How FFScout users are preparing for Double Gameweek 32

Fantasy Football Scout users have submitted an excellent set of polls to help our preparation for Double Gameweek 32.

The questions range from chip strategy to how much we should trust Manchester City and Chelsea with their fixtures.

Not surprisingly, the most requested poll centred around which of the chips is best to play in this expanded round of fixtures.

Forever in Our Shadow, Trippier Hazard, Sebes Gusztav, Nimith Enzo, Ohlsay, Nat Kane Cole and PEP_TALK all wanted to know about this one.

Jimmy Hendrix and de quiney were both keen to challenge the thinking on Free Hitting in Double Gameweek 32, suggesting Blank Gameweek 33 as an alternative option.

We had a poll from Studsy25 who wanted to know the best way of preparing for Double Gameweek 32 for those without the Free Hit or Wildcard chips.

Another hugely popular question concerned the best way to capitalise on Manchester City’s two matches, against Fulham (away) and Cardiff (home).

DMil, BBC_TF, Toblerone52, Fossit, Karsa, LosBlancos, PEP_TALK and Masteryeoda all submitted some great polls on this subject, so we combined them into one.

Given their unpredictable nature in recent times, Scout users want to know what the consensus is on Chelsea, especially their defence.

This poll came in from Beercalona, Tomthewise1, Podorsky, The Beer Baron and Dusan Citizen.

Another popular poll concerns to what extent we even trust the Double Gameweek itself.

Forever in our Shadow, BKrisztian, Leakyman and Pamino all wanted to know how many single Gameweek players would be present in our squads for Double Gameweek 32.

BenjoBD takes that question one step further to identify how many Liverpool players will be present in our Double Gameweek 32 squads.

Of those who have two matches, it does look difficult to cram all of the premium heavy hitters in.

For that reason, Saint & Reevesy, AdAdityan and FFSBullets want to know which of those we are most likely to leave out.

Finally, Diverpool wants to know to what extent Scout users are worried about rotation ahead of the FA Cup semi-finals.

Manchester City, Brighton, Watford and Wolves will be participating in the competition’s last four stages several days after their midweek Double Gameweek 32.

I don't even think it's close. B.Silva doesn't get in the points enough and D.Silva is a rotation risk. I expect B.Silva has similar exp points to Son and better than most other mid options. However, it won't be by much.

Defensive options suck this week on the whole. Only City and Chelsea are really good with Utd kinda average. So the exp points diff from a City defensive option compared to another option is going to be more than the difference between B.Silva and any of the mid options.

I agree with you on the lack of defensive options, but City are hardly watertight at the back (6 clean sheets in the last 12). The two city defensive options also have low ceilings, Ederson has scored more than 6 five times this season and Laporte just twice. And although there are more options this week in midfield, beyond the template 3 none are outstanding or even very promising, except Dilva, he's well-rested, plays central attacking midfield and even if he does only start 1 ( which I don't think will happen), only needs 20 minutes to get something, especially against weaker opposition and going for the title.

Your point is valid apart from the 'not even close' part. Even the average defs (Palace/utd) this week all have one good fixture and have more attacking threat than Laporte if we're talking about e.g. Schlupp/Young. It's not unlikely that DDG Luiz Azpi Schlupp outscores a backline with either of the city lads in there. But is it likely that Son (the next best alternative in midfield after Dilva) outscores Dilva considering Spurs' form and fixtures? Not very methinks.

Any advice on my current FH team? A couple of punts in there to keep it interesting...

    Ederson
    Young Luiz Duffy
    Pogba Hazard Sterling Townsend
    Aguero Lukaku Deeney

    Fodder Fodder Fodder Fodder

Relying on Lukaku's fitness - if not looking good then probably switch to Rash/Higuain and upgrade Townsend.

I only have Bench Boost and Triple Captain left. My current thoughts are to play BB this week and play TC when it feels like the right time. I need to make up some ground in my mini league; should I be looking to employ a different strategy? For example is Lukaku TC this week a good punt? I don’t think my rival will have Rom in his FH team.

    1. McEwan
      • 14 Years
      5 years, 1 month ago

No good way to answer this really. How much points you looking to make up? Depends on your team, have you a solid bench this week? Could you build a better one in the gws to come?
TC Lukaku is boom or bust. Your rank will plumit if the latter, if rank doesn’t matter, why not?

I’m 70 points behind so need to look at something a bit different. Although if he doesn’t have Lukaku at all I could just captain him and that could be a nice differential - he’s on FH though so will score well. Is there any other good TC punts further down the line?

        1. McEwan
          • 14 Years
          5 years, 1 month ago

Ok. 70 points is an ask but don’t think it requires anything drastic at this stage. A lot of good gws to make up chunks. Lukaku would be a differential enough without banging the armband on him. Would sooner get Kane for a roll of the dice captain.

You could make up the difference without the added gamble with your captain. Ultimately you want to captain to be the best option and your other picks to do the damage

If you only have BB and TC left and your rival has FH (and assume WC?) and you're 70 points behind then there's no way back.

Ah OK. Well anyway, I'd probably not go differential yet anyway. 40 points isn't too much - I caught up 100 points in the space of 5 weeks (and 65 in just one week) despite having a near identical team at one point 6 weeks ago. I never went too differential either- Aguero for DGW (TC) and then had Sterling C in 30 when he didn't own.

here is my current starting line up (doublers in Caps), I have one free transfer to use and all chips available.
I take it use triple captain chip and maybe a 4 point (to give me 9 doublers) is the best thing to do ?

0.1 short of getting Deeney and Silva in to my team. Options to do both would require downgrading Kepa or Luiz.

Thinking Smalling for Luiz frees up the 0.1 needed. Alternative appears Ryan orvsimioar which doesn’t inspire.

(rest of my team is pretty much FH template so don’t want to upset the RMT police!!)

Can maybe blame Wenger for things but that wasn’t one of them. He has become a decent player, but that’s taken him time to mature and develop. And from what he showed at Arsenal, and on loan at W.B, was nowhere near ready for Arsenal. For every Gnabry, there are more Ryo Miyatchi’s

Gnabry should have been given more chances in that Arsenal team, but Wenger decided the likes of Theo are better. It did not work at WB because his manager was Tony Pulis, talented players dont do well there.
