And despite WC there are still at least 7 FT's to use before the end of season...

I suspect its because Salah, Saka, Son, Haaland, Foden is a real struggle to fit without compromise elsewhere. Personally I am leaning towards Haaland being the compromise but you can see why people are settling on Foden

maybe its a team value thing, looks like my choice is Muniz + foden or sarabia + Isak, but im seeing a lot of teams with Isak and Darwin (which I just can't afford)

Well timed article given I was mooting doing the same FH34 WC35 BB37 approach myself. Even if I probably have a tough ride into Haaland. Cements not pulling the trigger on the WC for me (this week at least)

What’s the difference between your WC35 team and a WC30 team, especially given you’re free hitting in GW34?

Why not make the most of GW30-33 as well and catch as many price changes as possible between now and then. There are loads of free transfers to fix any issues.

The difference between my WC30 team and current team (following this week's transfers) is minimal. So there is really no need to spend it so early.

The difference between my WC30 and WC35 team will be all the changes, understanding, injuries, form ups and downs and new information that I get between 30 and 35 - clearly the team I would WC in 35 to today will be very different from what I actually WC to.

I doubt they'll rush him back and Kelleher has been doing well. I've used BB already so not too much of an issue when he is back and he's as cheap as you can get in that position if he does become a dead option.

Genius or madness? As time goes by, I'm becoming increasingly skeptical about having any Manchester City players at all. I didn't even notice they have 5 matches in 2 weeks. It's unlikely that City will beat Arsenal and Aston Villa with a significant goal difference, the question is whether they will win at all. Palace traditionally causes them huge problems from season to season, and before Luton, they visit the best team in the world. What are your thoughts?

There might be rotation away at Crystal Palace before the Real Madrid trip for the Tuesday evening.

Even though it's the 12.30 slot in gw32.

They'll score points for sure, especially if they are going to win the title again.

Actually, we are talking about 2 players - Haaland and Foden, since owning any other City player is not worth risk. First one is out of form for already a long time. I watched him in both Norway matches and he was one of worst on the field. The other one already playing huge amount of minutes, both for England and City and will probably be benched in one of next games.

Good info chap, although I do like having Bernardo in my squad as an enabler given the number of positions Pep tends to use him in.

I'm going with just Foden. Arsenal will be difficult but I also wouldn't be incredibly surprised to see it ending up being back and forth if there's an early goal, and Villa and Palace are generally difficult for City but they're also vulnerable defensively too. Haaland is Haaland but there are other good FWD options and I don't feel I "need" him, not right now at least

I do have Foden but may risk the same thing as it does save 8 points in transfers.

Bowen to Salah, to do but could be tempted to WC35 , only BB left
        5.7ITB
        Neto (Turner)
        Gabriel Moreno Gusto (Estu, Doherty)
        Saka Palmer Foden Son Salah(c)
        Solanke Watkins (Semenyo)

It really depends on Darwins YC's

If i did WC, i would set up the perfect BB team (and hope for no new injuries) and BB34 (with 2FTs), then do a couple of hits and get Man City/Chelsea that way

Unless is trent out for futher than expected i will roll play just the Bowen to Salah transfer this week

    Onana, Kelleher
    Udogie, Lascelles, Gusto, Gabriel, Richards
    Palmer, Gordon, Salah, Son, Saka,
    Haaland, Darin, Wood

I want one or two slight non templates - hence Wood and not too many with Gordon. I fancy Wood in the next 2 if he is fit.

Miggy pick from last season brings back bad memories.

Missed 7/8 goals in that hot streak. Bought him on limitless transfers in GW17 for his 8th goal, sold in 22 haha

"Between 1st October 2022 and Boxing Day 2022, Miguel Almiron scored 8 League goals in 9 games.

In the 46 games since he has scored 5 League goals.

In the 107 games prior he scored 10 League goals."

What do you think of this strategy for the next few weeks:

    GW30 Luiz & Haaland to Salah & Darwin -4
    GW31 Ait Nouri in
    GW32 Roll
    GW33 – Son & Watkins to Haaland & Sarabia
    DGW34 - Already 10 doublers + Haaland
    GW35 Wildcard

Is it too risky taking Haaland out for three weeks? Wouldn’t captain in any of those weeks and planning to have him back for the Luton game.

