I wouldn't but Bego > Foster, Sterling > Sanchez (c) isn't the craziest idea for 4 points. Depends how confident you are with Aguero or whoever you plan on captaining instead.
Imo clyne in
Siggy out ....adm→hazard worth a hit imo
Is Hangeland nailed on for Palace or is Wardinho the best Palace defensive option these days?
Ward's the best. Dann and Delaney will be back from their injuries/suspensions next week
Repost from bottom of last page - any help guys?
Forster / (McCarthy)
Clyne / Baines / N. Taylor / (Wisdom) / (Duff)
Sterling / Di Maria / Fabregas / Siggy / (Boyd)
Pelle / Welbeck / Kun
1 FT, 0.9 ITBNaylor -> Chambers?
Night all. Thanks again for the advice.
Evening, mate.
Night mate
Kind of got lost in the price changes...
Thoughts on this lot?
Heaton Gilks
Baines Clyne Bertrand Naylor Moore
AdM Fabregas Sterling Siggy Boyd
Aguero Welbeck Berahino
4.1m ITB & 1 FT
Amidst all the flair picks being bandied about this week I'm contemplating a very boring transfer. Can't afford Siggy -> Sanchez?
Don't want to.
Want to keep that money aside to upgrade Welbeck next week.
To who? Costa?
Was planning on Rooney. But Costa and Falcao both options as well.
Hmm. In which case a keeper trade might be a good option. At this stage Falcao is far from worth it but Rooney might be alright.
Rooney's really who I'm after. Will be a differential for once.
Thinking Gilks>Foster to rotate with Heaton. Very solid rotation.Yeah probably the way to go, especially as Foster gets the odd injury too.
Cheers, Ryan.
Intriguing. Why?
Siggy to Sanchez
Goalkeeper transfer? Everywhere else looks fine as long as you're not jumping on to the Hazard/Sanchez bandwagons....
That's what I'm thinking. Gilks>Foster to rotate with Heaton. Hazard the only transfer stopping me.
would you be taking a hit for haz?
Nope can afford any midfielder for any one of AdM, Haz, Sterling or Siggy.
Well I'm a fan of hazard, can't afford the membership so I'm just going off what I see in the games but I really like that pick. I've had him all season, putting the armband on him this weekend and tbh it will take a lot to get him out of my squad
Don't get me wrong. I love him as a player. My issue is that he's starting to look like a much better player in real life than in fantasy ala David Silva. Just not worth the risk ATM for me.
Fair enough, I'm hoping he pays dividends soon otherwise some surgery might be necessary
I'd upgrade Welbeck to Rooney before I'd upgrade any of you mids to Hazard.
Hazard might explode now but he's been threatening to do it all season and still nothing so I wouldn't want to be depending on him. Rooney, on the other hand, will likely keep racking up points without ever becoming so popular that he stops being a nice differential.
I'd do the GK switch now and get a better striker next week.Cheers. Exactly my thinking.
Are you contemplating a gk transfer? Getting Sanchez must be tempting but you should be saving that 4.1 for welbeck to costa next week
Exactly. Or Rooney. Or Studge. Or Falcao.
Cheers all for the replies.
Sounds like Haz is tempting you as he is me..... I just remember the West Ham hat trick last year. Guy in my league (c) Hazard that week and it killed me. Keep thinking Haz is going to do it again.
Yeah. Problem is you'd have to sell a player of better value who's been performing better than him to get him if you have the template midfield.
Costa is suddenly in the picture for you? What changed overnight?
Remember still time to submit teams and vote in this week's search for a Scout Picks champion.
vote or submit a team via this community article http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2014/10/27/gameweek-10-community-champion-vote/
Polls close at 10am tomorrow.Dear DZ,
I implore you to consider voting for a person I only know by the great efforts he takes each week to put together a team for the Community Champion competition.
Please give Frank Black's contribution a look-see and consider voting for him, no one makes a better effort on a weekly basis. He merits an opportunity:

(Last post on this by me for a couple of hours, have to get my 1 year old to nursery school and sort out what to do with my 2 year old that is sick and cannot go today - poor guy's been wheezing all night. If someone else wants to take up the cause, would be much obliged.)My team after I use my 2FT
Forster
Baines, Clyne, Chambers
Sanchez(VC), Sterling, Hazard(C), Downing
Aguero, Pelle, Welbeck
Guzan, Moore, Naylor, Boyd
Plan is to save the FT next week then get Costa back after the international breakhow you gonna get him back m8 ?
