Premier League fixtures announced for 2018/19

The Premier League fixture list for 2018/19 was released today at 9am, giving Fantasy managers an early idea of which teams to target in the opening few Gameweeks.

Manchester City’s initial fixtures particularly stand out: the reigning champions begin with an away trip to Arsenal before they encounter all six of the sides promoted from the Championship over the last two seasons.

Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea only meet one of their fellow “big six” clubs in their opening half-dozen fixtures, meanwhile.

Newly promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers (EVE, lei, MCI, whu, BUR, mun) and Fulham (CPL, tot, BUR, bri, mci, WAT) have mixed starts, while Cardiff City have a decent trio of matches (bou, NEW, hud) to begin with before their fixtures toughen considerably: the Bluebirds then face six of last season’s top seven in their subsequent seven matches.

Wolves and Cardiff also have tricky-looking final-day encounters away at Liverpool and Manchester United respectively.

Southampton and Everton assets might be among those to consider in the opening months of the season: they are the only two clubs not to play any of last season’s top six sides in the first five Gameweeks.

    My team is set, but I still have some concerns.

    Got Pavard and Varela
    (Akanji, Mojica and Dalsgaard could be contenders for a spot)

    Got Belhanda
    (Meza could be a contender for a spot)

    I could go Meza, but with Pavard and Varela already with some doubts, I felt it would be too risky.

    Would you guys change any of those in defense or midfield? and why?

    Lewandowski or Cavani?

    Can't decide this. Lewandowski is the talisman for his team and on pens whereas Cavani may share points with Suarez but arguably has an easier fixture.

    Hi

    McD FF, does anyone know if the formation can be manually changed after each game day?

    I.E. have a 3-4-3 to incorporate the 11 players that play in the first set of games. Has the matches progress, i may wish to change to 5-3-2 so that i can drop poor-scoring players to include those yet to play.
