Dugout Discussion – Watford vs West Ham United

Gameweek 26 rolls on with an “unfashionable” evening encounter that pairs Watford with West Ham at Vicarage Road.

From a Fantasy perspective, this serves as a scouting mission of the Hammers assets ahead of potential investment for the Gameweek 28 blanks.

Slaven Bilic’s side are just one of eight teams that are currently guaranteed to play over that weekend and, as such, are elevated in our thinking ahead of this encounter.

Andy Carroll is again an absentee as he continues to struggle with a groin complaint, leaving Michail Antonio to lead the attack for the visitors. He’ll be under the microscope, along with Robert Snodgrass who tucks into the number 10 role against the Hornets.

For the home side, Fantasy interest is limited given their forthcoming blank, although promising fixtures to follow has us monitoring the continued form of Troy Deeney and M’Baye Niang.

      I always try to have a good bench in case needed. It looked like it had paid off this week - an unexpected no-show from Phillips but I had an in-form striker ready to step in.

      That went well then. 🙂

      If they did fail, they play in GW27 and GW28. Obviously changes the dynamic of a DGW, but they still have fixtures.