Probably downgrade hazard to a mid price mid like Chadli or Siggy
2FT...Best move? pondering on this 4 a while...thx
1. sigur + sterling > Oscar + Mane
2. sigur + sterling > Haz + Diame/or 5.6lower
3. (-4) sigur + sterling + downing > Cesc + Mane + Boyd
rest of team: chadli - adm // welbeck - dcosta - aguero
thinking option 1.You really have been pondering it for a long time 🙂
What's your 15 man squad and how much money in the bank ?itb .1 so nothing
rest of team: baines-chambo-wisdom // chadli - adm // welbeck - dcosta - aguero
or i could just do sterling>oscar and keep sigur.
thing is sigur's fixt are not as friendly as sou next 3. even tho sigur seems fixture proof as seen against holand.CHE (QPR-liv-WBA-sun-TOT)
SOU (hull-LEI-avl-MCI-ars)
POOL (new-CHE-cry-STK-lei)
SWA (eve-ARS-mci-CRY-QPR)It's very hard to read your points and team my friend , try to link your team to your profile it will be easier 🙂
Costa > Berahino
Chadli > Hazardcheers. will give it a look, as i was thinking of keeping dcosta. dont want to take risk of costa being arounf ag QPR at home. but berahino is in huge form. its either that or mane + ooscar.
2. Haz + Moses! You have no WestHam/Spurs/Stoke players for their corresponding fixtures next two GWs. I responded to your post earlier check it out.
rx i have downing! + adm-chadli // welbeck - dcosta - aguero
Nevermind! Sorry confused you with another team. Seems like your leaning towards 1, and it could reap huge rewards if it works. Take the chance! cant win if you don't take a chance! Do it and be confident about it.
If you were wildcarding now, which goalkeeper combo would you go for?
Foster & Guzan
Foster/McCarthy. I have Begovic/Green, still it looks like McCarthy will take Green's place eventually.
Won't be for a while, Green had a great game today
Duff has some easy fixtures after Arsenal. Anyone think Burnley are capable of more clean sheets? Or sell Duff.
sell Duff if no other problems. But is he a defender you have to play week in week out?
This is true. I need Isgrove out, too
One of the better defenders at the 4mil mark who are getting 90mins
Question to members: Too lazy to search around for a glossary of terms so.... within the members comparison tool, what does the "+key" refer to for players?
Anyways, Henderson > Mane
Thoughts? Seem pretty confident I'll go ahead with it but wanted to gauge the community as wellkey refers to the important stats, I believe they are highlighted differently when you look at the stats in the comparison tool. Personally I think Mane offers more potential than Hendo, the ICT index certainly thinks so
Key points. The more important factors.
I like using both the key & overall. In most cases, both will favour one player.Cheers guys!
Mane I haven't seen. He seems like he has more threat than Henderson, so likely a good move.
Now I'm looking for weaknesses in my team. I fear I have grown too fond of some players and believe my team to be better than it actually is. I am blinded by this, can you guys help me see the light?
Now this team is subject to the Costa question but assuming he will play against QPR what is wrong with this side?
Forster, McCarthy
Baines, Ivan, Naylor (Moore, Duff)
Sterling, Tadic, Chadlii, Siggy (Boyd)
Costa c, Aguero, Pelle
2FT
1.6m
Naylor has an awkward fixture this week so I'm keen to move him on possibly to Chambers and carrying over the other FT. Is this really a wasted transfer though? is there something more important which needs addressing? Again its based on the assumption Costa will be fit.I don't see the point in the Chambers transfer. He'll be no better than Naylor and maybe even worse long term.
For me Costa aside it's Tadic, Chadli and Ivan who aren't worth the squeeze from that lot.I think Chadlii is my weakest link in midfield. Tadic might go eventually but not while he has good fixtures. Chadlii on the other hand might even lose his spot soon, in fact it wouldn't surprise me if he's dropped for the next game.
