KPI Analysis – Last Six Gameweeks

With double Gameweek 31 looming large over our Fantasy plans, we turn to the Key Performance Index tables in the members section and assess a selection of players with a pair of fixtures on their upcoming agendas. The KPI data focuses on the frequency of key stats or events in order to track player form –we look to the top 10 most improved midfielders in terms of minutes per shots inside the box and also assess forwards’ shooting accuracy over the past six Gameweeks:

      B. Kompany got more matches left, and keeps you from doubling on a mediocre team's defence.

I really, really, hope he's out for somewhere between 3 and 5 weeks, enough so I can get Lukaku instead, but not too much that it'll affect his world cup, this could be a big year for Argentina..

The SAS concept is being used in so many different ways on here. What does it really mean? Must be Suárez, Agüero, Sturridge, for sure?

Looking through Rooney's history this season shows that he goes through purple patches. e.g. between GW 9-13 his points are 12,12,411,13. I think he is in the middle of another purple patch

Funny to see the anger and schadenfreude at Aguero speculators. The whole game is based on gambling, on assessing the facts then backing your judgement.

Buying early at a lower price, but increased risk, is an integral part of this. If it pays off you get better returns, if it doesn't you risk bigger losses.

People who do it assess the risk and make a choice. It's part of the game guys.

I actually think that's not a bad idea.. or at least price changes occur all on one day without the 0.1m cap per price change, instead up to 0.3m as usual. Would probably encourage more casuals, which I the FPL would like. You can still do your transfers on Sunday night, but there's not reward for doing it.

Exactly mate, and RA makes a good point above. People like RonH with his over the top gloating and provocative trolling posts acts as if everyone who got Aguero in early is a complete numpty who has no idea what they are doing, while he is so much smarter than them. A lot of people who got him in would have been planning the DGW out to the last dollar and decided to take the risk that he wouldn't get injured to get the team they really wanted for next week. The risk didn't pay off (seemingly anyway), but I don't see that as justification for some of the gloating type posts. I doubt those guys have always played a perfect FPL season out.

All this talk about early transfers and catching prices. What would be very interesting is hourly price changes. So basically if a player reaches100% at 7pm, he rises and the same for dropping.

I don't agree. Having an artificially imposed time when prices can rise can cause more of a geographic imbalance.

And the programming probably isn't much different. The prices rise anyway, it's just an artificial construct that they change at a preset time.

But the way it operates now gives an advantage, albeit small, to users who live in Asia, Australia, NZ and USA. Having it hourly would give an advantage to the users in Europe. The european players of FPL are the vast majority of the players. Flagging/unflagging of players would also be chaotic as this could easily happen at the same time as price changes, something which the current system doesn't have any issues with.

That's how I see it. There can be some regulations to prevent the stock market going crazy. e.g a cap on how many transfers can be made in a week or allowing say 70 transfers for the season

FPL could place a limit on how many transfers can be done in a week and they need to get rid of that highest valued team on the status page. Glorifies having a TV of 120m and an OR of 2.5m

I don't see why having a huge TV at the expense of OR should be rewarded with a mention on the status page. If there was no such thing then this would prevent the market going crazy. Also a cap of even 100 is more than enough transfers for the season for anyone even half serious about playing the game. I just can't stand these guys who make 7 transfers every week just for TV

    Hi All,

Anyone playing the Europa Fantasy Game?

If yes, any suggestions on players?

I am wildcarding and planning to get Vidal, Tevez, Pirlo and a defender from Juve.
Then several players from Salzburg, but not sure on other teams.

Any kind of advice would be really appreciated.

Is anyone from Tottenham worth a try?

I know he had a massive run of form for 5 or so games but I don't know if I've watched Sunderland over those games and prefer to judge on what I've watched - anybody have a better idea?
Was he just unlucky beforehand and is now regressing to the mean?
Or has he changed role/position/taking more set pieces?
    Or become more greedy?

Basically torn between really disliking him as a footballer and thinking he's likely to be a decent shout with the doubles coming up.

He's 6.5 and is his team's star performer at times.. With decent fixtures and lots of them.

Just curious, why don't you like him as a footballer? I think he's lazy enough and his attitude is suspect but he's great to watch dribble (which is odd for an Englishman)

Partly because he's a bit arrogant for his actual ability and partly not actually his fault but people saying he was amazing based on them watching him bang in screamers when City were 4-0 up on MOTD ignoring that that was against tired teams who had been battered by Yaya and Silva for 80 minutes and that when he was given a starting chance he was rubbish..

Who is best to partner Sturridge and Suarez then?

I see a lot of people going Lukaku, I had him during his last "easy" run and he didn't exactly do great. Everton are not on the best of form but because of the fixtures I am leaning towards him.

Remy? Is he an injury doubt?

Anyone going Giroud? Say what you want about him but he has scored a decent amount of points. I know Arsenal have a tough run but do you really expect them to blank in all those matches? Giroud could easily get a goal or two.

Luakku is the best choice isn't he?

Lukaku's a better choice than Giroud for now anyway..

I'm not 100% convinced by Remy, I think he's a bit too hot/cold and he doesn't really explode.

Lukaku has the highest potential for points, he could go crazy, or he could flop just as easily...

Difference between Lukaku and Rooney = 3.1m
Difference between Sterling and Gerrard = 3.3m

When a player goes up by .1 is it true that you don't see any return from it?

i.e. I owned J. Rod since 6.2. He's just gone up from 6.6 to 6.7 but like when he was on 6.6 I can only sell him for 6.4 profit. So technically speaking, value is only gained when a player goes up by .2.

Could someone please correct me if I'm wrong.. I know it is late on in the season but I can't get my head around transfer value mechanics yet haha.

I think the "tomorrow he'll have a medical" was from an interview yesterday, but I might be mistaken.

The medical is today, but we'll know tomorrow in the presser. For what it's worth It looked to me as if he felt he might get injured so didn't risk anything, a tight hamstring basically but no rip tear or strain. There''s still a chance he might get some minutes at the weekend but I'm not captaining him now though

same situation here - think I'll monitor his price as well as that of Lukaku and Remy and try to wait until tomorrow afternoon. Currently leaning towards doing

        Aguero + Nolan -> Remy/Lukaku + Gerrard

for a -4 hit. Also leaves funds for upgrading defender.

Morning. So many asking if Aguero would get injured in the Barca game.. I can't believe he's actually out.. AGAIN. Hoping it's not too bad..
