For me as players it's not even close - Arnie. But if you consider fixtures it becomes tighter. Arnie sets up goals too, Wood doesn't. And Arnie isn't potentially competing with Vokes and Barnes around Europe.

Lovren once back from the WC is probably first choice alongside VVD

TAA will most likely start first game, Klopp spoke to press conference 2 games ago saying he could feature against West Ham. I will definitely take my chances with him as he barely played at the WC

I think two 4.5mids in a 4-4-2 squad is too stingy, especially as there are genuine contenders in the 5.0-6-5 brackets. Would have a think about some good, old-fashioned redistribution.

But with that formation i would rather Get peltier and just stick to my guns with two out of douglas cedric and tomkins.

I like it, but of course you rely on the GKs you choose at 4.5 and your bench doesn't offer much in case someone in your 11 fails.

Neverthless, Robbertson, Bailly, Douglas, Salah, Mahrez, Sigurdsson, Kun and Auba, all in one team is great.

You could also downgrade Mahrez to D.Silva or Kun (who will rotate) to Firmino and upgrade the third striker or the goalkeeper.

Last year he started 6 games and came off the bench 12 times.

He did miss 16 games through injury though.

I think it's less important at the start of the season because you have the Wildcard in your back pocket. Long term I agree I wouldn't want non-players on my bench.

Easy enough to say without any team to back it up. 14 players with 87m is not straightforward without a few compromises.

There are many ways to skin a cat. I don't disagree with your point at all. A squad of 15 with no bench fodder could be viable.

But you could alternatively pick 11 quality, expensive players. They're more likely to score points, and less prone to rotation. The 4.0 bench fodders will come in only if absolutely necessary, take their 2 points or if you're lucky 6 points. Or just make transfers and take a hit now and then.

Looks okay but Fab is probably a waste of 0.5 I think assuming you'll play Ederson .... even the two tough matches City play in gw 1 and 8 Fab has tough fixtures too.

Best going with a 4m keeper or if you want to cover those two fixtures maybe Patricio ?

I'd take money out of defence to do Haz to Salah personally. His consistency screams perma captain.

Hi Berbs got your email, I will be signing up for another crack at the title.

Doesn't really matter too much to be honest if you can make it to GW4 without wildcarding. You will know the players to get by then and their price will not have skyrocketed too much. Wait for much later and you may hit a couple of fixture shifts but those generally matter if your defense is full of stalwarts like Dunk, Foster and Holebas. The premiums keep clean everywhere these days. It is more important to not pull the WC trigger in GW2 and GW3 in my view.

Decent team. All I'd say is don't expect your plans to work perfectly as you'd expect.

Wood is a good option, Austin the other I'd consider.

I'd love Silva in my team but I took him out because I'm not convinced on his game time.

I'm starting with Auba rather than planning a transfer. I think Auba could do great in first two games

im stuck as well on whether to just start with auba from gw1... have mahrez as my city attack.

It looks quite like a lot of others on here, plenty of good players from good teams.

It's good, but not sure it will last too long.
Players like Shaw, wan bissaka, martial and sorloth need to be monitored closely. A couple of them is ok imo, but I'd worry too much with this team.