Agreed. Chadli and Ivan would be my priorities.
The question is what to do this week. 😆
For me I'd downgrade Costa and upgrade Chadli but I know you're not into that.Yet....Its still a possibility pending more Costa news. Again I could defer the problem till next week and make a conservative trade but that could come at a massive cost if Arsenal go nuts. Plenty to ponder over.
Costa>Welbeck
Chadli>Fab/Haz
Looks good for this week and possibly long term as well. Not a bad solution, it provides an Arsenal player and an extra Chelsea one. Welbeck is teetering somewhat on the sell/buy ledge so I'm not sure on that. Perhaps Jonty is onto something re Berahino?
Been on about him since preseason. Shame I didn't start with him. What might've been.
🙁
This would be my choice as well
why do u think chadders might drop? pochetino has ben happy w him and has played him at time even as a 2nd forward on the left wing. he almsot scored this gw on that eriksen cross. who would come in his place?
seems lamela - erik -chadli are nailed as can be.
townsend, lennon are bench duty kane can come in for him or in for ade during game.akso chadli is their top goal scorer w/ 4. no reason to drop him being so
Well the simple fact that Spurs are struggling for goals and penetration. I heard the commentators during the game and they were slamming Chadlii and Lamela who constantly looked to cut inside (predictable) and provided very little pace and width to stretch the defence. Basically Poch is being very naive to persevere with 3 #10's
w/ al due respect, the commentators might have been pissed off. but how can u drop your top goal scorer. of anyhting he'd drop again eriksen or lamela. not chadli, and im not belgian. ade is at times poor in work ethic.
id keep all 3 and stick w the talent. cant se townsend, lennon doing better. lamela is the one thats huge talent but inconsistent, but poche being argentinian will stik w him imo.
in 1970 world cup, brasil played w/ 4 #10s..u play w the best talent and make room for them. yes, comparison is huge, but just as a pt of refYep, and you make a good point. Whats wrong with 3 #10's? these commentators were obviously old school and very English in their approach to football (traditional). The thing is though, they weren't that wrong. Spurs did struggle to offer genuine goal threat. Its a hard one and a tend to agree that Poche is unlikely to change that style.
yep. actually they were 5 #10s in in 1970.
thats why it was revolutionary to certain dergee
pele, rivelino, jairzinho, tostao, and gerson were all #10s in their respective clubs the coach just reassigned roles like tostao playng forward etc.
its al baout being a "good intelligent" coach.
and poche is right. heck at beg of seaso i was in doubt of chadli, as i thought they could play w soldado and ade upfront. but he proved me wrong. chad didnt even start for belgium. erik and lamela for me r untouchables.
I'd get rid of Taylor, three tough fixtures ahead, especially for a DF. Personally, i'm not pleased with Sterling and you should probably get rid of one between Tadic and Chadli(Tadic is going to face tough fixtures soon). The attack looks great if Costa is actually going to be fit for QPR.
Yeah I could probably hold Tadic for another 3GW's while he has good fixtures but yeah I think Chadlii and Sterling are probably more urgent matters. Chadlii in particular might even lose his starting spot I fear.
I don't think he'll ever lose his starting spot but without Sturridge and with the team playing so badly he's not producing much. I'd love to see him play as a false 9 since Balotelli is pretty much a false 9 or false forward in general himself.
Sorry I was talking about rumours on Chadlii losing his spot to err Townsend.
I agree that Sterling could be great as a false 9, Class is perminant and all that too. I don't think he needs to go urgently but at the same time I think he is in line for the chop. I think Sterling is worth holding for another week, when Liverpool score goals he is usually involved.
Chadli and Siggy would worry me , mid is full of as assisters, there is a goalscorer emerged ( Sanchez ) maybe downgrade Ivan to get him ?
Yeah an Ivan downgrade might be a way in to get finance and if it wasn't for QPR this week I'd probably have sold him by now. Chambers is really the only defender I'd want in though but it just seems to be a week too soon to sell Ivan.
Yh I get you but flip side of it Sanchez has BUR and your team will be better for it in the coming weeks and who knows QPR could sneak a goal they are confident all of a sudden
Hmm, you raise a good point about how Sanchez's time is now. I agree that to get him next week will be a week too late perhaps negating the sale of Ivan a week too soon. Certainly something to consider.
