FanDuel

Introducing the FanDuel Social League

This month we have teamed up with FanDuel to launch a free to enter league, spanning the next four Gameweeks.

This marks a departure from FanDuel’s usual weekly and daily game setup to offer a distinct league format over a number of Gameweeks.

There will be a range of prizes for the highest scores each Gameweek as well as for the best overall scorers.

In total, there are £200 in Amazon vouchers and £250 in FanDuel credit up for grabs in what looks to be compelling mid-season add-on, particularly for those currently treading water with their Fantasy Premier League line-ups.

Existing FanDuel customers, as well as those new to the game, are free to take part, although it is worth noting that this is only available to UK-based customers.

In addition, for new customers that register for the league, FanDuel are giving away a free £5 credit, which can be accessed by using the promocode SCOUTFIVER when signing up via this link.

If you’re building a FanDuel lineup for the first time we recommend taking a look at our strategy guide that examines which players to target in the various positions.

Getting Started

Click here and pick you FanDuel lineup for Gameweek 22’s matches.

Once you’re lineup is complete, you will either need to register an account or log in.

If you’re registering for the first time, Don’t forget to use the promocode “SCOUTFIVER” to claim your free credit.

Once your lineup is entered you can log back in and edit it, right up until the kick-off in the first match, using this link.

Managing Your Lineup

Each week in our FanDuel Focus article we will be providing a link to the current table of scores before publishing the new link required to select your next Gameweek lineup.

We will also be using our Twitter and Facebook pages to share these links.

Schedule and prizes

The competition takes place over Gameweek 22 – Gameweek 25, with the deadline for entries set at 12:30pm Saturday January 21.

Each Gameweek, the top scoring manager will receive a £25 Amazon voucher and each of the top five highest scorers will get a £10 FanDuel credit.

The overall league score will be measured by combining your top three Gameweek scores over the four set of fixtures.

The overall prizes are:

First place – £50 Amazon voucher, £50 FanDuel credit

Second place – £30 Amazon voucher, £30 FanDuel credit

Third place – £20 Amazon voucher, £20 FanDuel credit

Fourth place – £10 FanDuel credit

Fifth – tenth place – £5 FanDuel credit

I would hope so but not certain. Two full back positions, three contenders (Friend, Barragan, Fabio). Four if you add-in Chambers. Only Gibson genuinely nailed in defence.

Here is my understanding of the situation . Friend was first choice left back until the City game in November . Fabio was considered to be an able back up by the manager and the fans . Fabio put in some good performances in Friend's absence . Karanka said if a player gets injured he has to win his place back hence Friend came off the bench against Swansea and Burnley after he returned from injury he was considered fully fit at the time . Friend started against United because Barragan was suspended and Fabio played right back . Barragan got injured against Leicester and has missed the game against Watford so Fabio is playing right back again . Boro fans love Friend he is considered a model player and he is captain and they thought he would come straight back into the team after injury they were wrong about this . I am not sure about the pecking order at the min .

Barragan won't get in if Friend and Fabio are playing well.

    A) Jones to Spurs def
    B) Hazard to Spurs mid
    D) Save and have 2 FTs next week

    2.1 in the bank

    Foster, Pickford

That is very rash. You had a perfectly good set of defenders this week.Getting a Barnes is never a priority, so you did all that to get Iwobi. Rose could have waited till next week.

Kane is the sort of striker, if you get, you have to keep him through his 2 or 3 blanks because when he scores he tends to score double digit...you're right though 2 blanks & all these buyers would sell & buy the current scoring striker of the week!
If ibra hadnt scored he would be getting sold uswell.

Yes , next 2 home games look good for him. Longer term looking to shift him out for Zaha when he gets back from AFCON and if he falls another .2 at 5.4 would look real value even though he plays for a crap side.

Just be careful, dont take a player whom you may never use, from a team you may need to have more than 2 starters, which would force you to take a hit to take him out later

Zlatan turns 36 in October. He's doing an excellent job, but they do have to consider what comes after.

From my perspective, I'll wait until Summer before I believe any Griezmann hype. The guy could sign for any team on the planet.

He's a wonderful prospect. Pogba Griezmann Martial.... Almost all of France's young stars in the same team. I do want him to come to epl.

I'd love to see him in the PL, but it'd be hard for me to believe United would beat someone like Chelsea to him if they try and sign him as well.

As a Liverpool fan I'd want him at An field but that's not happening anyway. Chelsea and City both might be in it too.

I reckon Payet may well regret this.

Only Marseille in for him and they're 6th in Ligue 1 and have been far from convincing this season. Plus they aren't even willing to meet West Ham's valuation for him.

West Ham have had a bad one, no question, but I'd be surprised if Dimitri's main goal in all of this was end up back at the side he was in two seasons ago without any chance of winning a title or getting a CL spot. Would doubt the wages on offer would be much better, if better at all, than what West Ham pay.

See below, it's a completely fair reason. Issue is he hasn't made that clear, nor has he gone about it in a way to suggest it's homesickness and not him being a diva.

      1. Somalion

So why not state that? He's not actually said he's homesick at all, at least then he could play with the team while they look for a solution. Instead he refuses to train and has now fallen out with a number of players as well.

        1. Evil Buddha
          • 9 Years
          7 years, 5 months ago

Yes he's definitely at fault there. As a professional player you shouldn't say I'm not playing for this team anymore.

          1. Somalion
            • 14 Years
            7 years, 5 months ago

That's my issue and what makes me think it's something other than homesickness. However, that's just my instinct on it, not like I know the guy personally or anything.

            1. Evil Buddha
              • 9 Years
              7 years, 5 months ago

He shouldn't have signed a long contract if he wanted to play for a bigger club. His attitude is not good if wants out when team's in trouble.

                • 14 Years
                7 years, 5 months ago

No but as I mention below, maybe he was promised a move after he signed the contract anyway just so the club could get more money from him. I agree if that's the case then it's very unprofessional.

                  • 9 Years

Behind the scenes and contract issues notwithstanding, he should have gone about in a proper way. Feels like betrayal for fans and team alike.

Aye, he's seemingly gone about it the wrong way if that is the reason. Though there is a part of me wondering if there is something going on behind the scenes that we don't know about.

            • 14 Years
            7 years, 5 months ago

That is something I've thought about a lot as well. One thing I wondered was if they got him to sign that new contract last season on the understanding that they'd let him leave but get a bigger pay out for him. Then they instead have tried to back out of that and make him play.

Pure speculation on my part, though.

Bizarre way to express homesickness though. All it has done is put many suitors off and made it impossible for him and the club to have an amiable way of sorting this out.

I agree that we don't know the reasons, though seeing how angry players like Noble are about it I felt there was more to it.

Having trouble deciding whether I should stick to 3-4-3 or go 3-5-2. Seems like the best OR have chosen the latter.

    My offensive players are:

    Lallana - Sanchez - Hazard - Phillips - 4.3

    Ibra - Defoe - Giroud

    2.8 m ITB - 1 FT

Lallana is playing Swansea, so taking him out for Eriksen/Alli who's playing City might not be the smartest move, even though they conceded four goals against Everton. I cant afford to upgrade my 4.3 to Alli/Eriksen. So my alternative is to sell Giroud and get Kane. That would mean I hold on to 3-4-3 though, and spurs midfield seems more consistent than Kane.

Any tips as to what I should do with my team? Thx in advance!
