Jose Mourinho is set to be without the injured Paul Pogba when Manchester United face Everton. Sadio Mane is suspended for Liverpool’s home meeting with Burnley, while Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton is set for a long spell on the sidelines due to a shoulder injury.
Paul Pogba suffered a hamstring injury in Manchester United’s 3-0 win over FC Basel, and will miss the visit of Everton to Old Trafford on Sunday. The France international is set to be sidelined for at least a month, with Marouane Fellaini pushing for a start in his absence after scoring in the midweek win over Basel. Mourinho’s press conference later this afternoon will off the full prognosis.
Liverpool will be without the suspended Sadio Mane for the home encounter against Burnley. Jurgen Klopp could turn to Philippe Coutinho, on the left of the front three, with the Senegal international set to miss the next two Gameweeks.
Tom Heaton will be missing at Anfield. He has undergone surgery on the dislocated shoulder he suffered last Sunday and is set to be ruled out for a couple of months. Nick Pope will take over in goal for the trip to Anfield.
Ryan Fraser is expected to recover from an ankle injury to be fit for tonight’s home clash against Brighton & Hove Albion.
Meanwhile, Bruno (back problem) has been given the all clear and is fit for tonight’s encounter.
Mauricio Pellegrino will decide today whether Virgil van Dijk will be involved in Southampton’s trip to Crystal Palace after the defender played 90 minutes for the U23s on Monday. We await news from Roy Hodgson and the Eagles camp later today.
Steve Mounie is a doubt for Huddersfield Town’s home meeting with Leicester City due to a knock, but is expected to return to training today.
As for the Foxes, they have major doubts over both Matty James (hamstring) and Christian Fuchs (eye problem), but Craig Shakespeare has revealed that Kelechi Iheanacho and Vicente Iborra are available.
Geoff Cameron will miss the trip to Newcastle after suffering a hamstring injury, while Ryan Shawcross remains doubtful due to a back problem.
Marco Silva will be without Younes Kaboul (leg), Sebastian Prodl (hamstring) and Craig Cathcart (knee) for the home meeting with Manchester City, but both Roberto Pereyra and Kiko Femenia are available.
Oliver Burke (hamstring), Nacer Chadli (knock) and James McClean (illness) are doubts for West Bromwich Albion’s home encounter with West Ham United. Gareth McAuley was handed a run-out for the reserves earlier this week but Pulis conceded he will “have to wait and see” whether the Irishman is fit enough to face the Hammers.
Marko Arnautovic is available to take on the Baggies after completing his three-match ban, but Mark Noble (knee) has been ruled out.
Finally, Wilfried Bony is set to remain on the bench for Swansea City’s trip to Wembley as he continues to build up his match fitness.
