The ScoutCast takes on the role of support group ahead of Gameweek 18, as the four-strong collective attempt to give advice on how to find motivation when the season begins to slide into the abyss.

I go AWOL, though Peter Kouwenberg comes in for a timely debut. The former Hall of Fame number one is one of those suffering an abject season, after an extraordinary run of three successive top 300 finishes. No, really.

For once, Jonty, Andy and Az are in the presence of Fantasy Premier League greatness, then, as the quartet give counsel on those struggling to soldier on after a season of “unnecessary roughness”.

Elsewhere they talk Harry Kane for once, as exit plans are abandoned, while questioning whether Eden Hazard can justify his selection in light of David Silva’s sudden goal spree.

            Maybe I’m blinded by his earlier season returns...I can see how you’d be frustrated with that!
            But I’ve been burned by point chasing before, so I’ll continue to hold as long as he’s playing consistently.

        Thinking of switching to 3-5-2.

        Every week a budget forward comes up (Wilson, Niasse, Abraham...Rooney now) but they all disappear quickly.

        But nothing much now from Aguero, Jesus, or Lukaku after good starts.

        That’s my thinking.

        I’m looking at RLC/Jesus to Sterling (already have Sane) and DCL and switching to a 3-5-2. (Morata and Kane up front).

            Were thinking along the same lines then.

            I’ve always played with a front three. Seems crazy to me having a starting striker on the bench, but I think there are so many good options in midfield

      I got Aguero last week for Morata - did OK for me as I captained him over Salah and Kane. Will probably keep this week as have used my FT and hope he plays. Not expecting too much against Tottenham, though. I might still move him on for Lukaku or maybe down to Vardy and spend the money on Silva next week, but it would be for a hit so I'm not keen.

        The rotation problem is frustrating!
        Jesus was still chipping in with assists even with his cameos. But for 10.5m, I would like a bit more.

        I've not been following WHU too much. But at the minute, I think Collins could only get a start in place of Ogbonna. but Moyes isn't going to change a back line thats kept 2 CSs against Chels & Arse.

      Yes. Collins or Fonte could come back as CB and Cresswell takes Masuaku's place. Although Fonte should be out till January and don't know how much Moyes rates Collins.

      Kabasele nailed, would prefer Kiko if fit but he is still a doubt. They have the fixtures and I brought Kabasele in last week but not sure I like that decision. Remains to be seen.

    Something to consider for those debating Ogbonna or Masuaku. Last 2 games have been masterclasses in parking the bus but prior to that they conceded 4 (under Moyes) to Everton (pre-Alladyce) and have one home game and a blank in the next 4. Why not get Kabasele instead, or even Janmaat if Silva confirms Fememia will be out for the festive period, and switch to WHam gw 22? Gives you a run of HUD, bha, LEI, SWA, WBA/tot, hud, BOU, CRY, bha, WAT

      Huddersfield's fixtures look pretty appealing and they're relatively decent in defence, could get Zanka or Schindler in - especially if you have someone who rotates decently with them when they're away.
