The ScoutCast – Episode 240 – Armbandits

The crucial captaincy decision comes under focus in this latest ScoutCast episode. We’re five strong as Jonty, Andy, Granville and Az join me to put our skippering habits under scrutiny.

And when it comes to depriving us of returns, there’s no bigger “Armbandit” than Harry Kane. We’re all forced to give our updated opinions on the Spurs striker, as another “home banker” at Wembley looms for Fantasy Football’s most expensive and frustrating asset.

Elsewhere in this 90-minute marathon, your community questions steer us to assess the midfield heavy-hitters wrestling for our attention, explore the methods of dealing with festive rotation and the theory that we’re all playing down the impact of bonus points when weighing up transfer targets.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

    RP for some opinions....
    Fabianski/Elliot
    Kola/Mee/Duffy/Fernandez/Lascelles
    Salah/Surman/Sane/Richarlison/RLC
    Kun/Kane/Morata

    Which option guys?
    a) Save & Play 3-5-2 (Keep Kun for 2 home games) (FREE)
    a) Surman/Aguero to Hazard/Murray (-4)
    b) Kola/Surman/Aguero to Otamendi/Hazard/Wilson (-8)
    c) Kola/Surman/Aguero to Azpi/Hazard/Niasse(-8)

Transfer decisions basically come down to this:
    Otamendi and Choupo(rotate with Niasse)
    OR
    Alonso and Niasse(rotate with RLC/4.5def)

GW13 DS Stats, Clean Sheet and Fixture Odds.

In the previous GW the Doosra Stats didn't really highlight a standout fixture as such as for me there was nothing over 350DS.
However, the top fixtures it did show were Liverpool's (322DS) 3-0 victory over Southampton and Man City (313DS) won 2-0 away to Leicester. Both Man United and Chelsea were rated 273 and pulled off victories of 4-1 and 4-0 respectively!
On a personal note I'm glad I again took the hint from last week's article and last minute changed my captaincy from Azpilicueta to Salah.

    GW13 DS stats:
    ARS: bur 114

    TOT: WBA 527

    WHU: LEI 9
(Doosra gives a more detailed explanation of these numbers here http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/comment/16458109)

So clearly the standout fixture this week is Spurs against WBA. It'll be interesting to see if Kane will follow the same pattern and again blank against a weaker teams at "home". For me, no Kane has meant plenty gain as I've had 3 consecutive green arrows since handing him his P45.

Jones dilemma is real. It feels we need a UTD defender and he is great but how many games do you sacrifice for him?! I'm wondering if he is fit and just getting a rest because they play a few days later.

I think he could play against Watford so worth holding through the price drop. Mou trusts Jones so I'm sure he'll play enough games over the busy schedule to justify his price (as long as the injury isn't serious of course).

Sterling Sane B.Silva to play 2 games each potentially.

Pep played B. Silva and Danilo in the CL. I image it will be those two again when Sané gets rested. They'll also need to spell Sterling again at some point. Maybe some youth player will get a chance.

    In a 3-4-3, I'm playing a front 7 of :-

    (S)ane/Hazard/Salah/Richarlison
    Kane/Morata/Wilson
    (RLC on bench 1st sub)

Please select a goalie and 2 defenders to join Otamendi:
    a) Fab or Elliot
    b) Mee/Duffy/Fernandez

    Thanks in advance.
