Buoyed by some impressive scores from the opening day, the Scoutcast crew are in optimistic mood as they tackle the key issues facing Fantasy managers ahead of Gameweek 2.

I’m joined by Andy, Az and new Scoutcast face Neale (aka Skonto Rigga) to separate the wheat from the chaff in the Fantasy Premier League’s transfer market.

We ponder whether reports of the demise of forwards have been greatly exaggerated and list the under-performing players from Gameweek 1 who may well punish their sellers.

Our rough with the smooth round-up features a tale of two benches.

While later in the show I come under attack from my colleagues, and even a moth, as we search for this season’s budget midfield gem.

    Thinking of going from a 3-4-3 to a 4-4-2 post GW 2. What are your thoughts on Peltier > Bellerin & King > 4.5 ST?

        Bellerin isn't nailed, and Arsenal will still struggle at the back imo. The general idea is viable though, but I'd go for PVA

          You think Lichsteiner will displace him at RB when Monreal is back? Could happen but he'd have to be really poor for Emery to do that.

          I'm tempted because of that run of fixtures.

            Their defence is about similar level, PVA is better going forward and he's nailed. I think it's insane to even consider Bellerin with Emery's history of rotating fullbacks

      For free? I like it.
      Leaves a pretty much optimal defence, decent mids and a very good front line.
      Lucas Moura might need addressing sooner rather than later would be the only concern.
      My locked in move for next week for free is just Kabasele to Bellerin with 1 mil ITB for it.

      Also, another stat. Look up Premier League and Champions League results of City when de Bruyne didn't play. In the last 2 years, I found 7-8 matches, out of which City won only 2.

      There were some other comfortable wins against smaller teams where KDB came on late.

      Still, captaining Agüero.

      Players who cost more than 9.5m are generally low value if you never (C) them. Transfer him in if you are going to (C) him regularly, if not then don't transfer him in

    I've just signed up as a member and I'm trying to work out how to use the member tools.

    How do I create a Watchlist? Do I just create my own stats table and add the players I want to keep an eye on?

    Also what other tools do you recommend to use for a new member?

      All the tools have the merits. I particularly like the members tables, ticket and player comparison. There isn't a watchlist as far I can remember. Just do that on the regular website.

      Player stats and Team stats are the key features. Thats the gold mine. Look at other public tables or create your own public / private table.

    how far do we think kdb will fall? looking at the delta he went down after losing about 10% of owners. given that he will be in a lot of ghost ship type teams I think another 20-30% may still sell, it will just depend at what rate.

    imagine if he fell to 9.6 I’d be licking my lips. too much to hope for?

      The red flag will have multiplied the change threshold by two or three. 9.6 could happen but would take a while. Hope he's not out that long.

      I got rid off Mili. Think he won't reach last season numbers. He only assisted twice and scored plenty from penos. He was a bad pick in my opinion.

    If you had both Sterling and Aguero who would you pick to captain this week. Sterling imo might play more minutes then Aguero based on getting more playing time last fixture. Also Sterling had better underlying statistics with more chances than Aguero. Surely this points to Sterling with the better potential for this week.
