Salah benched as Mane and Robertson miss out altogether

Six Premier League matches take place this evening to bring Gameweek 15 to a swift close, with many Fantasy Premier League captains – and vice-captains, following Sergio Aguero (£11.0m) and Raheem Sterling‘s (£11.5m) no-shows at Watford – set to be in action.

Mohamed Salah (£13.0m), Harry Kane (£12.4m) and Eden Hazard (£11.0m) are the second, third and fourth-most popular captaincy options of this midweek round of matches – but just two of these in-demand players start for their respective clubs tonight.

Salah is only among the substitutes for Liverpool tonight as Jurgen Klopp rings the changes at Turf Moor, with injured pair Sadio Mane (£9.8m) and Andrew Robertson (£6.5m) not in the match-day squad and Trent Alexander-Arnold (£5.3m) and Roberto Firmino (£9.2m) also dropping to the bench.

Xherdan Shaqiri (£7.0m) lines up in a front three with Divock Origi (£5.0m) and Daniel Sturridge (£5.8m).

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.2m), who has experienced price rises in three consecutive days having been transferred in by over 525,000 FPL managers ahead of last night’s deadline, also lines up for Arsenal as the Gunners head to Old Trafford.

Alexandre Lacazette (£9.6m) is named as a substitute for the third match running as Unai Emery perseveres with a 3-4-2-1, while Jose Mourinho has dropped Romelu Lukaku (£10.7m) and Paul Pogba (£7.9m) to the bench as he matches the Gunners with a three-man backline.

Hazard is named in Chelsea’s starting XI along with Marcos Alonso (£7.1m) as the Blues head to Molineux, though there are five changes elsewhere in Maurizio Sarri’s starting XI.

Morgan Gibbs-White (£4.3m) replaces the suspended Ruben Neves (£5.0m) for Wolves, while Ryan Bennett (£4.2m) is recalled to Nuno Espirito Santo’s line-up.

Dele Alli (£8.9m) is among five players dropping out of Mauricio Pochettino’s starting XI for the visit of Southampton, with Kieran Trippier (£6.1m) fit to play at right-back.

Kane and Christian Eriksen (£9.2m) retain their starts after Sunday’s north London derby defeat.

Kelvin Davis has made four changes to the Saints side in what will be his only match in charge, with the south coast club reverting to a flat-back four.

Richarlison (£7.0m) is back on the left wing for Everton as Cenk Tosun (£6.6m) returns up front, with Rafael Benitez going ultra-defensive with a 5-4-1 at Goodison Park.

Jamie Vardy (£8.9m) is absent through injury as Leicester head to Craven Cottage, with Tom Cairney (£4.8m) dropping to the bench for the hosts.

Back to the fixture where we started this round-up, Sean Dyche has made five changes to his Burnley starting XI as James Tarkowski (£4.7m) returns in defence.

Burnley XI: Hart, Bardsley, Tarkowski, Mee, Taylor, Gudmundsson, Cork, Westwood, Brady, Barnes, Wood.

Liverpool XI: Alisson, Gomez, Van Dijk, Matip, Moreno, Henderson, Milner, Keita, Shaqiri, Sturridge, Origi.

Everton XI: Pickford, Coleman, Zouma, Mina, Digne, Gueye, Gomes, Lookman, Sigurdsson, Richarlison, Tosun.

Newcastle United XI: Dubravka, Yedlin, Fernandez, Schar, Lascelles, Manquillo, Ki, Diame, Atsu, Rondon, Murphy.

Fulham XI: Rico, Christie, Odoi, Mawson, Le Marchand, Kamara, Chambers, Seri, Sessegnon, Vietto, Mitrovic.

Leicester City XI: Schmeichel, Simpson, Morgan, Soyuncu, Chilwell, Mendy, Ndidi, Albrighton, Maddison, Diabete, Iheanacho.

Wolverhampton Wanderers XI: Rui Patricio, Bennett, Coady, Boly, Doherty, Moutinho, Saiss, Vinagre, Gibbs-White, Jota, Jimenez.

Chelsea XI: Arrizabalaga, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Christensen, Alonso, Kante, Fabregas, Loftus-Cheek, Willian, Morata, Hazard.

Manchester United XI: De Gea, Dalot, Bailly, Rojo, Smalling, Darmian, Herrera, Matic, Lingard, Martial, Rashford.

Arsenal XI: Leno, Bellerin, Sokratis, Holding, Mustafi, Kolasinac, Guendouzi, Torreira, Ramsey, Iwobi, Aubameyang.

Tottenham Hotspur XI: Lloris, Trippier, Alderweireld, Foyth, Rose, Dier, Winks, Eriksen, Son, Lucas, Kane.

Those still holding wildcards, what's your plan? Are you using it soon to get an optimum team pre the christmas fixture pile up, or do you plan to hang onto it for a late December emergency? Or even shun it altogether? (Is your team that good?!)

I'm considering moving now, to get some spurs and arsenal players in, but my current team is ok. Unless I move out Salah, I'm not looking at wholesale changes, so it's borderline whether it's worth it.

Selling Salah would swing it for me. I'd have funds to redistribute. Not sure I could really justify it without that.

          Activated it last night.

My team wasn't in a terrible state, but lots of little tweaks that I feel made sense:

          Dropped:
          - Arnautovic (Injured)
          - Salah (Expensive)
          - Hazard (meh form, Sterling on fire)
          - Success (my 5th mid not great)

          Purchased:
          - Aubameyang (fixtures etc)
          - Sterling
          - Anderson (fixtures, form)
          - Wilson (goal machine lol)

Question around Robertson too. Love him, but Pool don't have the most amazing fixtures. TAA may be better value; depending on Gomez injury, could play more; price changes.

May also drop Alonso. Chelsea are a bit meh right now & not many defensive points vs City, I guess. Good fixtures afterwards, but I think he could get rotated a tad with Emerson.

I've been very understand why he hasn't been dropped over the last two seasons, but now feels like the perfect time to switch it up a tad. Alonso will become 1st choice again, but could be a tricky period.

Your 4 dropped are similar to those I'm looking to get rid of. Also Luiz (I don't have Alonso). Was considering bringing in a Wolves defender for him, but they've not been great.

I really like Wilson, Bournemouth's fixtures aren't great. Then again, I've got Fraser, so maybe Fraser and Arnie to Wilson and Anderson would be a good swap there.

Yup, also with regarding Robertson. I could swap him with Luiz to TAA and Gomez, also freeing up some funds.

No spurs players in there for you despite the fixtures. I'm considering one of the Mids, or Kane, but am undecided on what would work there.

Will hold for one more week. CL next week so will have a better idea on the pre xmas fitness levels. Also spurs and city have a tough fixture next so won't get them in but can do from 17.

80 points after bonus and bench points. Decent.

2FT and 1M ITB, what should I be looking to do before the weekend?

    Fabianski
    Laporte - Alonso - Robertson
    Salah - Hazard - Richarlison - Kenedy
    Kane - Jimenez - Wilson

    Bench: Norris, Doherty, Camarasa, Yoshida.

Maybe Aubameyang will bench against Huddersfield because he played a lot the last days. But then he will come in the last twenty minutes and score two goals.
