Cheers guys, I've hedged my bets so it's no biggie if one of them fails to score. A 1-0 Chelsea win would be best for my FPL team anyway 🙂
Worth a watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=17&v=tUWUQkdLqm0
Liverpool clean sheet
Leieciester clean sheet
Moreno 🙁 Schlupp 🙁 Kasper+Ndoye puns 🙂Hello
For my draft league side. I may need to get rid of one of these two-RvP or Drogba? Which one should I keep hold of?
RvP
How many pts for WC users?
A casual 53 with 13 still to play. 😉
Thats nice score 😀
Cheers. Went big on DGW, so far so good.
43 with 14 left
Another good score. As expected, gonna be tough task to get better score than WCers 🙂
60 with Hazza captain and 10 DGW in total 😉
15 left to play if I count captain twice
Count again, it's 13 - same as me.
You did same as me originally, counted Haz twice then doubled it again. 🙂Eh, actually I think you're right and I'm wrong.... oops.
Brilliant, saw your score on the cricket teams, nicely done.
Thanks thanks. That Nd'oye punt paid off. Very good score for you as well.
Meanwhile, what happened to the Pakistan tab? Rating was 103% and around 420 points when I saw last night, Now both are down🙂
We had 12 players playing & 3 on the bench.
ENR took a while to fix it.ahhh. Makes sense now. Still winning against UAE I see
We need the win, been a tad unlucky.
Looks like you've got your vital victory against the WIndies, a big lead already.
You stole my spot on livescore card, grrr... I hate you 😉
But great scoring without a hit or WC. 🙂
Hopefully that score looks decent after last game. Need Leicester's players to fail, some -ve pts would be great... 😀
😳 sorry
Well deserved, congrats! 😀
A paltry 37. Schlupp over Morgan 🙁
I dont even have a Leicester defender/goalkeeper :/ Hopefully some red card/own goals for them in next round.
Still 13 players to go for you, should finish with good score.Yeah, ultimately my week looks like coming down to Costa vs Hazard. Diego's gonna grab a brace at Leicester....
How nailed on is Kolarov? Seems like an impressive display yesterday...
he's always impressive going forward and delivering set pieces but Pellegrini rotates him and Clichy pretty much every game when both are fit
Don't fall for it, he is the ultimate pts-tease (and we've all been there)
Haha what he said, although I've never been an owner
Costa(c) to the rescue....
Wow. Ballsy Jins.
Why did you bench a DGWer ?
Great rank btw.Wasn't certain Albrighton would start both and would have had to bench Silva, Kane or Aguero.
Only got Albrighton as he was the cheapest playing 5th mid.
good luck Jin!!! I have him too 😀
Cheers Sinik. You gotta take risks sometimes eh!
I hate to relive the Geoff Shreeves esque moment for you Jins.
But Costa looks almost certainly out for the Arsenal game according to Daily Mail (I know) - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3055119/Chelsea-striker-Diego-Costa-set-miss-Arsenal-clash-hamstring-injury.html
But lot of Chelsea fans I know think the same too.
I'd just keep your expectations low just in case. If he comes in fit, all good for you. Good luck 🙂Yeah, I got him in on the back of Jose's comments of him definitely being back for the Leicester game. Fancy him to score a couple in that. Then it's CPL afterwards before I likely switch to Giroud. If Costa starts today then that's a bonus!
But yeah, it's a huge risk giving him the armband. All my mini leagues are wrapped up so wanted to at least give it a shot at getting to 1st OR, which means risky captains from here on in.Thats just an interpretation from the press conference. I wouldn't read anything into it
That moment when you realize a ManU win and an Arsenal draw or loss will put things right...
Arsenal will, without precedent, finish fourth again, won't they?
I give Wenger credit, its harder than winning the league to massage the wins and losses to attain the 4th place title year in and year out.Which of these three mids for my draft league squad until the end of the season?
A) de Jong
B) Larsson
C) Nasria
Team for Next Week.
Half the Gameweek to go obviously but would you save barring Injuries?
Schmeichel (Pantil)
Terry, Schlupp, Skrtel (Duff, PVA)
Fabregas, Sterling, Hendo, Hazard, (Cambiasso)
Kane, Aguero, Giroud
3.5m, 1 ft.
