As the curtain sets on another exciting season of domestic league action, we are spoiled here in England by the prospect of guaranteed success in both the Europa League and the Champions League and possibly even international glory in the Nations League.
As if that wasn’t enough (and, for many of us, it won’t be), Fantasy Football Scout is delighted to confirm that the third instalment of its Charity Cup will take place on Sunday 28th July 2019, provisionally during the afternoon at Market Road Football Pitches in Islington, London.
The first two competitions proved extremely popular back in February and November 2018, with around 80 players across nine different teams competing to lift the illustrious FFS Charity Cup and, more importantly, raising around £2,000 for the Melanoma Research Foundation and for Campaign Against Living Miserably.
We’ll be raising money for the Stroke Association this year and donations can be made by clicking here.
For those who aren’t aware, this is real-life football with players of all ages, fitness and abilities very welcome. As with previous tournaments, we’ll be organising players into squads, so you don’t need to round up a team yourself, although feel free to invite guest players to boost the numbers.
The precise format (including squad sizes) will depend on numbers but you can rest assured that everyone will get decent game-time before we head to a local pub to talk everyone through our best goals (or, in my case, penalty misses).
All you need to do is email peter.kouwenberg76@gmail.com as soon as possible to confirm your interest and provide your contact details, at which point you’ll be added to the relevant WhatsApp group, unless you warn me in your email that you would prefer to be kept informed by email or text only instead (outside the group).
