Recapping the best Man City players ahead of FPL restart

Manchester City players are the talk of the Fantasy Premier League community ahead of Double Gameweek 30+, with good reason.

They face Arsenal and Burnley in the opening round of Project Restart matches.

We are currently recapping every team in the Premier League as FPL prepares to resume later this month, using data from the period just before March’s coronavirus suspension.

While we appreciate that much has changed since then, it still serves to know who went into lockdown in the best form.

We continue that series with a full examination of the Manchester City squad, using Gameweeks 23 and 29 as our selected period as they missed out on Gameweek 28 due to the League Cup final.

    My BB team for GW30+ (12 DGW players and 3 SGW players)

    Problem is I am 2.6 over budget. what would you do to sort it out?

        Problem is I have value tied up in Jimmy, Lund and Salah to bring back on a WC in GW31+ but don't have value in Mane and Jota and can get them back easily.

      It’s a great line up. I would Change Lund for a cheaper dead cert sheff Utd starter. Swap Jimenez for jota and maybe downgrade Laporte and Salah. You still may be over though

    Struggling to decide on strategy for the restart. WC gone, so I’ve got the choice of BB now or FH now. Current side is:

        It is if I do Aguero and McGinn over Sterling and Samatta? But I think Sterling has a better chance to play 150' than Aguero. Plus, remember Sterling coming out of the gate had 5 goals in 3 games. He has been super unlucky, is younger and more fit than Aguero, so I like the punt. I also think Samatta will play many more guaranteed minutes than McGinn.

        But I cant get Jimenez out, bought at 7.1 so now i can only sell for 7.5....

        Main reason for the B option is the Mount punt instead of Fleck and of course Hendo vs Reina.

        What I don’t like is Saiss over Doherty!

          With both Kante and Jorginho missing, Mount is likely to play in a deeper position alongside Kovacic so I wouldn't be too eager to get him.

              I think Barnes is a good option, he could be a good differential if he keeps us his form. His underlying stats in the last 10 GWs or so before the break were great.

              Re. Mount's positioning it's worth checking out any news on Chelsea before making a final decision. The above is just my assumption but RLC or Gilmour could also be used in central midfield allowing Mount to play further forward. Hopefully we'll get a better idea by next week.

        I've got KDB as vice captain at the moment, but I just can't get my head around the idea of not captaining Aguero when he has two games against Arsenal and Burnley, he could score a couple in each game. However, KDB is probably more likely to have starts and extended appearances in both games, so it's a tough call for sure.

        Yeah FH seems most likely for me too as my teams in pretty strong for after this week I think with 15 strong players for a bench boost further down the line, just unsure whether or not to get a balance of double game week and single game weeks players which I can have for the long term to use BB this week, too much thinking going on!! My head hurts!! Haha

      Yeah, I think it will. Can’t rule anything out though, and it wouldn’t surprise me if there’s another delay/stoppage.

      If LPL have their title, and at least 2 are definitely relegated, I can’t see it returning if there’s another break