Then Fabs- Sanchez and upgrade one of the Leicester crew next week.See what happens today but maybe Fabregas to Sanchez this week as you have the cash. Sanchez has bigger potential.
Or Sterling to Sanchez as an alternative.
That's what I'd do too. Save then bring in Sanchez.
Ospina has 6 clean sheets from 12 PL games since coming into the team but Arsenal don't keep so many clean sheets away (5 this season) and are playing a resurgent Hull (a) next week.
Schmeichel has clean sheets in his last two games, gets plenty of save points and is up against a dismal Newcastle (h).
Deciding on my GK won't be so simple. Especially as I'll be tempted to play N'Doye.I'd play Kasper.
Would you play Bertrand + Clyne (sun), or one of them + Bellerin (hull)?
Tough call. Spread the net and play Bellerin probably. Southampton double not looking so great, especially away from St. Mary's.
Cheers mate.
True, but Sunderland have been woeful lately. It's true. And they are playing quite defensively, not going for it like Leicester and QPR. Who knows? I was just thinking in terms of spreading the risk/reward.
Yeah iI definitely get where you are coming from. Maybe I should just play Bertie and Clyne, was just thinking with Debuchy back it's certainly possible Bellerin gets a cameo
Not sure I'd call Hull, "resurgent," after one game. They are still in trouble and more importantly...they are still kak.
They gave Chelsea a very good game a couple of weeks ago. Almost beat them.
They played very well yesterday against an in-form Palace. I think Hull's form is turning and most importantly they are attacking better. "Improving" might be a better word than "resurgent" though. To be fair, they are improving from a pretty low base. And if we're talking form, obviously today's impending result notwithstanding, Arsenal are as good as it gets. No real reason to suggest that Hull will overly trouble them I don't think.
Then again, I am open to being wrong.Well, I don't know. I was at the Chelsea-Hull game earlier in the season and Hull quite impressed me until Huddlestone was sent off. Defensively sound and well organised. The problem was they didn't have a lot of threat in attack.
Recently that looks better, they gave Chelsea a real game at the KC and N'Doye is a European class striker who has given them more up front. I think they are better than some people believe.
The key thing with the relegation-threatened teams is whether they can find another gear. Sunderland and Burnley don't seem to have one and time is running out for QPR. Newcastle don't know what a gear is. But Leicester and Villa are scoring goals now and turning things around and it looks to me as if Hull are beginning to do the same.
The relegation teams that are trying to attack their way out of danger are dangerous beasts at this time of season.
A good win yesterday but they are not a team that makes much appeal from a ff perspective. Good call on N'doye by the way. 😉
"Resurgent" seems a little hasty. One victory does not survival bring 😉
I won't argue. But I think 4 or 5 more points will be enough, especially as they have a better GD than Newcastle (who could conceivably not get another point).
As a Toon fan, our form and general state is pitiful and extremely distressing. Nonetheless, I don't believe we will go down.
Newcastle Fixtures: lei, WBA, qpr, WHU
Hull Fixtures: LIV, ARS, BUR, tot, MUN
I think we can scrape 1 win from those 4 games, and I don't see Hull getting enough points from theirs.Could be but where is your win coming from? I could see a draw against WBA. I can't see anything at Leicester or QPR. May come down to West Ham on the 24th May.
I looked at the run-in 3 games ago, when we had 7 games to play. I saw 1 win, 1 draw and 5 losses. And I pencilled in what you just said. Draw against west brom, and a win against west ham.
I really don't want it to come down to the final day, but I think even if we can get 1 more draw, we will stay up with 36 points this season.Tbh, if we lose all 4 games, we don't deserve to stay up.
Yeah, 36 may be enough. To be honest I think you may even be OK on 35. Sunderland, QPR, Burnley may all end up with less than that. Hull I think will get to 35 or 36 points, the Burnley game (GW36) is the crucial one for them.
I think QPR and Burnley are gone. I think Villa will be alright. I think Sunderland will struggle, and I think Hull will end up on 35.
And I also think that we will somehow manage to avoid the indignity of losing 11 straight games. I don't know where, I don't know how, but surely it can't happen. Right? 🙁Well I wish you luck. I have fond memories of St. James' Park and really like Newcastle as a club (but the Milburn/Macdonald/Shearer version, not the Ashley version).
