Perez, Bernardo and Deulofeu among the benched FPL assets in Gameweek 4

Six Premier League matches kick off at 15:00 BST today, with Manchester City v Brighton and Hove Albion among the games taking place this afternoon.

A number of key Fantasy Premier League assets have dropped to the bench, one of whom is Bernardo Silva: the Portugal international is replaced on the right flank by Riyad Mahrez for the second time this season.

Rodri ousts Ilkay Gundogan from central midfield in Pep Guardiola’s only other change.

Raheem Sterling, Sergio Aguero, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Kevin De Bruyne all start.

Graham Potter has had a bit of a reshuffle, with Solly March joining the front three and Bernardo coming in at left wing-back.

Adam Webster replaces Shane Duffy at centre-half, while there is another start for Leandro Trossard.

Fikayo Tomori makes his first start for Chelsea in place of Andreas Christensen, who drops to the bench.

That is Frank Lampard’s only change, with opposite number Chris Wilder also making only one alteration: Oli McBurnie in for David McGoldrick.

Ayoze Perez has paid the price for a sluggish start to the season as he drops to the bench for Leicester’s match with Bournemouth.

Ben Chilwell, Wilfred Ndidi, Harvey Barnes and Marc Albrighton are recalled as Christian Fuchs, Hamza Choudhury and Dennis Praet also make way.

Harry Wilson in for Charlie Daniels is Eddie Howe’s only change.

Javi Gracia has made three changes from the West Ham defeat and appears to be going with a wing-back system: Jose Holebas, the injured Etienne Capoue and Gerard Deulofeu make way, with Christian Kabasele, Daryl Janmaat and Roberto Pereyra taking their places.

Amid all the injury talk at Newcastle, there are only two changes: Christian Atsu and Jetro Willems in for the sidelined Allan Saint-Maximin and Matt Ritchie.

West Ham have named an unchanged side from their win against Watford, while Daniel Farke has made just one alteration from Gameweek 3: Christoph Zimmermann replacing the injured Grant Hanley at centre-back.

Dean Smith and Roy Hodgson have named unchanged teams from Gameweek 3 as Crystal Palace take on Aston Villa at Selhurst Park.

Chelsea XI: Kepa, Azpilicueta, Zouma, Tomori, Emerson, Jorginho, Kovacic, Pulisic, Barkley, Mount, Abraham.

Sheffield Utd XI: Henderson, Basham, Egan, O’Connell, Baldock, Freeman, Norwood, Lundstram, Stevens, McBurnie, Robinson.

Crystal Palace XI: Guaita, Ward, Kelly, Cahill, van Aanholt, Milivojevic, Kouyaté, McArthur, Schlupp, Zaha, Ayew.

Aston Villa XI: Heaton, Guilbert, Engels, Mings, Taylor, McGinn, Douglas Luiz, Grealish, Jota, Wesley, Trezeguet.

Leicester City XI: Schmeichel, Ricardo Pereira, Evans, Söyüncü, Chilwell, Ndidi, Albrighton, Tielemans, Maddison, Barnes, Vardy.

Bournemouth XI: Ramsdale, Mepham, Cook, Ake, Smith, H. Wilson, Billing, Lerma, Fraser, King, C. Wilson.

Manchester City XI: Ederson, Walker, Otamendi, Laporte, Zinchenko, Rodrigo, De Bruyne, D Silva, Sterling, Mahrez, Aguero.

Must be demoralising being a PL standard footballer and still being so outclassed.

I thought there’d be more goals in it than City 5-0 Brighton.

      Slow start so far?

        yea I did.
KDB never blanks playing in this position but he's not the typical player for a haul. Sterling potentially is - but he can def. blank.

Not sure why Bernardo has fallen out of favour with Pep this season. He was the second best player in the prem last season! Also why is Pep playing right wing-back for City? 😎

Did you know he had the third most shots in the city team last year!? So you could almost say that volume of shots wasn’t an accurate predictor of FPL points in that case??

Whilst KDB does look an absolutely superb FPL asset, and many non owners will be making moves to accommodate him... he is one more G/A in this game away from inspiring full blown panic buying

Simplistically yes, but simplistic statements don’t always capture the beautiful and potentially significant nuance of a particular situation

This particular situation being a legendarily prolific player, with an arguably erroneous price tag, pulling the strings in arguably the greatest attack the world has ever seen

But yeah, players do well, people buy them, absolutely no arguments there

(Unless they’re injured, but we’ll not nit pick 😉 )
