Dugout Discussion – Man City vs Chelsea

After Brighton claimed a vital win over Arsenal at the Amex Stadium, Sunday’s second and final fixture sees Manchester City entertain Chelsea in the 4pm kick-off.

The league leaders boast two of the top six captain picks for Gameweek 29 in Sergio Aguero (6.8%) and Kevin De Bruyne (2.5%).

Over their last four home matches, Aguero has nine goals and 50 points in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), while De Bruyne has three sets of double-digits and 45 points.

Leroy Sane’s goal and assist at the Emirates on Thursday evening has had a significant impact on the FPL transfer market. The most bought player (235,000+) for Gameweek 29, the German international goes in search of a sixth 10+ points haul in front of his own fans.

Meanwhile, sales of Raheem Sterling look set to escalate as he misses out again. The most sold player in each of the last two Gameweeks, he was transferred out by a hefty 746,000+ during that period.

For the visitors, Eden Hazard arrives on the back of fine recent away output – he’s racked up 40 points in his previous four on the road, thanks to four goals and an assist.

The Belgian looks set to start as a “false 9” today, with Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud named among the Chelsea subs.

Both Pedro and Willian start alongside Hazard, with the Brazilian, in particular, boasting fine form. Willian was bought by over 95,000 FPL managers for Gameweek 29, with last week’s opener at Old Trafford taking his tally to four strikes in the last three matches across all competitions.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

I have to say that Pascal Gross has been my favourite fantasy player this season.

He's easy to bench, easy to predict when he's going to pick up points. Remained a relative differential and is always involved.

He may not have the most points but he's probably the player I'll find hardest to get rid of on my WC

The leader in my league leads me with 100 pts but is without the FH chip. Therefore I need to maximize this chip as much as I can...

So far my plan is to have 8 players for GW31
WC in GW32 (having in mind 34 and 37)
    Bench boost in GW34
    FH in GW35
    TC in 37

Do you think this is a good plan? Generally is 35 giving us better chances of points with the Free hit Chip?
    Thanks.

He won’t be on pens if Defoe displaces Wilson

Switch to Mounie. Good next 2 fixtures and plays in blank gw.

Totally depends on what I do with him. If I sell him, keep him for his hatty.

      Keeping.
Likely will troll ppl that bench/sell him this week and I don’t have the luxury of removing players that have a fixture in GW31

Keeping. No point to spend 4 pts worth transfer to see him score. That transfer can be used better in def or mid or saved.

I had to change my approach. With Son perhaps not starting and considering his poor away form I had to do something. With Davies and Son in my team starting Wilson against TOT looked like a suicide in FFS cup. So I transferred Son to Pritchard and Wilson to Auba using every penny I have. This move is neutral for the amount of gw31 players, it gives higher ceiling and at least a pretty good possibility to gain lost 4 points during next two round. The result remains to be seen. It is a gamble, but no risk, no gain.

You got to keep now. Type of player to score just when you least expect it

I'm keeping the waste of space Wilson, because if I get rid, he will do what Son done to me yesterday.

Keeping because a transfer can be used better than getting rid of Wilson

I think the fact we've come this far, with spurs next, we may just have to ride it out. Oh dear!
King is a good option I may just get him in as well for 31, and hope he scores a hatty like last year

Keeping unless he gets dropped. He's one of those players that will put a brace in after a few blanks. He's cheap and needs patience.

Luckily I can bench Wilson, because JAyew keeps coming up with the goods. I'm free-hitting GW31, but I might still sell Wilson for another cheapish striker with great fixtures in GW30 and 32. You'll never guess who I'm looking at though. I'd get laughed off the site.

Will be wildcarding soon after GW 31 so will hold Wilson and bring anyone else I want in alongside him rather than swapping him out

Im not using my free hit in 31 so im keeping for now until its WC in 32.
I just dont have the luxury to get rid.
It sucks watching murray/deeney/ayew/mounie score but ive come this far plan on suffering fir another 2 GW

SInce I have 2 FTs for GW30, I'm thinking of switching to Mounie and then getting King for 31

Keeping, benching this week then playing in 31, it's still a good fixture and he's still striker in a team that can score goals agaisnt an awful West Brom.

He's a 6m striker, they are not meant to score consistently but I'd still give him a chance against West Brom, after that he can leave.

is now the time to invest in arsenal? 3 home games against moderate opposition. Then DGW & another home game? If yes, who? I am thinking Bellerin. Or Ramsey? But will he start all games? Not planning on Auba.
