Merry Christmas from Fantasy Football Scout

Christmas is all about family. About sharing. About goodwill to all men.

I do a bit of that, though my day also involves points hits, rotation concerns and whether Harry is going to blank at Wembley.

I don’t wish this on you but, deep down, I know it’s too late. You’re just as lost in this as I am.

So that only leaves me to thank you for reading this and, of course, on this special day, for all your support for what we do here at Fantasy Football Scout.

Having this link to thousands of like-minded folk, similarly happy to burn hours contemplating budget strikers, is a comfort and a massive gift in itself. So thank you.

While I urge you to rejoin your friends and family, or at least find a channel showing Die Hard or Escape to Victory, I should also remind you that our Scout Picks and Captain Sensible articles will be with you later today.

Eat well, drink relatively sensibly and enjoy the day.

    Bit worried about Firmino being rested (would like to get Morata but means also Alonso to Ogbonna or max 5.3 m defender) but other than this is team set up OK to lock in, carry 1 free and Kenny best first on bench over RLC?

      No interest in Morata or Pogba. Morata doesn't haul for so expensive. Last 3 90 mins 11pts total against SWA NEW at home WHU away.
      Pogba plays too deep and can get 12pts one game and 3 the next 4

            i think his team mates also know this and they will do anything to give him that. I suspect that if Son or Alli sees themself one on one with keeper they will still looking for a pass to Kane. Southampton without van dijk consists of 3 very mediocre cbs and both their fullbacks are injured.

      I'm likely to punt on Son too (shipping Hazard and Richarlison out).

      I'd hold off on Spurs defence...they're not that tight at the back with Toby out, and the fixtures after DGW aren't great.

    Who to captain out of this lot?
    Kane, Salah, Firmino, Sterling, Sane

    Currently leaning towards Firmino. He could have had a hat-trick in the last game, and Liverpool have had an extra day's rest.
    As for Kane -- I think Southampton will park the bus at Wembley.
    But Liverpool and City players are likely to be rotated.

    Thoughts on Gross to Lingard for free? Need to play RLC if I dont do it, but Gross got nice games coming up after Chelsea and I can then save transfer that will come in handy for the tottenham double and so on.
