Sky Sports Focus – Fantasy Football Scout League Details

As we mentioned yesterday, the Sky Sports Fantasy Football game is now up and running ahead of the 2015/16 campaign.

After winning top spot in the League of Leagues for the past three seasons, we’re looking to defend our crown once again and hope to make it four times running this year.

For those playing the Sky Sports game, we’ve set up an official Fantasy Football Scout league – the name is FFScout and the pin number to join is 8009000.

Last season, we handed over a cool £1,000 to the Fantasy manager who finished at the summit of the Scout league and hope to offer prizes once again this year – which should be incentive enough to assemble a team and get involved.

Over the next few days, we’ll be rolling out Player Price List analysis articles, breaking down the options position by position and offering insight into each player’s potential.

Once the season gets underway, we’ll be bringing you hints and tips in our weekly Friday afternoon “Sky Sports Focus” articles, analysing the market trends and looking at transfer tactics for the Gameweek ahead.

Our regular contributor d1sable will again be at the helm to offer his expert advice – he’ll be looking for yet another top 100 finish after a storming end to the previous campaign.

We’ve set up a new community article to exclusively deal with Sky Sports Fantasy teams. Those looking to get involved with the discussion should click this link.

    - Most probably start with Rooney/Costa over Aguero.
    - 3 rotating 4.5 defenders. 1 each week in 3-4-3
    - I feel the team has a good balance. Would have liked Fabregas/Silva in the MF. I may downgrade the DF to upgrade MF. Downgrading Aguero really does go a long way.....

Depay or Mata instead of Ozil.

I'm an Arsenal fan and a huge fan of Ozil. Just a feeling, but I think he could have a great season with the right players around him. Mata is certainly tempting though (I did consider him), however at this stage nobody really know what LVG is going to do with the midfield.

A proper rest. No WC. Pace all around him with Sanchez, Walcott, Ox, Welbeck. He showed at the end of last season what he is capable of. Very excited to see what he can do. I do hope he shows a little more aggression/fight off the ball though (was beginning to show at times towards the end of last season).

Arsenal will play 4-2-3-1 every game. And he loves Ozil, very rarely rested or subbed.

Will be playing deep along side Coquelin. Had a great spell last season though. Ozil seems the better pick for me at the moment. Ozil could easily be Ramsey or Cazorla. Worth considering. thank you.

Don't know how Puncheon will play now that Cabaye has been recruited

Other than that it looks solid

      Maybe Walcott over Özil?

I still considering the Puncheon place in the team. He is the tested and proven player that the moment, more security to start than anything else. Someone will emerge in the first couple of weeks hopefully.

    Myhill, Ruddy
    Ivanović, Cédric, Morgan, Mings, Richards
    Hazard, Silva, Henderson, Ritchie, Wanyama
    Rooney, J Rod, Sakho

With 2.5 ITB to do Rooney->Aguero come GW4

I don't like Richards (walking injury).

And Silva is not worth 10M with Fab at 9M, or rather risk it with Özil/Ramsey/Mata/Depay/Cazorla + 1.5M.

          J. Rod is probably playing on the wing so would be a great pick if he was a midfielder in the game too.

            Very good points.

I'll reconsider Richards, it was more like a default choice anyway.

As for Silva and J Rod, I was tempted by Walcott, so I might upgrade J Rod then.

            Thanks!

Top work on accenting the vowels.

My main thought would be why are you keeping 2.5 in the bank for the first 3 weeks of the season? Could use the money elsewhere and still shuffle to get Aguero in GW4 without taking a hit.

As far as we know if JWP isn't on the pitch its Tadic. Tadic has taken them before when JWP and Schneiderlin weren't there.

Actually, think there's been a change of penalty policy. When Tadic scored one vs Chelsea (after missing vs Burnley), Schneiderlin was on the pitch.

OR Koeman wasn't counting Tadic when he was talking about his penalty takers because Tadic wasn't fit.

Apparently, according to Koeman, we haven't ever seen a good Ramirez because of fatigue and injuries. I'm not sure if I subscribe to this view but Koeman's optimistic. And in Koeman I trust.

    Afternoon Gents
Any chance of an RMT on this:

    Butland/Ruddy
    Ivanovic/Mert/Darmian (Targett/Morgan)
    Haz/Walcott/Bolasie/Milner (Behrami)
    Aguero/Sakho/Diouf

I'm torn over Milner or Depay. Could possibly fund by downgrading in defence.
Is my front 3 a little weak?

