Departures could hurt Crystal Palace’s FPL assets this season

An examination of last season’s underlying statistics suggests that the new campaign could prove tough for Crystal Palace.

The Eagles have already lost Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£5.5m) to Manchester United and other clubs continue to sniff around important attacking asset Wilfried Zaha (£7.0m).

Whether they would be able to cope without the pair is certainly a key question that Fantasy managers should be considering this summer.

As we resume our Numbers Game series, we take a look at the defensive and offensive numbers for Roy Hodgson’s players both as a team and individually to assess their credentials as Fantasy assets in 2019/20.

        It will be interesting to see how he does.

        My opinion is he's much more all rounded than Lukaku and can offer the team so much more. The key here is they are removing Lukaku and potentially receiving a much better all round player.

      I've had Martial from GW1 & Rashford from GW3 (Laca GW1&2) in my draft for ages now. If (and that remains to be seen) OGS can have a season more inline with how Utd started under him rather than how they ended last season under him then the two of them are going to be criminally under priced IMO. If after GW4 it doesn't seem to be panning out that way then the traditional GW5 wildcard is there as backup.

      Reasonably similar but TAA will probably miss a few games again.
      I expect TAA will have a better PPG of about 1.5.

          I always go for the higher PPG as I make sure I have a decent bench so if it was a choice I would go for TAA.

      I have four drafts that I can't pick between just Salah, just Sterling, Salah & Sterling, Sterling and Kane.

      I like the captaincy that Sterling and Kane give and I also like having 3 Liverpool defenders, it's just difficult to imagine not owning Salah Vs NOR.

    I know everyone says this, but (almost) my final decision comes down to the following - which combo?

    A. Sterling, Coleman, and Nketiah
    (Notes: 3-5-1, Greenwood and Lundstram also on bench).

    B. Kane, Van Dijk and Dendoncker
    (Notes: 4-4-2, already have Robertson).

    I also have KDB in both variations. I'm leaning towards B) right now because even though I want Sterling, the 1m saved with Kane makes a big difference on the other two players in the formation. Thoughts?

            Sterling is my most nailed on player; add Ederson, and which is the ideal 3rd City player to include. Similarly, will spending an extra million on Jiminez make sense vs Jota. We won't know until the season starts, but wanted to test my gut feel.
