The ScoutCast takes on the role of support group ahead of Gameweek 18, as the four-strong collective attempt to give advice on how to find motivation when the season begins to slide into the abyss.

I go AWOL, though Peter Kouwenberg comes in for a timely debut. The former Hall of Fame number one is one of those suffering an abject season, after an extraordinary run of three successive top 300 finishes. No, really.

For once, Jonty, Andy and Az are in the presence of Fantasy Premier League greatness, then, as the quartet give counsel on those struggling to soldier on after a season of “unnecessary roughness”.

Elsewhere they talk Harry Kane for once, as exit plans are abandoned, while questioning whether Eden Hazard can justify his selection in light of David Silva’s sudden goal spree.

    Price, fixtures, expected points. Im investing in a goalie. West Brom good Fixtures, Watford. David De Gea prime Fixtures and CS returns. But 5.9. If i Buy DDG now, then i probably dont need to swap him out again.
    Lløssl is a strech, good fixtures coming, but only home fixtures that have been a route to cs.

      These fixtures are precisely the reason you should have wanted to get Alonso in the first place. He got an assist in the last game, what more do you need? He's done more than Hazard and Coutinho in the last couple of games. I'd keep for now.

      Very good looking team. Looking at Burley's upcoming fixtures I would transfer Mee out and drop the double up. Lot of good budget options. Kenny good for 3/4 or maybe get one West Ham cheapie.

    Anyone else think that unlimited transfers for unlimited hits should be capped at something like 5?

    There are now so many FPL teams which are set up for weekly/monthly prizes or just to be the week's top scorer for one day, and the problem is that it plays absolute havoc with the price rises and drops.

    I refuse to believe that it's just 'casuals' dropping and acquiring players in droves based on one bad or good performance. Anyone still playing at the halfway point isn't a casual player.

        I suppose the problem is that hits only penalise people who care about their OR. There is a new breed of player who plays the game for different reasons, like being weekly champion (for a day!) or having the highest TV. I wonder what proportion of transfers are 'genuine', i.e. being made by players who play the game in the way that it is intended.