Just a point as a Stoke fan, not sure Diouf is nailed. Joselu looked tidy today so could well be placed ahead of Diouf. Bojan however is nailed imo.
Would downgrade Aguero to Rooney/Costa and upgrade either Sakho or Diouf to someone else.

        Noted!
I'm a West Ham fan and have high hopes for Sakho this season.

Aguero this season is like RvP (was it last season?) - whereby his price meant it was pretty much impossible to get a decent looking team!

i think milner is a good shout. he could potentially be a real bargain at 7.0. Like the midfield and defence but have you looked at wilson or deeney up top rather than diouf?

Re GK. I usually have one choice and never rotate - so I'm contemplating that again this season and sticking with Fabianski.

Front 3 is a choice of:

        Aguero/Sakho/?
        Rooney/Sakho/Giroud

Option 2 seems pretty tasty right?

Tbh i think i prefer first as I'm unsure about Giroud's game time...

            I think you're right re Option 1.

Giroud tends to hit patches of form on and off too.

            Updated option is:

            Aguero/Sakho/Deeney

Which then allows me to upgrade Mert to Kosclieny.

Reckon Stekelenburg will start over Davis?

Seems like he will be playing beside Matic like he did for most of last season. But he did do well from that position though, so I don't know. I've always had Hazard in my teams right from the beginning but I'm really struggling to find the extra 2.5m to fit him in.

    Azpilicueta, Mertesacker, Cedric (Huth, Burke)
    Fabregas, Silva, Walcott, Henderson (Wanyama)

This. Besic, Cleverley and maybe even Barkley could go for that role. I don't see him lasting after a couple Gameweeks

He shouldn't be in our side, Besic is far, far better, and we have McCarthy and Cleverley. He also looks like he's running underwater.

I know how much you guys love a RMT. Who am I to deny you?

    Cech

    Darmian Matthews Azpilicueta

    Özil Fàbregas Depay Cabaye

    Agüero Wilson Rooney

    Hennessey
    Targett
    Francis
    Wanyama

I like Darmian and Matthews in the back.

Aguero out for start right? And I'd wait for Depay and Cabaye...

      Good start tho.

Depay is my punt. I always take one new big player to the league each year.

Aguero v Chelsea GW2 so I think he'll get 25 mins first game. That's plenty of time.

I like it a lot. He's got to be instrumental in a lot of Man U's goals. That's what I see in my too-often-foggy-but-sometimes-clear crystal ball.

Triple Man Utd should probably be changed. Rooney to Kane? Gives be an extra 1.5m to upgrade Cabaye?

Or even Benteke and upgrade Cabaye even further.

Here's me trying to work out if Ivanovic is really worth that extra (1.0) over Azpilicueta...

    Thoughts?

I think he is. However, I think that you will get more points with Azpi + 1.0 to upgrade someone than Ivan and a cheapie.

To me he is. Yes. Often has extremely high figure for take-ons too.

    Here's my latest attempt...

    De Gea (Elliot) -

    Azpi - Kosc - Clyne - Morgan - S Taylor -

    Haz - Walcott - Yaya - Deulofeu - Wanyama

    Costa - Benteke - Jerome

Idea is three big hitters in defence and midfield to play whatever the fixture then rotate the fourth defender and fourth midfielder, leaving the fifth as dead wood.

Always play 3 up front. Jerome is my punt atm but could well change....

    Any thoughts please?

Clyne to Moreno, Yaya to Sterling. 🙂 DDG to Adrian, Elliot to 4.5 keeper

not a big fan on rotation goalkeepers.

Do you think Moreno is a good shout? I see Clyne really thriving this season

Goalkeepers - Not a fan of one deadwood keeper and one highly priced one.

Defence - It's good but not brilliant because the rotation is poor.

Midfield - I like it very much. Walcott being priced at 9.0 is off putting, I would rather have Ozil or Cazorla.

Attack - Looks good although I think Rooney will outscore Costa in the first 6.

Thoughts on N.Clyne this coming season please all? Liverpool fairly solid and cannot see BR dropping/resting him tbh. £5.5m?

Liverpool's opening away fixtures aren't exactly yummy and I wouldn't fancy doing too much rotation with a 5.5. Darmian and Mertesacker are better value, imo.