Indeed, may those days return in the future.
Cheers 🙂
this is how I'll be looking for this coming week, barring any injuries, think I'm going to save a FT..
__________Schmeichel
______Terry - Smalling - Skrtel
Henderson - Ramsey - Sterling - Hazard
_____Costa - Benteke - Aguero
Panti; Albrighton, Morgan, PvA
tempted by Rambo (c) but probably will go KunIt's the week to save. Is Costa fit again? I'd rather have Gru in there.
Got 47 points so far with, hazard (c), Terry and Ivan left
Good score. No HUL, LEI or LIV players?
Your team link says you got 44 with a -16 point hit. With Kasper, Skrtel, Sterling, Henderson and Vardy to go with the above mentioned. Mistaken identity?
Whatcha reckon lads?
A) Save
B) Sterling -> Ramsey/Ozil
Was all set on A but Sterling looked pretty meh yesterday.Definitely A. Sell Sterling the following week before che
Is this just Connor Wickham's time of year? Didn't he just turn up after being useless at the end of last season too? Spring Fever Connor?
A fairweather player...possibly. I'm going with Pants, PVG and O Shea.
Patrick Van Gaal?
Yep....his brother. 😉
tripling on Sunderland defense for a Leicester-Arsenal double game week... cojones of adamantium
going with PVA and one of Wickham/Defoe I thinkWell, Pantz and PVA pick themselves tbh. As I was on wc last week, may as well use the opportunity to get three SUN in.
Yeah he looks a better bet than Defoe tbh
this is the surprise after watching Wickham earlier in the season
Schmeichel
Terry, Schlupp, Skrtel
Fabregas, Sterling, Hendo, Hazard,
Kane, Aguero, Giroud
Subs. Pantil, Cambiasso, Duff, PVA,
3.5m, 1 ft.
Long way to go this week of course.
What looks the best option for now.
1. Save
2. Fabregas- Sanchez (1.6m)
3. Sterling- Sanchez (0.8m)
4. Kane- Benteke (1.8m)Cesc - Sanchez
As you say - there's a long way to go in the week. Fabregas for example hasn't even played once yet. You really can't make that decision just yet.
Option 2 for me as you'll need the cash for Rambo too.
Murray is for out..
Is Giroud the for sure pick up? Given he doesn't get injured tmrwfor sure out*
Yep. If he didn't have a DGW I'd be tempted by Benteke over him.
Kun, Gru and then one from Kane or Benteke would seem the ideal front 3 right now. You need to get Gru in at some point as he has a dgw in 37 and has the fixtures and form to bring him in.
Mignolet
Bertrand, Clyne, Ivanovic
Hazard, Silva, Sterling, Hendo,
Kun, Remy, Kane
Krul | Boyd, Bellerin, PvA
1FT, 2.0ITB
Remy -> Giroud with FT?Yep, good shout. You may as well get Gru in now and get 4 games out of him.
Yep, cheers. Double saints at the back or one saint and Bellerin?
wait and see if Bellerin keeps his place in front of Debuchy. I'm about to pick up Monreal for Clyne, as I already have Ald and Davis, therefore; extra $$ itb.
Sounds good. If he does keep his place what would you do? I'm thinking just start double saints because Sunderland have been poor lately and also Bellerin could potentially come on for a cameo
Southampton have good fixtures. I'll be playing double Sou def until next week at least
I'm not keen on STH defence and I made the decision to remove Davies and omit Clyne/Bert.
Bellerin: the issues with him are twofold:
1. Is he still no 1?
2. I take the view that three ARS attacking players are needed in week 37. For me, that is Rambo, Gru and Sanchez. Bellerin blocks one of these players and even if you want some defensive coverage, gametime is still an issue.Yeah I agree.
Hmm yeah. But if I want to do that (get rid of Bellerin and bring in 3 Arsenal) it would require 5 transfers.
1 to get Giroud, 1 to get rid of Bellerin, 2 to bring in two of Ramsey/Ozil/Sanchez and then an extra one to free up necessary funds. Hmm.Yes, a tricky one. I'd sit back and wait to see if Bellerin keeps his place. Not ideal I know but you will need to make a triple trade at some point.
yeah, pull the trigger after the game tmrw if he doesn't pick up a knock
Yep cheers mate. Double saints at the back or one saint and Bellerin?
