Dugout Discussion – Watford vs Everton

Saturday’s slate of seven matches comes to a conclusion at Vicarage Road as Watford entertain Everton at 5.30pm.

This evening’s encounter affords Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers the chance of short-term scouting, with both sides two of only eight teams currently guaranteed to play in Gameweek 31.

The Hornets swept aside Chelsea 4-1 in their previous home match under Javi Gracia, with the likes of Gerard Deulofeu and Abdoulaye Doucoure emerging as potential targets for our five-man midfields.

Meanwhile, both Theo Walcott and Oumar Niasse will fancy their chances against the league’s worst home defence.

The Toffees pair have both delivered two goals and an assist in the last four Gameweeks to earn the interest of Fantasy managers.

Indeed, Niasse was the fourth most transferred in player for Gameweek 28, claiming over 152,00 new owners, while 40,000+ have opted for Walcott as they square up to a backline that’s conceded 26 times in front of their own fans.

      Because the bonus point system doesnt punish OGs that much.. Which is fair as most own goals are just random deflections that arent really anyone's fault. There should be negative bps for "error leading to a goal against" imo.

    Watford don't look at all like scoring.
    I think it is time to call an end for my time with the "deadly predator" that is Richarlison. It think I'll try Gareth Barry or Tom Carrol - they're much more dangerous.

        Better than Niasse, and if he played up top Siggy and Rooney would have someone to play through balls to. Right now the passing quality in their midfield is wasted.

              Mourinho doesn't do desperate to win, he does desperate not to lose. Same with Conte, he will play v defensively imo & let Utd come onto them. I could be wrong of course but I don't see either of them taking any risks for the first 60 mins & v good chance of cancelling each other out for a 0-0.

              You can't legislate for individual mistakes or moments of brilliance or both, but from an approach perspective both mgrs will be setting out not to lose first & foremost imo.

      I'm honestly thinking of just ignoring GW31 & planning for the doubles instead. I have 3x Liverpool plus Theo, Kenny, Daniels.... I think that's enough shite in my team. Maybe mcburnie & Elliott > Niasse & Hennessey to get an extra body or 2 out but nothing dramatic
