I think, for me at least, it has got to the stage where even if he didn't miss several weeks now, I wouldn't get him as he looks like a player who is going to be injured at any minute.

I will only play 3 at the back and it appears that I will always have a player with a difficult fixture I can bench, but it never works out well...
I think I'd just prefer to play Gerrard, with Olsson and 5.2m mid on the bench... instead of rotating Sterling and Snodgrass, and worrying about with big hitting defender to bench...

I had similiar kind of midfield for few weeks and felt that "my hands were tied" if you know what I mean. One cheap mid and you have little more room for future injuries and moves.

I was going to do Ade->Aguero and Mata->sterling this week. Now that Aguero is likely out, the logical transfer seems to be Mata->Yaya this week. The probelm is that it leaves me with Adebayor who may drop further. Should I get Lukaku or Rooney?

The lesson I've learned is that the odds are still in favour of transferring early. I've made a LOT of transfers this season, (far too many but that's a different issue) and almost all of them have been early. I've been bitten twice so right now it's looking like a 1 in 25 chance of being bitten. I still like those odds.
I will concede that with Aguero the chances are higher and in this case I should have waited. But in principle, I stick to my guns - the chances of being bitten are very small.Open Controls

10 years, 2 months agoSo now that Aguero is out and we got cash to spend in midfield who are the big hitters worth gettin in midfield apart from Hazard and Yaya? Considerin Suarez and Sturridge are lookin nailed on in most teams and sterling should not be overlooked at 5.8 it kinda makes it impossible to put gerrard in too. Apart from that there's Cazorla and Mata i guess.. both of whom have bad fixtures and i doubt will justify their price tags. And then there's silva who just does not perform if aguero is not in the team. sigh.. looks like its gonna be about spending all that cash in defense then
