FanDuel

Introducing the FanDuel Social League

This month we have teamed up with FanDuel to launch a free to enter league, spanning the next four Gameweeks.

This marks a departure from FanDuel’s usual weekly and daily game setup to offer a distinct league format over a number of Gameweeks.

There will be a range of prizes for the highest scores each Gameweek as well as for the best overall scorers.

In total, there are £200 in Amazon vouchers and £250 in FanDuel credit up for grabs in what looks to be compelling mid-season add-on, particularly for those currently treading water with their Fantasy Premier League line-ups.

Existing FanDuel customers, as well as those new to the game, are free to take part, although it is worth noting that this is only available to UK-based customers.

In addition, for new customers that register for the league, FanDuel are giving away a free £5 credit, which can be accessed by using the promocode SCOUTFIVER when signing up via this link.

If you’re building a FanDuel lineup for the first time we recommend taking a look at our strategy guide that examines which players to target in the various positions.

Getting Started

Click here and pick you FanDuel lineup for Gameweek 22’s matches.

Once you’re lineup is complete, you will either need to register an account or log in.

If you’re registering for the first time, Don’t forget to use the promocode “SCOUTFIVER” to claim your free credit.

Once your lineup is entered you can log back in and edit it, right up until the kick-off in the first match, using this link.

Managing Your Lineup

Each week in our FanDuel Focus article we will be providing a link to the current table of scores before publishing the new link required to select your next Gameweek lineup.

We will also be using our Twitter and Facebook pages to share these links.

Schedule and prizes

The competition takes place over Gameweek 22 – Gameweek 25, with the deadline for entries set at 12:30pm Saturday January 21.

Each Gameweek, the top scoring manager will receive a £25 Amazon voucher and each of the top five highest scorers will get a £10 FanDuel credit.

The overall league score will be measured by combining your top three Gameweek scores over the four set of fixtures.

The overall prizes are:

First place – £50 Amazon voucher, £50 FanDuel credit

Second place – £30 Amazon voucher, £30 FanDuel credit

Third place – £20 Amazon voucher, £20 FanDuel credit

Fourth place – £10 FanDuel credit

Fifth – tenth place – £5 FanDuel credit

    @business cat & somalion

600k is exorbitant in this country........in china where most of the population are dirt poor and used as human robots, its obscene

i just dont know how you can do that...............i mean of course we all want more money for the same job, and maybe if utd decided to pay someone that the so bit it, but in china it just seems kind of wrong

me easy to criticise from the cheap seats

        China owns the world 🙂

Money pouring into China from every corner of the global economy.

Go to Africa...I've seen motorways and suspension bridges being built...all Chinese construction companies and workers...governments signing away exclusive mining rights to pay for it.

They're doing a better job of empire than we managed in the 19th century 🙂

Depends what you mean by "better".

There is no free press in China. Their government can do what it likes overseas (in Africa for example) without the slightest public question. Things western governments maybe used to get away with 150 years ago but no longer can.

It is also true that China's 'economic miracle' is based on huge wage disparity between those who live in the "special economic zones" (like Shanghai) and everywhere else. It's built on peasant labour in effect (or near enough).

            Better at exploiting other countries.

We built railways and "civilised" the population...then milked them dry.

China's building motorways, bridges, airports...then strip mining the countries in return.

            Same model 🙂

China has one thing right...politics has primacy over money.

It's the other way (and the wrong way) round in the west.

      It's exorbitant here too!

That's 20 times the UK average wage per week!

God knows what it is in China...probably 50-100 times your yearly salary per week.

China is very much noveau-riche, if you know what that means 🙂

Gap between wealthy & poor getting bigger all the time.
The top 8 richest people now have the same wealth as poorest 50% of global population. Just the way capitalism works im afraid

Well, there's a bigger wealth disparity now in most countries between rich and poor than there was between the Tsars and the proletariat in 1917...look how that ended.

I've seen a couple (only a couple) over very wise billionaire industry leaders begin to realise the same thing.

Keep grinding the middle classes down to dust until the only choice they have is revolt against the system. Those who ignore history and all that.

Marx and Engels believed the first socialist revolution would be in Britain...we were the most downtrodden workers in the satanic mills of Victorian England.

Turns out we're far better at moaning and putting up with things than we are at guillotining..

Can't say we Irish are much better. Well established at this stage that the middle class here are getting pulverized into oblivion. Once again, moaning seems to be the preferred remedy.

It is utterly ludicrous and obscene, but that is the way football has gone. I've even seen players like Mata state in interviews that the money in football is nonsense, and I think he even said he'd be willing to reduce his wages should they ever bring in some sort of wage cap (which they won't).

Tbh, while I know this debate is had frequently on here, I do believe you hit a certain point of pay in any country where once you exceed it it is simply outrageous. I fully understand supply and demand, but when I see a player like Wayne Rooney earn more in a week than a very top level doctor does in a year, I do wonder if our concept of supply and demand really is correct. That's just one example, any job critical for society could be substituted there.

its usually water off a ducks back for me as its just part and parcel of modern footie......even if it is separating the fans from the players in a way that kinda loses the point of the game

Yep, though I think the disparity (while far more obvious in China of course) is obvious in places like the UK.

Fact is that there are children and families all around England (and my own fair Ireland) without a home tonight, without a meal or bed or somewhere safe to call their own. They may be working families, I certainly know of a few, who can't make the money stretch no matter how hard they try. Until those issues are sorted, I'll never be okay with someone earning £300k a week to kick a ball. But I'm not just targeting footballers, it extend to many other domains and in fairness they will take whatever they're given plus many are very charitable. It is just the incredible disparity that will always irk me somewhat.

    Bottomed...Decent transfer?

Pogba, Aguero, Llorente ---> Coutinho, Giroud, Kane (-4)

Rest of the front are Philips, Sanchez, Stanislas, Lallana, Ibra

Got the funds atm but cant afford any drops/rises.

Will leave me with double Pool and Arsenal but no Chelsea coverage in the front for the upcoming GW.

    Any thoughts?

Injury update – Olivier Giroud’s ankle

    By Lee Hurley -
    Jan 16, 2017
Olivier Giroud’s ankle problem is not believed to be as bad as first feared and the Frenchman should be in line to feature against Burnley at the weekend.

Taken off after an hour against Swansea, Giroud was on the bench with an ice pack on his left ankle.

It was a problem he picked up early on in the first half, but he had soldiered through, despite initially calling to be substituted

How was Stanislas this weekend besides the penalty? Happy with his points but oddly doubting my decision to get him in.

Remember when Harry Redknapp told a journalist that Frank Lampard was going to be world class? He kind of ruined it with this

Said the same about what's his face at QPR before flogging him at the first opportunity.
I've got a lot of time for Redknapp. Never understood why so many don't rate him.

It's because they reversed the home/away fixtures with Liverpool because Anfield wasn't ready.

Wait for news? Take a -4 and deal with Origi too?!

Need to decide who to bench!

      Grant

      Alonso / Jones / McAuley

      Sanchez (c) / Hazard / Lallana / Phillips

      Ibra / Giroud / Carroll

(Pickford, Alli / Ake / Amat)

Currently benching Alli as the rest all have great fixtures and Alli has City away. Saving transfer after hits last week, £1.5m itb. What would you do?

Think I'd rather bench Lallana. Tough choice. AoA?

Is Coutinho worth the extra spend over Lallana? I think Lallana is pretty well priced for his returns.
