Pfff...I dunno mate I have had a fair amount of abuse from Man Utd fans in the few years I have followed football. I think every club has a small section of them.

Because they won everything, had a manager that alienated everyone and they had a habit of winning even when they weren't playing well. You were either on the right side of it or the wrong 😀

It's because in the 1990s Sky were so biased towards them, fawned over them and then all your local kids who should've supported their local team started appearing in United shirts.

I think Fergie was a uniquely talented manager but he was also a right b****d and that annoyed people.

My general opinion to Man United is ambivalence. As I believe it should be for most.

Personally, I don't think anyone should hate any club. Support and worry about your own team and lets fans of the other clubs do the same for theirs. People just find it much easier to bring the negative than the positive.

I hate Man Utd and some of their fans because of their hypocrisy.
They make fun of Liverpool for not winning the PL. They forget that they didn't win the league for 26 years either.
We don't sack managers. Sacked Moyes and Van Gaal in no time.
They just keep splashing cash like mad men these days. That's not what they were. They are like any rich club these. They've lost their uniqueness also.

Wonder if it was the same in the 70s and 80s when Utd didn't win much apart from the FA Cup. Did everyone either support or hate Liverpool when they were the dominant team?

People are always going to hate on whoever is doing well. Just so happened United dominated for near on two decades.
Hence why every club has supporters that hate United, will always be the case!

I don't like Man Utd and Liverpool because the CL broadcaster would air their games against bad team instead of airing more interesting matches.

Good read as always Individual. Looks the sort of player you want to "get on" and "get off" at the right time to maximise his impact in FF terms. I'll be watching his first 5 performances closely and if the price is right he could get an early stint in my side form GW6 onwards.

i worry with lower priced strikers that until proven and show consistency they are too much of a risk, normally see better value and consistency in midfield at the 5.5m-8m price range - that being said we have a few early tough games for Everton to see how they setup and perform, if a gem reveals itself we've got time to see

there's various rumours of Giroud going to Everton, that could change things, actually think that might be a good move for him, always a little underrated at Arsenal imo

But I feel like we've got a lot going on this season just with FPL, so I'd end up casualling out on Sky and end up with a zombie side... am an all or nothing kind of guy so I think I'll give it a miss for this year again. Main new features in SKY FF next season:

1) introduction of an Overhaul feature(Wildcards). You will be able to take advantage of Overhaul twice next season; once in September and the other taking place in February. During these weeks, you will be able to make an unlimited amount of transfers but must remain within the budget of £100 million. These transfers will not come out of your 40-player transfer limit.

2)Can choose your captains in advance. i.e. You can lock in your captain for Saturday ,Sunday , Monday during the week.

3) Introduction of a new in-game feature called "Ask Merson" lol. The "Ask Merson" feature is designed to help and assist you, keeping you up to date with any new features and news. He will constantly be flagging any new injuries or suspension concerns but more than that Merson will also give you helpful reminders to change your captain and of upcoming competitions in the game.

4) 1st prize is now increased to £50k 😉 Oh and a shirt signed by Jeff Sterling.
