In a season that has thrown up a number of surprises, some solace can be taken in the predictable. After dominating the midfield scoring charts in 2016/17, with Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Son Heung-min all among the top ten scoring midfielders in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Spurs’ dynamic trio are at it again.

All three once more sit near the summit of the positional scoring charts, ranking fifth, sixth and seventh in the midfield rankings. Amazingly, after 32 Gameweeks, there are just nine points between them, highlighting the fine margins that have separated these players throughout the current campaign.

In recent weeks, however, it has been Alli who has come to the fore – staking a claim to significant Fantasy interest ahead of a pair of Double Gameweeks to close out the year.

Is Alli’s recent form enough to earn him favour over Spurs’ other midfield options – or will one of Son or Eriksen emerge as the superior asset during FPL’s final Gameweeks?

    If getting Kane in before G36 it has to be now IMO.

    Is this worth it?
    GW33: Vardy and Salah -> Kane and Gross (-4)
    GW34: Auba and Mustafi -> Lukaku and Dunk (-4)

      I’m a late Kane gainer, but then again I missed out on his back to back hat tricks.

      I just don’t see Kane doing more then Aub in their respective matches.

          For this week yes. Southampton are that bad and Aub will play 90, unlike Kane who may be protected after 70 and winning.

          For the record I can see both getting two, and I’m sticking to my plan to shift on my Arsenal assets for United for 34.

    I have all chips but free hit, is it good plan to TC sanchez in gw 34 and do wildcard in gw35?

    I would field 9 players who have dgw 34 (DDG, chillwel,maguire,gross,willian,eriksen,sanchez,lukaku, mahrez) ..other two are firmino and virgil

      I planned my WC around this. it’s a risk as it relies on Swansea and keeping injury free but it means I could feasibly get a bench boost of:

      It is a coin toss, both have same odds (7/2 to at least brace). So everyone has to go basicly with gut feeling. I don't trust either, but Kane has not been or even looking to be good after injury, so Auba for me.

    A lot of injuries that could be key, those that are wildcarding late I feel lose the benefit in the long term of it.

    Seems to me they are treating it like a 2/3 week free hit. Each to their own.

        Absolutely, the fever pitch that this place came to when arguing one way or the other showed it.

        Personally a wildcard is a long term thing that’s has rippling affects, rather then just for 2 weeks.

      TV is much less important towards the end of the season but that's when you're talking about maybe 0.2-0.3m. Most would lose 0.6-0.9 which isn't worth it unless you're sure you won't be bringing him back

        If it's a defender/goalkeeper then I'd go with A) as you have their defence covered anyway and can captain Sanchez in 34.

        If it's Lukaku then I wouldn't go with A) as you already have a captain for 34 and would be losing your only United defence cover.

        If it's someone else then I dunno. 😀

      That was my plan before the poor double schedule was released.
      Current plan is WC now, TC34, 10 players in 35, BB37 with a -4.
      I've done a lot of different drafts with different ideas but that structure seems to be the most efficient.

          DDG - Cech
          Maguire - Mustafi - Tarkowski - Lowton - Dummett

          Will have 9 in GW35 now that Salah is out, but it's fine cause Alli has more games and great fixtures to replace him.
          Double premium keepers sounds bad until you realize Cech is only 5.3 and fits perfectly for us with no FH.
          Auba+Silva in GW35, Ayew+Fernandez+Naughton in GW37 for a -4.
          Pretty happy with it.

      Are you selling Salah? How much value are you losing? Losing 0.6+ team value just to get him back in 2 weeks doesn't make sense to me

    I was planning out ousting Auba for Lukaku but now I'm not sure given Arsenal's DGW and Auba's form. This being said I recognise the need for Utd attackers currently.