That's assuming you are thinking of
Ivan Siggy > Chambers Sanchez ( if affordable I'd go for it )Certainly affordable but I might sell Chadlii instead of Siggy. I just have a feeling his time has come. We all know Siggy is class however.
Yep that's true Chadli is just the better short term pick , Siggy for the season and your TV will not drop if you lose Chadli
I'd be concerned about no arsenal attack this week plus they have some reasonable fixtures coming up. Costa would be the only 1 I can see funding this though
Yep, I'll await news on Costa but at this point in time, I'm almost certain to keep him based on recent quotes.
Chadli and Tadic seem hot and cold, Sterling has been a little off form in the last couple, Ivan is in my chop zone (but will stay this week for QPR) and Naylor's fixtures now turn. Naylor is probably the weakest short-term from that lot, but finding a suitable replacement that will deliver you more points than replacing one of the others is not simple. Sorry, that's probably not very helpful.
No very useful. It wouldn't be ideal for me to sell both Naylor and Ivan over the next few weeks. I should look to minimise my defensive transfers and an Ivan downgrade might be more useful when considering the rest of my team.
Minimizing defensive transfers is a sound policy. However, I must confess I have just shipped Naylor myself - though I'm fairly confident I will get good returns from his replacement. (I had £3m in the bank before the move if that helps you guess who I bought! 🙂 )
Ha! upgrades are always worthwhile though (perhaps downgrades are too?) Its the like for like defensive transfers which seem a bit meh though? Will I really gain that much in the long term going with Chambers over Naylor? Perhaps I'd be better off making a structural change but downgrading Ivan? Then again, Naylor has an awkward fixture this week.
It's tricky. If you don't make a change to the back line this week then anything more than 2 points from your third defender will be a bonus. But apart from Soton, no team has really been showing a greater propensity for clean sheets than those teams already represented in your backline. So your money may go further if spent upfield.
By the way, I replied to your FFF query at the top of the page. Thanks for your input Diva. Some good thoughts there.
I've pencilled going Naylor to Chambers this week too if that helps Ryan
Yeah, its a conservative move but it will provide me with further info on making the more serious changes next week. Will have to hide behind the couch during the Arsenal game though.
More chance than Naylor v Everton. And agree, looks boring but is best for upcoming fixtures. And yes, keeps your spare FT for another week
Naylor>Chester?
Yeah I am somewhat intrigued by Hull defenders. Will have to check the ticker.
A mixed bag. Not worth touching I think.
31 is the max safety score in Last Man Standing.
Should drop considering the amount of hits this week. Thanks for update and the effort you put in, it's starting to get a bit interesting now
Cheers. Will be more interesting next year when it becomes musical chairs.
I still like it now , rewarded for consistency, just mean with less Pelle and making it this far it becomes more important , bit of a silly question but am I right that gw8 it will be between 2 people left fighting for the 1st place ?
*less people
And gw38 not 8, damn autocorrect
Cheers! 39 (-4) so safe for 1 more week
Can I get a prize for coming top this week or does the warm glow of satisfaction have to suffice?
You'll get a mention in the Community Round Up 🙂
That and my highest ever OR is plenty enough for me!
Great stuff. Top 1K finish is well within your sights.
Not sure if 'plenty enough' makes sense but I'm gonna with it
'gonna go with it' even. I need to go to bed.
A top 1K finish is still a distant dream at this stage. Laid the groundwork for an assault but there's still plenty chance to muck it up.Weaknesses Chadli, Naylor and Ivan
Considering this wildcard team:
Gk gk
Baines Chambers Clyne Wisdom Saylor
Sanchez Di Maria Fabregas Downing Boyd
Aguero Pelle Berahino
Thoughts? Just wondering who to choose for keepers, too.(9.6 left but wouldn't spend much more than 9 on keepers)
Looks solid. Really strong midfield and great balance. You not concerned about Costa or any other premium striker?
Concerned for sure. If mourinho says something positive about Costa it might be back to the drawing board.
