FFS Cup

FFS Cups – Results and Quarter-Final Draws

We take some time this evening to find out who has made it through to the quarter-finals of our two Premier League cup competitions.

Topping the bill among the last eight ties is a Live Hall of Fame top ten derby between Mark, whose rank of 297 makes him the highest-placed remaining manager, and the 423-ranked My Pretty Pony (aka Peter Kouewenberg). While Mark has the rank advantage, Peter’s second placing in the Live Hall of Fame, compared to Mark’s sixth spot, could see him prevail.

Choppers13, who conquered Patio Kev in round five, takes on Team Fosu-Mensah, who is at 3,474 – 2,506 places behind his top 1,000-ranked opponent.

The third quarter-final looks likely to be another close affair, with Sleepysi ranked just 960 behind 1,192-placed Fouad Khan.

Given the current rank of the other six managers through, both 364,588-placed K3lviN and 229,821-ranked The Shaman will be breating a sigh of relief as they face each other in a clash of the competition’s lowest-ranked remaining managers by some distance.

The full quarter-finals draw can be found here.

Choppers13 is the Members cup’s highest ranked-manager – and the only one still in both competitions. He has, on the face of it, a far easier tie in the Members cup, when he takes on 132,642-ranked Barwood.

The giant-killing exploits of 46,996-placed rogerbarton have taken him into the quarter-finals. Fresh from seeing off an 88th-ranked Pukka in round four, Roger defeated 20,109-placed Dr Ennet in the final 16 to set up an encounter with aspern, another higher- ranked manager, who sits in 12,763,

Cheltnamshire lalala, who currently sits at 3,056 and defeated community writer Kryten in the last 16, will square up to 59,241-ranked Malaikat Jahad.

Elsewhere, 13,579-placed Dynamic is the favourite in his quarter-final tie with Thecrystalball, who is the contest’s lowest-ranked manager at 171,998.

The full quarter final round draw can be found here.

There is £350 in Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk vouchers up for grabs for the final top three managers in both tournaments.

Good luck to all those involved and if you would like more information on the schedule and prizes, click this link.

I spoke to 2 farmers today, they saw an eagle with a serpent caught in its claws. It is a sign from the gods. Captain Hazard.

    Morning!
Currently on Coutinho T.Carroll Holgate but budget is approx. 18.5 for 2 mids and def, have to include hits ofc and want to separate moves between 36 and 37. Thoughts ??
Now, I also have: Sanchez Hazard Eriksen Alonso Monreal Yoshida Blind

    1. bench boost for every gamew…

Not sure if moving Holgate is the best thing, Stephens if you must. Blind must be monitored, see if he plays today, if he does prob ble rested and you could see if there is options for him elsewhere? Carroll isn´t the worst to have, ofc no DGW but at that proce level there is none available, maybe, and i say maybe with a big caution; Stanislas/Pugh, but i would´nt go there
Cout to Sane sound like a good move, depending on value on Cout you wil spare some cash, maybe to get Vert for Blind? Or cheapish (Blind to Stephens)and then upgrade Carroll to King? Possible?

Thoughts pls on three WC options:
    A. Gabriel, Vertonghen, Sane, Anichebe (bench)
    B. Monreal, Davies (or Huth), Pedro, Anichebe (bench)
    C. Gabriel, Olsson, Pedro, Gabbi (bench Stephens or Holgate)

I have BB and AOA left.

WC Draft 3 and pretty much final (0.0 ITB)

    Caballero
    Azpilicueta, Gabriel, Stephens
    Hazard, Sanchez, Eriksen, Sane, King
    Costa, Kane

    Pickford, Maguire, Anichebe, Holgate

No Jesus bandwagon so I can fit Sanchez
    BB on GW37

    Comments?

Kinda feel doubling on Arsenal defence could be a massive make or break decision- if they keep 3 cleanies over the next 4 it would be a game changer...

    1. LordRougeGrog
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member

It would only be a game changer if there are very few clean sheets elsewhere. Some easy looking fixtures for the big teams and Sunderland , would suggest that clean sheets wont be in short supply.

    4. bench boost for every gamew…
      • 7 Years

      Karan is onto something there.
Also a possibility is that tue/wed is often a little bit slower and the players who went down were either very close for mane days (Mcauley) or moving downward trajectory falls (Zaha). My guess is that Jesus and Haz might go up today, Caballero and maybe one of the Arsenal guys, but i think the first two only today, the other maybe tomorrow

Sgw ayers are dropping but with the threshold for dgw players doubled, there's not many risers.

Probably won't be many risers this week as thousands will be unaware of the Friday night deadline

Don't believe a word of it. Mourinho hates losing to rivals, particularly Wenger, and will likely play strong and park the bus.

No way Mourinho gives up on any fixtures....each game is seen as .... well not so much must win .... but must not lose!

You think Mourinho will let Utd lose to Arsenal? He would rather lose to Sunderland than Arsenal!

I'm pretty sure he won't be trying to lose to anyone.

No, I think he'll park the bus with backup players.

United are unbeaten in the league for 25 games. He's not going to let Wenger and his powder puff Arsenal side just ruin that
