Dugout Discussion

Dugout Discussion – West Ham vs Man United

A hectic afternoon with points aplenty will hopefully continue with the tea-time kick-off at the London Stadium.

With Sergio Aguero emerging from the bench to return a goal and potential bonus points at the Etihad, our attention now switches to the red side of Manchester and their own talismanic goalscorer – Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Heavily backed by FPL managers once again, the Swede takes on the Hammers with 24.1% of the Gameweek 20 armbands strapped to his bicep.

Elsewhere, Jose Mourinho recalls Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo at centre-back as two of five changes to his line-up; Henrikh Mkhitaryan earns his second successive start.

For West Ham, Andy Carroll drops to the bench having started the last four Gameweeks. Mark Noble and Andre Ayew also drop out as Pedro Obiang, Manuel Lanzini and Sofiane Feghouli earn starts.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I made an error thought I pressed the save button and switched De Roon for him before the deadline.

Just a heads up, did you play 4 defenders? Otherwise, Phillips will not auto sub if Alonso does not play.

Feghouli lunged with two feet and tried to draw one back. I think that's what did him in. Not sure though, when I saw it in play I thought it looked much worse than it was (and expected a RC) but on reply he tried to withdraw a foot

Yeah and from one angle it nearly looks like an attempted scissor kick. It wasn't but it looked bad on first view imo. It didn't help him at all, plus so early in the match does spoil it a bit.

Mike Dean, why did you have to do that? Firstly, it was right in front of your eyes and then you turned away thinking nothing of it initially, plus no United players were complaining? Was it even worth a yellow?!

It's the way the ref handled it. If he went running over waving a red in outrage, fine. But to hang about, look at Jones' rolling around, a then get a red card out 30 seconds later is bizarre...

Barkley tried snapping Henderson leg. Did Dean send him off? No because media before the game said hes from the wirral, he dishes out cards and penalties, shouldn't be the ref for the game. Mike Dean decided before the merseyside derby he wanted easy game with no drama. Officials are corrupt end of.

The Vardy one was the same ref who didn't give red card against Rojo the previous week so mitigating circumstances ( whilst still not the right decision).