Yeah couldn't be more obvious I guess
Yup. Bloody Remy. He'l probably remain my worst transfer in for some time.
It was a tough situation to have to carry him with hope for so long, that was the killer I guess.
He wasn't Nick. He was your unluckiest transfer for some time. Making that move was clear and obvious until he got injured the day before the game.
Although in saying that Costa is near a return, even if he remained fit the DGW was no sure thing as I predicted all those weeks ago.
We will never know. I suspect a fit Remy would start both games this week. After Chelsea beat United the pressure is really off, no need to rush Costa if Remy was fit and in form.
Drogba is dragging himself through games with an ankle problem that just won't go away. Age is catching up with the big man.
Yeah true Ruth. At the time it made sense but didn't work out.
Dead
Post DGW blues. I suspect many did badly
its not over until Wednesday evening
Zone
I gotta do it myself? 😀
when it's this dead
You did -16 hit but only have 4 DGW players?!
100 years since Gallipolli. Anyone watching these ANZAC ceremonies? Very moving.
Ditching Coutinho and Cesc after this gw, as I already have Sterling and Hazard. Also dropping Murray.
A) Rambo, Silva, Giroud
B) Young Sanchez Costa (tricky)
C) Your choice of 3 that add up to 26.8C. Won't add up to your budget but I really think you need to prioritise Sanchez, Gru and Rambo right now.
Kina glad I didnt have a WC I prob would have bought Moreno and Schlupp 😆 Was thinking about it for a hit this week as it was 😯
Wish I had WC. No Leicester defender and N'Doye hurts... 😳
You didnt get him in the end so? too bad
I had Schlup on my radar at one stage but went with Schmeichel as I already had the big three of Terry, Ivan and Skrytel. Needed two SUN defs as well so that ruled out a LEI defender.
Skyrtel was always ahead of Moreno tbh. Always does well in dgws. The guy in third overall has big balls for cap'n'n'g him.I have SKrtel alright but def would have brought in Moren if I could. magybe on a WC I would have gone 2 liverpool mids alright so theres that haha
Not looking good for BUR and QPR at the bottom. Who will join them?
Hull.
They play Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs and United in 4 of their last 5 matches. Not even N'Doye can save them.
Agreed. Only the BUR game looks a win.
Sunderland
Sunderland
Sunderland, hopefully. Very badly mismanaged club and not much use for fpl either.
in fpl they have pants!
Interesting replies. No one has mentioned LEI.
Who is the best midfielder to own for the last 3/4 weeks that does *not* play for Chelsea, Liverpool or Arsenal?
Mata
this or young if you are strapped for cash
Mata is nailed now... okay... was quite wayward on my attention span midseason
Cheers rival manager man
Charlie Adam 😉
yesterday... yeah... I miss seeing him play in orange
I'll offer up Cambo as the cheap 5th mid as an enabler and Silva with his superior fixtures.
Anyway to check what rank you would have with X points.
Want to see where i would be without my -52 point hit this weeki guess you could start turning pages
17,625
Wes Morgan - captain, hero, legend. 20 points in two games for the princely sum of 4.4m. What a bargain! But why couldn't they have started playing like this earlier in the season?
Because they didnt wanted to finish in top 4 😛
I wanted Schlupp couple of weeks ago but was 0.1 away from getting him so got Morgan 😎
All skill is this ff 😛
My Ryan Taylor punt, not my finest hour oh well
stick with it for the last four... things could turn... it's newcastle, they have a split personality disorder
9 years, 1 month ago
Being far down the rankings I took a big gamble this GW with a -16pts hit. That's 5 transfers.
Haidara Cazorla Silva Mane Agüero → Skrtel Ramsey Mata Henderson Giroud
This is how it's gone so far:
NEW TEAM
9 Skrtel
3 Henderson
Ramsey, Mata, Giroud, Skrtel and Henderson to play
SUM -16 + 9 = -7
OLD TEAM
1 Wollscheid (instead of Haidara)
2 Mane
1 Silva
6 Agüero
Cazorla to play
SUM 10
So I need the 5 players left to play to get 17 more points than Cazorla for this to be repaid immediately.
Looking far better than I initially feared.