Its a good thing the other options are sidelined for now. Might be an idea to consider a get out of jail plan if Costa/Rooney/Sturridge becomes essential.
Please Rate my team fellas:
Forster 4.0
Bertrand Baines Duff Wisdom Wilson
ADm Fabregas Downing Sanchez Chadli
Welbeck Pelle Costa
0 ITB, 0FT
I did the boring Siggy-->Downing and Sterling-->Sanchez for (-4)
Who shall I captain this week?
CheersSanchez C baines VC
Cheers
you just took a hit, maybe picking your captain should be an easy decision. Sanchez (c)
Thank you sir you are right
Captain Sanchez. Great fixture this week and he's on form, can't get better than that really.
Hey Chaps
Ivanovic gets a 1 match ban? Does Chelsea play a cup game before QPR.
ThanksThey play midweek so Ivanovic is free to play QPR.
Cheers mate. nearly tossed him out for Baines but no red flag
Yes, seems to be true, as the writeup for the Chelsea Shrewsbury game says Ivanovic is suspended so Zouma must start. He's only suspended one game so this must be it.
They do. Though with Azpilicueta looking for a route back, I'm not convinced it's Luis that will be dropped.
Mannone, Myhill
Baines, Bertrand, Wisdom, Dummet, Moore
ADM, Sterling, Tadic, Siggy, Marney
Aguero, Costa, Wellbz
What should I do?
A. ADM-->Sanchez & Sterling-->Fab
B. Mannone-->Guzan and save other FT.2FTs btw
Adm→sanchez or hazard
+ dummet→chambersA
Leaves me with 0.0 ITB. 🙂
can you do Sterling-->Sanchez by not losing ADM by any chance?
0.2 short 🙁
maybe do Wilson-->Yun or 4.0 then Sterling-->Sanchez? Thats what I's do
Wisdom
Another option. Thanks for that.
Neither are great options and they both seem very sideways. I prefer A)
I'm somewhat confused by your comment. You reckon I should hold fire as I'm loosing more with the transfers long term?
well, its an awkward one, I think we are both in a very similar situation. A) is a bold move that could be brilliant and it could bit you. B) looks completely pointless as Villa has lost it defensively in my view.
Perhaps consider another way? maybe another conservative option to weigh up against A)Thank you for the reply. You almost read my mind. The problem with A is that it breaks up some balance to the squad. Team wise. But it could pay off very well with upcoming matches. Thing is would I want to go back if they blank or disapoint?
The thing is I can't see any clear way to make a conservative move in your team. There are hardly any goalies in the 4.5m range that offer better value.
If there was such a move I'd recomend using 1FT and having 2 freebies next week to make a more informed choice.
Nevertheless with Chelsea playing QPR and Arsenal playing Burnley I guess there is no better time than now to jump on their bandwagons.
If you were on wildcard would you bring in hazard for Fabregas? Or stick with fab?
I like Fab better just for the consistency.
I changed Fab to Hazard. Fab is like a metronome but I like Haz on pens and he is more exciting to own.
Yeah I'm thinking goalscorers usually come out ahead of assisters by the end of the season.
I'd argue Hazard and the reason being is that he ISN'T as consistent as Fab. If he is going to be above or on the same points as Fab at the end of the year - which most agree he will, he needs some big rounds. Pick those and you will win. I feel they could be coming sooner than Christmas too
He did look menacing against manu so God knows what he could do v qpr
Depends on how else you would use the cash.
According to my current draft it would be in the bank. I don't really see that as a big deal though because we make transfers all the time... 0.6 can come in handy so if fab is the better value option I'd prefer him
Hmm I would agree that Fabregas is the better value. I also think that Hazard is no longer the go to guy at Chelsea. I can't see him replicating last seasons form.
This. Costa is the X-factor in this reasoning.
Thinking about a Sanchez punt for one week - ADM > Sanchez (have welbeck and chambers too) and then get ADM back week after. Ridiculous?
yes, he's playing man city who just lost to west ham
Doesn't mean anything. City will beat United to nil
Agree, City miles better than United.
Wouldn't use two transfers on it personally
this
i did Sterling -> Sanchez
Not as ridiculous as it sounds, it would've been nice if you caught his first price rise
I think Sanchez will outscore Di Maria, wouldn't bother getting him back
The only thing stopping me from backing up that is the return of Walcott. Still to early i know but could have some impact.