    1. tommo-uk-
      • 11 Years

Its always a risk going without Haaland, but the fixture schedule & difficulty probably makes it a 'safer' time to go without.

      Not for me though.

Thoughts on this WC please... Have FH and BB still...

Tinkered this multiple times and I think the main decision is around Foden Vs Saka.... On the below I've kept Foden and downgraded Saka to Rice

    Onana, Petrovic
Gabriel, Udogie, Gusto, Lascelles, Ait Nouri
    Salah, Son, Foden, Palmer, Rice
    Haaland, Solanke, Isak

      Rice is an interesting pick.

For me i would go Saka over Foden due to citys fixture schedule. Saka will play every game.

    How's this WC team looking?
    (FH in 34, no BB)

    Petkovic, Dubravka
    Gabriel, Gusto, Lascelles, Bradley, Udogie
    Havertz, Salah, Foden, Palmer, Son
    Muniz, Haaland, Isak
(3.0 in the bank to bring in Darwin for Muniz for 31)

    What do you reckon?

    1. Tonyawesome69
      • 5 Years

Dubravka is a questionable pick especially with Pope back near end of April and blocking 3rd Newcastle pick in Gordon later

        • 14 Years

Ah, thanks. That's a good point.
I'd probably go with Petkovic most weeks. I'm FHing in 34 so I would maybe need Dubravka for 33, 35 and 36.

        How's the rest looking?

Torn between Solanke and Isak up front.

Generally looks fine. Certainly a few short term/ questionable xMins picks like Bradley, Lascelles and Havertz.

Solanke v Isak is a tough one, I don't think there will be much in it over the next 4

              Thanks.
Havertz is a bit of a punt to be honest. He's playing well now so I'd hope he nails down a spot.
Bradley and Lascelles are short terms for sure.
I like to have a few punts in there to make it interesting!

Don't mind the odd punt or 2 as long as it balanced with long term picks

    Better option on WC30 (BB37)?

    A) Isak & Garnacho
    B) Foden/Maddison & 4.5 Fwd

If B will upgrade the 4.5 fwd around GW37 for BB.

    Best combo for gw 30:

    A. Ait-Nouri Salah Son (c) -4
    B. Ait-Nouri Son Salah (c) -4
    C. Porro Foden Son (c) (no hit)

    Thanks!

Sanchez injured - no issues with Petrovic game time (not that there was any).

    Colwill ruled out for Burnley.

Hi all. Thoughts on these moves.

    Watkins+Ødegaard >> Muniz+Salah(C)? Would be -4 hit.

    Dub

Gabriel Livramento Zabarnyi

Saka Palmer Son
 Foden
    Haaland Watkins Solanke
    (Areola, Ødegaard, Doughty, Taylor)

What is the latest on Darwin injury??

On WC and want to downgrade Watkins to make other changes, but not sure whether to pull the trigger.

Could always go Isak I suppose but just can’t see him staying fit all the way to GW37!

Could go with Solanke and Muniz for now. Leave enough funds to get Darwin when it's clearer?

I was thinking to sell Foden over Son but maybe it's a mistake...

Since Son has come back from Asian Cup, Foden destroys him on the stats.

    Foden/Son
    xGI: 3.88/2.22
    Pen area touches: 45/27
    Goal attempts: 21/9
Goal attempts in the box: 12/7

In those 4 games Son has 2g/2a. Foden 3g. But Spurs looked terrible in their last game as well plus Richarlison potentially being back to play upfront. Maybe the play is to stick with Foden especially since a lot of people are looking to offload for Salah.

I'll have to lose one of the two for Salah and it's gonna be a tight call (next week).

Another weeks worth of information is good here. I had Bowen so it was an easy choice.

Come 31, it'll be interesting to see if folks sell Son (after his haul against Luton) for free or Foden (-4) to get Salah in.

Yeah because actually, Foden makes more sense as the keep over Son.

AVL cry LUT is probably better than whu NFO new

I was leaning selling Foden but the extra -4 is hard to swallow with that fixture comparison. I'm not sure that Son outscores Foden by 4 over that run of games.

Need to factor in your xMins for Foden over that busy period. Also Son has the comfort blanket of being nailed and on pens.

Yeah that's certainly true. But Foden has not been rotated all season. I guess if ever there's a time, this period would be it...

Alvarez/ KDB and UCL 1st leg result will probably influence Foden's mins in the Luton game