Walcott won't be rushed back
agreed.
guy ...whats the latest on costa ? can someone update me plz
Which will score more guys?
A) Costa, Sterling, Naylor
B) Bera, Sanchez, Baines (-4)I did the same transfers for -4. Too much doubt over Costa and Sterling/Liverpool not firing. Plus I needed Baines as he's too consistent
...this were my reasons anywayCheers. Same reasons too, would be first hit.
Only thing stopping me is Costa uncertainty. Can see him smashing QPR and making me rue getting rid.Spooky, my first hit as well. Only made 6 transfers up until today
Ha 6 transfers too.
With that I hope you do amazing this GW... 🙂Good luck to you as well buddy
Go for it but might aswell wait 23 hours now ,more Costa news might come out
which is best going forward?
a.sigur
b.chadli
SWA (eve-ARS-mci-CRY-QPR)
TOT (avl-STK-hul-EVE-che)Possibly Downing. Nice fixtures that those pair.
just for those 5 games Chadli imo
tough call. Swansea are pretty consisten and Spurs are so night and day. Chadli has the preferable fixtures and more proven goal scoring ability when compared to Siggy. Siggy is very unselfish and more of a facilitator.
Hey, guys! Long time since my last post. Which one would you choose?
A) Naylor - Sigurdsson - Costa
B) Bertrand - Sánchez - Berahino (-4)B if Costa remains a doubt
Depends on Costa really. At this stage I'd stick with A
B better fixtures
According to the stats, aguero has missed 6 "big chances" in
his last 4 games.
Yuck!At least he can afford to miss chances. He puts half of them away.
I've owned him since his first start so I agree. Just wish he had scored those 6! Costa hasn't missed a big chance yet so hopefully they swap stats in that regard haha
I know, imagine if he got that penalty. 5 goals in one game would be unprecedented.
What's this FFF site people keep mentioning?
I think I've answered my own question about whether I should bring in hazard for Fabregas on wildcard.
With Fabregas in the team he isn't even my vice captain. As soon as I put hazard in the lineup on the transfer screen I thought "captain v qpr?"
My subconscious definitely prefers haz!I'd be concerned about he he would go with Costa back. I doubt he'll cut inside as much.
*how
Thanks for replies. You're the most helpful poster this morning!
My subconscious too , but Haz only good at home
So captain then? Hazard, Sanchez,, Aguero or Costa
Guys, if I already used 2 transfers this week for -4, but I will decide to play my wildcard later in the week, then i assume I won't take that hit? Can anyone clarify this?
Yes, the WC will wipe out any hits you have already taken. Good luck!
Thank you.
yes thats correct the hit will be erased
Yeah, you won't take a hit.
Yep your right it's all wiped clean
HELP NEEDED - Have 1 FT, 0.0m ITB, Team Value 103.1m.
GK - Schmeichal, Heaton
DF - Chambers, Moore, Clyne, Taylor, Wilson
MD - Fab, ADM, Sterling, Siggy, Schneiderlin
FW - Costa, Aguero, Ulloa
Think I need Arsenal cover so should I
A) Sterling --> Ramsey (for free)
B) Siggy & Ulloa --> Boyd & Welbeck (-4 Hit)
C) Siggy & Sterling --> Boyd & Sanchez (-4 Hit)
D) Otherwait on costa news if he out then , costa and ulloa to pelle and welbeck
D: Costa > Welbeck
Next week Scneid > Boyd and improve defenseCheers lads, suppose everyone and their mother are waiting on the Costa news. Will wait and see how things unfold
Naylor to Chambers or keep the FT?
I'd make that transfer
Naylor isn't too playable in the next three. But Chambers is far from a perfect choice (swa MUN after the plum BUR fixture). It really depends on who your other defenders are.
A
9 years, 7 months ago
Don't suppose it's worth a hit to get Hazard or Sanchez in (and give 'em armband maybe) £1.2m in the bank
Bego
Baines Terry Chambers
ADM Siggy Sterling Tadic
Aguero Pelle Beharino
Bench - Clyne Duff Marney
